Dem Candidate Wants To Impeach Obama

We almost missed this nugget from the erstwhile news magazine, Time:

Texas Dems Grapple With Their Own Alvin Greene

South Carolina’s unexpected Democratic nominee for the US Senate, mystery man Alvin Greene, says he wants to play golf with Barack Obama. But in Texas, another surprise Democratic primary winner, congressional nominee Kesha Rogers, wants to impeach the President. So while South Carolina party officials are still unsure of what to do about Greene’s success at the ballot box, Texas Democrats have no such reservations — they wasted little time in casting Rogers into exile and offering no support or recognition of her campaign to win what once was Republican Majority Leader Tom DeLay’s old seat.

Rogers, 33, told TIME she is a "full time political activist" in the Lyndon LaRouche Youth Movement, a recruiting arm of the LaRouche political organization that is active on many college campuses. The LYM espouses LaRouche opposition to free trade and "globalism" (the UN, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund) and it also calls for a return to a humanist classical education, emphasizing the works of Plato and Leibnitz. On her professional looking campaign website, kesharogers.com, she touts the LaRouche political philosophy — a mix of support for the economic policies of President Franklin D. Roosevelt and the impeachment of President Obama — and calls Obama a "London and Wall Street backed puppet" whose policies will destroy the Democratic Party.

During the campaign, she was photographed carrying an oversized portrait of the President with a Hitler-style moustache penciled on his lip.

As we have often noted before, it was the Lyndon Larouche folks (who are Democrats) who have been displaying signs with Mr. Obama sporting a Hitler moustache at various rallies. A detail our watchdog media have studiously avoided.

Texas’ 22nd district is a relatively conservative, primarily suburban area west and south of Houston that includes — thanks to DeLay’s redistricting efforts — the NASA Johnson Space Center and surrounding aerospace industries, where residents have expressed concerns about cuts in manned space programs. Another major LaRouche-inspired plank in Rogers’ platform is support for the colonization of Mars. "Help send me to Congress, and we can send our grandchildren to Mars!" was a Rogers’ slogan during the campaign.

Unlike South Carolina’s Greene, Rogers ran a high profile campaign, staking out a corner on a major intersection in the district to appear almost daily with a large sign: "Save NASA. Impeach Obama." She garnered 7,467 votes, 53% of the vote, in a three way race

Meanwhile, the state party has adopted a resolution denying any party support for Rogers, citing the alleged racist and discriminatory views of the LaRouche movement — allegations that Rogers, who is African-American, firmly rejects.

See how easy it is for the Democrat Party to excommunicate a member? All they have to do is declare them a racist – even if they are black. And no one will bat an eye.

District 22 has also been stricken from the party’s official online list of congressional races. "No, I can’t explain the result in CD 22," Houston progressive blogger Charles Kuffner wrote on his blog, Off the Kuff. "Stuff just happens sometimes, especially in races where not much attention is being paid."

One theory, according to a Democratic Party insider, is Rogers benefitted from her name being in the top position on the Fort Bend County ballot, where African-American Democratic interest was high in two local races. But Rogers rejects that notion. "I went to senior citizens centers. I was knocking on doors everywhere — everyone knew my positions, " she told TIME. "I don’t think the Democratic Party leadership is getting it. The people continue to see more and more economic devastation and they don’t see any real leadership." And for now, the party leadership will pretend that it can’t see Rogers.

Why has this story gotten so little attention from our national news media, apart from Time? (Which is only read by people waiting to have their teeth cleaned, if even then.)

Meanwhile, as the article itself notes, Mr. Alvin Greene is enjoying tremendous coverage. So why the double standard?

Perhaps the answer is found in the story’s lead paragraph. For, despite all of his problems, Mr. Greene is a loyal Democrat who is in lockstep with Mr. Obama and the Democrat Party.

Whereas Ms. Rogers is not. So she is summarily exiled and given the cone of silence by the Democrat Party and of course their lickspittle media minions.

I thought only white people were capable of racism? What’s up with that?

I read it while waiting on a root canal recently, on the theory that nothing could be worse than reading it.

It worked wonderfully. Either the dentist was very good or the relief of getting away from the propaganda made the root canal virtually painless.

If I have to have a root canal under Obamycare, which would be one without pain killers, since i’m a white male over 35 who doesn’t really deserve to live anyway since I would have been a slave master had I had the chance, I’m going to borrow the Queen of England’s Ipod so I can listen to the Moron’s collected speeches before the surgery.

With the Michael Steele debacle and Ron Paul joining Bahney Fwankths to call for a reduction in military spending, we’re once again shaking our heads in dismay as Republicans continue to put road blocks in our momentum. However, fun facts like this story speak to the real endemic problem Democrats are facing right now, which is that beneath the surface of this worse-than-ClimateGate media blackout Obama has sparked a civil war in his base, which was already the last of his support foundation.

Over on the sewage side of the blogosphere, the environmentalists, unions, and anti-war kooks are all ready to ask for their checks; that is to declare Obama’s regime a failure for his “compromises” and find their new messiah. When they aren’t blaming eachother for the past year’s results, it falls on the laughable charge of Barack’s inarticulateness (they still can’t accept the notion that their ideas were openly understood and rejected). But a chorus of Obamanaught devotees still defends the “incrementalist” approach to statism and decries any public criticsm of the President as vindication for the right.

So basically it’s a Communist vs Socialist vs Statist free for all meltdown, which if you can stomach it is much more entertaining to observe than any Steele talk. (We’ve suggested here at S&L that Palin should’ve had the RNC chair pos ever since he was first named; she’s basically doing the job now anyway).

Thank you for your selfless service by reading the cesspool blogs, tn. You deserve a medal. Do you have a dictionary that helps you decipher the junior-high spelling and subculture profanity?

The few times I ventured into the land of babblers my right index finger began to twitch uncontrollably, and I had to quickly return to earth.
