Czar To Give Out BP $ In 6 Month Chunks

From an approving Associated Press:

Oil claims: 6 months of payments per each request

Sun Jul 11, 2010

WASHINGTON – The man in charge of providing compensation for victims of the Gulf oil spill says he’s ready to give those eligible a full six months’ worth of emergency payments on a single request.

Ken Feinberg, who’s administering the $20 billion fund established by BP, says that speeding up the claims process is part of the effort to help people feel an added degree of financial certainty.

Feinberg says that a payment based on six months of losses rather than month-by-month requests will cut back on the number of claims his office expects to receive.

Well, anything to make his job easier.

Feinberg appeared Sunday on CNN’s "State of the Union."

Whether or not Mr. Feinberg is acting as Mr. Obama’s Czar, he certainly has the mind of a federal bureaucrat.

Lest we forget, it has only been 82 days since the oil leak began. That is less than three months.

But it’s other people’s money he is giving away. So who cares?

and btw, who wants to bet whether or not there is a thriving business in New Orleans right now with the purpose of “proving” that Obamy voters there have been running successful business for years, right up to the time of the BP spill?

Let’s see now, what was that Barton said? O yeah now I remember……….something about a “slush fund”, but then the repubs threw him under the bus ….showing once again that the repubs, are as stupid as can be…. or like G. Wallace said: “there’s not ten cents worth of difference between ’em”. Would some conservative with balls please stand up to these Chicago gangsters!?., No offense intended to Palin or Brewer, cause if they have the moxie there’s sure as hell more than ten cents worth of difference between them and the wimpy ass repub leadership.
