Deja Vu: Obama Flips McCain ‘The Bird’

From YouTube (for the moment):

Here is a still, for when Google removes the clip:

Does this seem familiar? It should.

As we have previously noted, Mr. Obama made a similar gesture toward Mrs. Clinton in Raleigh, NC back on April 17, 2008, after a primary debate:

What a fine gentleman he is.

He will make us all proud as our President no doubt.

It would be interesting to know if he uses that “gesture” in speeches when he isn’t discussing an opponent.

It seems a bit strange since: a) most people are conditioned from birth to not touch their faces in public. Face touching is creepy under the best of circumstances. b) The universality of “the gesture” is such that you rarely see it without intent. c) We know his whole adult life has been built around plausable deniability. He would, of course, laugh this off, if anyone dared to bring it to his attention.

To venture a guess, it’s subconscously intentional. The man is seriously seriously passive aggressive.

  2. Liberals Demise says:

What do you know…….this LOSER of a human being thinks he is still #1 after all !! He ain’t just flipping off McCain, he is flipping off all the rest of America that he hasn’t turned into piss ant zombies.

  3. notsoyoungjim says:

Drudge has the pic up now.

This is completely intentional mau mauing from a Chicago machine pol.

Looks like he picked the wrong week to stop smoking cigarettes.

proreason; ……”The man is seriously seriously passive aggressive…..”

This clip makes me smile. Were he (Obama) to do this to me, he would wish to Allah he was more than PASSIVE agressive, for he’d learn the error of his ways too late. Although he’s 15 years my junior, this “devil dog” would be on him like white on rye!! It wouldn’t be pretty, either, but it WOULD be fun.

  5. 64dodger says:

I guess this is the kind of change Obama is talking about.

Obama will take your money and give you back CHANGE!!!

  6. wardmama4 says:

How arrogant and juvenile of this (so-called) man who wants to be POTUS.

How I would wish that every single tv station would run this at least once between now and tomorrow (doubt any other than FNC) will – because then the only people who would vote for him is those college kool-aid drinkers who are sober enough to stumble to the polls and of course those blacks who are only voting for him because he is (bi-racial) black (provided they get a ride to the polls).

Which would give McCain/Palin a win.

  7. proreason says:

“for he’d learn the error of his ways too late”

For someone who declares he wants to bring us together, Obambi seems to generate more than the usual antipathy towards different political philosophies. Clinton was warmly loved by the right compared to man who might end up leading the country, yet has never held a job, directed an employee, or made a business, military, or social decision of any consequence.

I guess that’s what happens when you seek to undo 400 years of history, and reverse the value of work and sloth.

  8. Consilience says:

The thug messiah is holding true to form. Nothing this man and his besotted minions do will surprise me, nor the lengths they will go to sell his BS change and hope.

  9. RightWinger says:

Just another reminder that he is nothing more than a 10 year old kid trapped in a 40-something man’s body.

The only time I ever see that gesture anymore is during moments of road rage or some pre-teens mouthing off at each other from 50 yards, where giving the finger is done at a safe range from a punch in the face.

  10. Crystald says:

Total lack of emotional maturity displayed, yet again!

In the arrogance of his ambition, this candidate has never stood for anything else but his ambition.

Hillary Clinton called him out on his lack of record, lack of experience, lack of integrity, etc. This candidate did not win the position as nominee, it was stolen from Hillary Clinton and given to this media created candidate.

I will keep my wealth, my freedom and my gun, you can keep the change.

  11. curvyred says:

For a “highly-educated” intellectual he sure acts like a juvenile delinquent, what is his problem?

I was (not really) willing to give him the benefit of the doubt when he did “the gesture” to Hilary.

It would be interesting to see if this is a gesture he used against other opponents at the state level.

  12. Helena says:

Listen to his response about the coal question in the “Did SF Paper Hide Obama’s Coal Quote?” article SG posted earlier.

“So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can. It’s just that it will bankrupt them, because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.”

His tone is ALWAYS arrogant at best, but perhaps more accurately – plain old snotty.

  13. proreason says:

“His tone is ALWAYS arrogant at best, but perhaps more accurately – plain old snotty.”

I would not say snotty, I would say totalitarian. It’s not just that he thinks he’s smarter, he acts on the arrogance. Joe the Plumber, Stanley Kurtz, Sarah Palin, 5th cousins of Sarah Palin, the 3 newspapers no longer on the plane, the Missouri Truth Squad, Grandma, the local TV anchor who asked the obvious…..and on and on.

Talk Radio, SG, Fox News, look out. Change is coming.

  14. Colonel1961 says:

After carefully reading all the polls, seeing the excitement in the street, I’d just like to say this:

Obama sure is a nice guy. I’m excited to be voting for him tomorrow.

  15. 1sttofight says:

You do sound like a PARTY GIRL.

  16. proreason says:

thanks for sharing the stately dignity of the left with us.

By the way, when you press the button twice, it sends twice. Just a tip for the future.

If Obama gets elected, enjoy your redistribution of the 60% remaining wealth after the “fair housing” meltdown, less whatever the rest of the country is able to move offshore.

And as you flip your burgers, contemplate your future when the guy who owns the joint decides that he doesn’t want to fund you any longer.

“I don’t understand how OPENLY RACIST all of you are!!! That is the only reason you all do not like him. get over it.”

Imagine that. Not agreeing with the political position of a black man makes one a racist. If I only had a nickel for every time a lefty used that as a debating point, I could retire a millionaire.

Of course chanelgirltk has nothing to debate with, so she goes right to the personal attacks. Extremely pathetic, even by troll standards.

Incidently chanelgirltk, do you agree with the decisions that Clarence Thomas has made on the Supreme Court or the political positions of Condaleeza Rice? Or Michael Steele? Or J.C. Watts? Or Lynn Swann? No? Oh. You don’t agree with them because they are conservatives? Well since then by your definition that anybody who disagrees with a black person politically is a racist, then you are a racist hands down my dear.

I know when you actually sit down to think about that, you will look in your hand held mirror and realize the truth. The truth will hurt you, but in time you’ll grow up and think about what life is really all about instead of the collection of talking points and bumper stickers you have grown up on.

Perhaps it’s just cynical little me, but I wouldn’t want to give odds on that happening any time real soon.

  23. DEZ says:

Oh, what have we here, Awww, ain’t it cute?
Its a troll, trying to be charming and was even so kind as to put a gallon or two of cheap perfume to mask the stench, how considerate!
Even kind enough to point out that we are racists because we have no use for socialists like her over lord.
Now run along now, head back to the troll barn, they are getting ready for the party and need to wring a few gallons of oil out of your hair to make the french fries.

  24. RightWinger says:

Diane, I’m afraid you’re right. She’s young, but it looks like it will take many years of the Democrats disappointing her in order for her to realize what is going on. The excuse of George Bush screwed everything up can only last a couple of decades.

  25. VMAN says:

Hey chanelgirltk! I got one for you! This is what I think of your overlord. He just had his grandma killed to get a few extra sympathy votes. This guy is a PIG!!! You might want to do a little reading to see what Hitler did to the brown shirts. Not a pretty picture.

  26. sheehanjihad says:

a tad more to the point….what a douchebag! I am so glad ignorance isnt painful, or trolletta wouldnt make it to the ER. But! A wonderful example of the voter base of the annointed one. Oh, yeah, now I’m racist. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

    Obama Grandmother dead!

On the October 23rd thread of Obama: “If you don’t care for family…” (in reference to his ailing Grandmother) I said…

The devil can’t be any slicker than this man!
The timing and circumstances of so many happenings (even sad one’s) seem to work out perfect for Obama

well I just heard on Fox that his Granfmother died this morning.

    God rest her soul. (sincerely)

yet, I can’t help but wonder how this will effect the the Libs turnout… and ultimatley the election

  28. DEZ says:

Nah SJ, more like a colostomy bag, eeeeeeeewwww.

Web/TV are now flooded with the news!

    Wow! What timing… ??????

  30. VMAN says:

Dr King had a dream of a day when a man would be judged by the content of his character and not by the color of his skin. The thing is obama has no character and the people voting for him are either doing so because of his extreme socialist policies or the color of his skin. I’m sure people like chanelgirltk would think that Dr King was a right wing hack because I’m sure he wouldn’t think much of bammy.

  31. proreason says:

    where did chanelgirltk go.

I was looking forward to having a serious discussion of the issues with her since she got the racism slur out of the way as her first sentence.

  32. JohnMG says:

“He ain’t just flipping off McCain, he is flipping off all the rest of America that he hasn’t turned into piss ant zombies.”

Yeppers Liberals Demise, that’s the message I get from that gesture. Wow, what body language.

Colonel1961, we don’t have to go to the indoctrination classes until after the Election. ;-)

But, I choose to be the perpetual cockeyed optimist and my gut feeling is that ………. McCain/Palin are gonna win! I don’t think the polls/MSM reflect the large amount of Hillary supporters that are still very angry and the large amount Conservative Americans that are not fooled by the Messiah. I also think that the get out the vote effort Conservative/Hillary supporters/Independents have put out over the past couple of weeks has been underestimated.

    I’m just saying………………..I still haven’t heard the fat lady singing……….Babra Streisand doesn’t count. :-)

  35. pinandpuller says:

I’m looking foreward to a McCain/Palin upset. On the other hand I’m a little worried because I have to fly down to Denver Wed. and bring a truck back. All I can say is if Code Pink, the Black Panthers or Blue Dog Democrats get in my way they are getting run over. I’m Tom the truck-driver not Reginald Denny the Avacado.

  36. JohnMG says:

Where ya’ been, Tex? Out on the campaign trail?

Glad you’re here to help cheer us up. I, too, think an upset is in the works. Our side has been suspiciously quiet of late. Kinda like the calm before the storm, me thinks.

  37. DEZ says:

The perky one had a nice long news show tonight, and quoted a poll giving Obama a double digit lead.
I have no clue why we have elections, our media knows what we are gonna do, right?
Missed which poll was quoted but I was like, huh, she must have asked her boss about the lead points.
They raise the dead, after all!

  38. Liberals Demise says:

    Jim, heads up,

from American Spectator, Obama campaign source said, “senior Obama aids knew his Auntie was here illegally.”

    Aunt Zeituni’s Protectors

“Senior aides to Sen. Barack Obama and Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick were aware that Obama’s aunt, Zeituni Onyango, was living in the United States illegally and in a South Boston public-housing project, and were monitoring her at the request of senior Obama campaign officials, according to a current employee for Obama’s key political consulting firm, AKP&D Message and Media.”

“Back in early 2007, as Obama’s chief campaign strategist David Axelrod was organizing and planning the Obama campaign, he identified Obama’s unique family situation — a number of half-brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, some living overseas — as a potential problem, says an employee for Axelrod’s political consulting firm, and who has done work on the Obama campaign. “Given [Obama’s] father’s family history here and in Africa, David wanted the campaign to know who was who, where they lived, and what they were doing.”

“No surprises. We knew she was here illegally. We knew her income levels, but I don’t think anyone from the campaign had had contact with her.”

Rest of the story tells how Axelrod arranged the deal to watch over Auntie…

Ohio Coal Association Says Obama Remarks Make It Clear: Obama …

“It’s evident that this campaign has been pandering in states like Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, Indiana and Pennsylvania to attempt to generate votes from coal supporters, while keeping his true agenda hidden from the state’s voters.
“Senator Obama has revealed himself to be nothing more than a short- sighted, inexperienced politician willing to say anything to get a vote. But today, the nation’s coal industry and those who support it have a better understanding of his true mission, to ‘bankrupt’ our industry, put tens of thousands out of work and cause unprecedented increases in electricity prices.
“In addition to providing an affordable, reliable source of low-cost electricity, domestic coal holds the key to our nation’s long-term energy security – a goal that cannot be overlooked during this time of international instability and economic uncertainty…

Obama: I’ll Bankrupt Coal Industry; Your Energy Prices Will Skyrocket
    Ohio Coal Association Responds

RUSH: Here is Obama, this is in January of this year in an editorial board meeting with the San Francisco Chronicle.

OBAMA: What I’ve said is that we would put a cap-and-trade system in place that is more — that is as aggressive if not more aggressive than anybody else’s out there, so if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can, it’s just that it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.

RUSH: He’s gonna bankrupt ’em, he’s got a cap-and-trade program, Algore, this is to save the planet. He’s going to bankrupt ’em, by definition, they will bankrupt. But that’s not, by itself, the single most damaging aspect of what he said. This is.

OBAMA: When I was asked earlier about the issue of coal, uh, you know, under my plan of a cap-and-trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.

RUSH: So folks, he wants to bankrupt the coal industry. Now, I’ve never seen a presidential candidate actually admit that he wants to destroy elements of the US economy. He did, he said it, and now he wants skyrocketing gas prices. You remember when gasoline spiked up to four bucks? The only thing Obama said about it, “The only thing that bothers me is how quickly we got it up there.” But he didn’t do one damn thing to lower gasoline prices. He didn’t care that they were that high. His only stated concern was that they got up there so quickly. Here he is, same interview with the San Francisco Chronicle editorial board, January 2008.

OBAMA: Regardless of what I say about whether coal is good or bad, because I’m capping greenhouse gases, coal-powered plants, you know, natural gas, whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money, they will pass that money on to consumers. If you can’t persuade the American people that, yes, there’s going to be some increase in electricity rates on the front end, but that over the long term because of combinations of more efficient energy usage and changing lightbulbs and more efficient appliances, but also technology improving how we can produce clean energy, that the economy will benefit. If we can’t make that argument persuasively enough, you — you can — you can be Lyndon Johnson, you can be the master of Washington, you’re not gonna get that done.

BIDEN: We’re not supporting clean coal! Guess what? China’s building two every week, two dirty coal plants. And it’s polluting the United States! It’s causing people to die! The first guy to introduce a global warming bill was me, 22 years ago. The first guy to support solar energy is me, 26 years ago. Came out of Delaware. But guess what? China’s going to burn 300 years of bad coal, once we figure out how to clean their coal up because it’s going to ruin your lungs and there’s nothing we can do about it. No coal plants here in America, build ’em, if they’re going to build them over there, make ’em clean, because they’re killing you!

RUSH: All right, so we’re going to leave the coal industry to the ChiComs, and we’re going to make noises. Like the ChiComs are going to listen to us! “Hey! Hey, Hu Jintao! Clean up your coal,” Biden will say. “Hey, buddy, old pal, clean up your coal.
Stand up, Hu! Let everybody see you?”
Oh, oh, you don’t tell a communist stand up.

Already did, Colonel. Normally I’m somewhere in the first twenty or so voters at my polling place. This morning, at 5:55 A.M. people were lined up at the front door, down the sidewalk, and around the block. I was probably voter #150 standing in line with that many more behind me. The voting did go smoothly, though, and I was out the door in less than 15 minutes. The volunteers at our polling place were very effecient. Hopefully this is the norm and not the exception.

  48. sheehanjihad says:
