I think we have a tinderbox in the making.

There is a very good chance that 55% to 65% of the country will be opposed to Death Care when it is voted on, and that 1/3 the country will be violently opposed. And why not. Anybody over 50 is facing a death sentence.

But LD and ROP are probably right. The Fascists are so power hungry that they will try to vote for their power grab despite an overwhelming majority of the country opposed.

And that might be the seminal event that causes middle class America to rise up in rage.

Personally, I prefer the guillotine.

LD, you hit it on the head. We had the same thing here in VT when Gov Howie Dean decided he wanted gays to marry. Our so called elected representatives voted their "conscience" instead the people's wishes even though at countless town meetings and gatherings the public overwhelmingly told them we didn't want it.

At a town meeting with Howie, I voiced my opinion that most people didn't think it was right and he told me point blank that the issue was far too complicated for an average voter like myself to comprehend all of the intricacies involved. I gave him a one finger salute and marched out the door. I know it wasn't the most adult thing to do but boy did I feel better.

Fortunately during the next election a goodly portion of the scumbags that voted for it were removed from office. When some of them were informed that was the main reason they lost their seats, they for the most part couldn't understand. After all they were only doing what they felt was right, screw what the people wanted.

This may be our only recourse to rectify the situation. Only hope and pray it won't be too late to reverse the damage the Bamster and his minions have wrought.

On the other hand, we could all gather in DC and pay Barry a visit...... Just wishing.

"they cannot reason this simple equation out"

Yes they can. The laws of supply and demand are so well known and understood that even Harvard graduates know how they work

The Moron says that the goals are to reduce costs, improve servce and increase access. That's a lie.

The actual goal is to increase government power. They don't care about the cost, service or access. Once Death Care is rammed down our throats, there will be no choices or alternatives, so cost, service and access can be whatever the Statists decide. And they will decide whatever increases their power.

Well, on another tack, I have to turn my wayback machine to Ma Bell. Now...in the 80's, it was said that Bell Telephone was a monopoly and monopolies in this great nation were, technically, illegal. So, the move was on and new phone companies cropped up. MCI, Verizon, Alltell, and they came and went and came back.

Competition.

Now this administration is saying, essentially that competition is bad. That the cost of health insurance is skyrocketing because of it. Any pedestrian economist can understand that competition keeps prices under control, for the most part.

So, with a one-payer "healthcare" system (a monopoly) would do what, exactly to prices? I ask you.

IN a socialist's heart of hearts, they cannot reason this simple equation out. They can talk about corporate greed, unfair pricing, price-gouging even...but when you bring it into the light of a one-entity control setup, they seem to think that greed, graft and selfish nepotism goes away.

*sigh*.....I shrug my shoulders and shake my head.

Yep, I've certainly noticed this. They act like a bad baby sitter who, when the child rebels against them, they get offended and try to justify themselves to the parents.

From their perspective they truly believe that what we say is unimportant based solely on "we know what's best for you, now take your medicine (literally) and like it".

That kind of attitude has never worked well in this nation. Fortunately, we have most of August to further examine the bill, and maybe....just maybe....enough people will see that it's total crap and a lie and a cheat and a boondoggle and the biggest bag of crap that has come down the pike in a long time. And....on other fronts, amnesty is coming again...and crap and tax....on and on...and they truly believe socialism is the way.

But they don't understand socialism because, as they see it, "How can it be socialism? I'm in the government...and I was elected...and how can an elected official (me) possibly be charged with making decisions for the people if they won't let me make them?"

They get wrapped up in their little world and then lose sight completely.

How much you wanna bet that even with the polls and Town Hall meetings telling our reps that the majority of the people don't want this NoCare, they will go back to D.C. and vote it the way they want to?
They are not listening to us anymore and it shows by the contempt they hold towards us. The mob, the rabble rousers, un American filth that dares speak against the holier than thou.

"the CPUSA’s program and his are virtually identical."

Since The Moron has declared that victory is not the objective in Afghanistan, isn't it time to retire the "virtually identical" part.

They know they are losing this battle. End of discussion - they can astroturf all they want.

Even Arlene Turncoat was much more gracious today in Lebanon. He actually took q/a from audience and was rather accomodating - although his mic holder looked very uncomfortable - as if he could not believe that the audience was not lapping up the chance to sign up for O'care.
