According to Kari from Seattle we've lost some of our constitutional protections under George W. and hopes Obama will restore them. And Bob Fertik of New York City wants a special prosecutor to investigate the crimes of George W. I've not once lost any of my freedoms since 9-11. Sure I saw a spike in security and precautions when traveling but it's tapered off now. If you're a person of questionable character, regardless of being an American, and you're making phone calls overseas to members of known and suspected terrorist organizations, well,..that raises a red flag to the FBI, CIA, etc. and no doubt they will be tapping and listening to your lines for reasons of security. Is there a possibility of crimes against humanity committed by our government? Perhaps. But I'm willing to bet that a lot of these accusations are driven by mass hysteria and pure outright hatred for our sitting president. But if you look into the past you'll see previous presidents who usurped the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Such as John Adams who had a reporter, critical of his administration arrested and imprisoned. And FDR who had Americans of Japanese descent forcibly removed and relocated to internment camps, strange however, that he didn't do this to Americans of German descent. And speaking of Germans, and this is a bit of a stretch, if George W. is like Hitler as his critics claim, then they wouldn't be alive the next day nor the next for Hitler tolerated no critics but made them simply disappear. Sorry for the long rant but these asinine outbursts from the left really tick me off.

P.S. My mistake. Hitler was Austrian. Not German but he was brutally barbaric and evil nonetheless.

I agree with Colonel. However, why don't people ever advocate the legalization of hemp, instead of marijuana? (They are different species, despite the fact that both have the scientific name Cannabis sativa, with different subspecies names--sativa and indica). Marijuana can have levels of at least 20% THC, the chemical that gets you "high", while hemp only has 0.3% (you would pass out long before you smoked enough to reach an intoxicated state). Industrial hemp has just as many medical benefits as marijuana, plus several in industry (paper, textiles, plastics, etc.), is environmentally friendlier than cotton and other plants, and is a very nutritious food substance. We even import it, but can't grow it ourselves, thanks to that f##king Marijuana Tax Act of 1937.

Of course, they probably don't even know the differences between the two plants (like the people I interviewed when I wrote the research paper last year).

Note: RBtini's are classified according to the ratio between gin & vermouth. E.G. a 10 to 01 = 10 parts gin to 1 part vermouth (legend has it RB was conceived one such batch). Anything less than an 8 to 2 is for girls, however, any dame that can still stand after an 8 to 2 is a lady of fine standing & composure. The following is in the 10 to 1 category.

Equipment:

1 - Quart crystal martini pitcher (preferably Swedish or Danish modern in design)
1- Matching crystal stirrer

Ingredients:

29 oz. of Beefeater London Dry Gin (no exceptions, though the use of Hendricks gin is also exceptional, it is not an RBtini).

3 oz of Nolly Pratt French Dry Vermouth (no exceptions)

Prepare early morning for early evening consumption (preferably 12 hrs)

With pitcher slightly tilted so as to allow liquids to run down its side, pour Vermouth into specified pitcher followed immediately after with said Gin pouring carefully so as to not bruise the gin.

Stir gently with stirrer for 20-30 seconds & place in freezer for 12 hrs

At the appointed hour, remove pitcher from freezer & place on matching Swedish or Danish modern teak & stainless tray. Martini glasses need to be chilled as the liquid is already at freezing.

If you must, you can add an olive (no pimento, please), however, if you want a salad, you should just ask for one.

Pour the liquid into the glasses. As you pour, you will notice a mercury like thickness to the liquid which is the direct result of its low temperature achieved without the use of ice, which of course melts thereby diluting the liquid, which will then render the presentation suitable only to liberal democrats (as they are particularly attracted to diluting everything).

While enjoying your RBtini, please be sure to maintain the proper fuel/air mixture by slurping a certain amount of air while you sip your RBtini. Failure to do so can lead to fouling of your system, backfiring (not to mention unconsciousness).

There you have it. Just in time for the holidays. Enjoy.

Kilmeny, don't forget the word 'distraction'. It seems as if any time the slightest hint of an almost-scandal related to The One escapes through the MSM firewall, all Bamy needs to do is declare it a 'distraction' and the unwashed masses gleefuly look the other way.

Ironic, considering Obama will likely attempt to distract us all while our liberties, and earnings are all stripped away in favor social programs and higher taxes.

Here's my question for the Messiah:

"What will your administration do to ensure that I never have to hear the words 'transparency', 'bailout', 'sustainable', 'crimes of the Bush adminstration', 'green', 'incentivize' and while we're at it 'hope' and 'change'?"

This strongly reminds me of those Q and A columns in the magazines you're forced to read in doctors' offices where the questions all sound suspiciously like they were written by the same person. Or like the last PTA meeting I attended.

Where are the 'ethnic' names? Just curious. It's a wonder that many more didn't turn out for our run-off here in GA. ;) Guess the hype died down?

Is it just me, or do some of the names and the questions seem a bit.. stereotypical?

S. Man. (Stand for something else? Like 'Screw the Man') All about
Marijuana. Where the heck is Denton, anyways?

Kari, Seattle. Of course a Seattle-ite would be against President Bush and his policies. Suprise, suprise. A cutesy name like that just tops it off.

Diane, New Jersey. Well, someone didn't spell it right in SG's post, but imagine that.. someone in N.J. worried about Wall Street!?!

James_M, Nashville, TN. Christian sounding name, from a 'country' area worried about stem cell research. Nashville isn't, exactly, known for it's progressives.

JasonWyatt, Raleigh, NC. Probably a real question thrown in for good measure. ;)

Bob Fertik, New York City. Only one with a full name given, and someone one poster knows. I'll leave it at that. ;)

Greg, Minnesota. The heartland! Who isn't more concerned about getting their pot than the heartland? And with an 'average' name like Greg? Everyone should be on the wagon to consider the possibilities. Doesn't the 'heartland' run America?

Jentry, Lincoln, NE. What better freaking name for a 'farmer' than Jentry? Did they watch the CMA awards before writing these questions up?

Betsie, Mtn Home, AR. What a patriotic name.. with a creative bent. Don't know much about the community, but it looks a bit 'heartland' with a few military org's built-in. Do a Google search.. you'll see what I mean.

Diane, Boston, MA. All about the environment. I bet, if she really existed, she'd be one of those 'hybrid' driving millionaires that go to the cause-du-jour with her perfectly coiffed hair and expertly done nails and make-up, with her mink stole stowed away in the trunk.. just in case it isn't cool to wear at the event.

I know, I know.. you can see a butterfly in a cloud when I see a mug of beer, or Jesus in a french toast when I just see yummy butter.. but something about these 'questions' and the 'submitters' just seems a bit too.. convenient.

Is it just me, or do some of the names and the questions seem a bit.. stereotypical?

S. Man. (Stand for something else? Like ‘Screw the Man’) All about
Marijuana. Where the heck is Denton, anyways?

Kari, Seattle. Of course a Seattle-ite would be against President Bush and his policies. Suprise, suprise. A cutesy name like that just tops it off.

Diane, New Jersey. Well, someone didn’t spell it right in SG’s post, but imagine that.. someone in N.J. worried about Wall Street!?!

James_M, Nashville, TN. Christian sounding name, from a ‘country’ area worried about stem cell research. Nashville isn’t, exactly, known for it’s progressives.

JasonWyatt, Raleigh, NC. Probably a real question thrown in for good measure. ;)

Bob Fertik, New York City. Only one with a full name given, and someone one poster knows. I’ll leave it at that. ;)

Greg, Minnesota. The heartland! Who isn’t more concerned about getting their pot than the heartland? And with an ‘average’ name like Greg? Everyone should be on the wagon to consider the possibilities. Doesn’t the ‘heartland’ run America?

Jentry, Lincoln, NE. What better freaking name for a ‘farmer’ than Jentry? Did they watch the CMA awards before writing these questions up?

Betsie, Mtn Home, AR. What a patriotic name.. with a creative bent. Don’t know much about the community, but it looks a bit ‘heartland’ with a few military org’s built-in. Do a Google search.. you’ll see what I mean.

Diane, Boston, MA. All about the environment. I bet, if she really existed, she’d be one of those ‘hybrid’ driving millionaires that go to the cause-du-jour with her perfectly coiffed hair and expertly done nails and make-up, with her mink stole stowed away in the trunk.. just in case it isn’t cool to wear at the event.

Economy close to collapsing, 10% of home owners may walk on their mortgages, governors are selling senate seats, Putin is sending warships into the western hemisphere, Iran is months away from a nuclear device, the world is sinking into a recession/depression that will destabilize dozens of weak countries (which historically has led to wars big and small) including China and many in the Middle East and South America..........so what is on the loons' minds? Cheaper dope, BDS, Blackwater, and Al Toad.

Oh my my, we do have a lot to look forward to from the obamy obamistration.

I suppose doing something positive about the Internal Revenue Code and Internal Revenue Service wouldn't be considered change...sigh.

So, you agree in principle. I believe the good Colonel is suggesting only that it is time to move in that direction. I concur, and I don't participate the activities.

I keep hearing of these RBtinis. Methinks that BHO should adopt a windfall profit tax on these rich bloggers, such as SG, and then fly us off to an S&L conference (somewhere warm, with beaches) where RBtini samples can be made available to the group. I'm just sayin'...
