It’s nice to see that there are still some members of the younger generation that refuse to wear their Democrat issued blinders. My 19 y.o. daughter shares a lot of the same feelings that you do regarding the generation you are a part of. They say that “With age, comes wisdom”, but you and my daughter are proof that age isn’t a requirement for wisdom. Welcome to the site also.

Anyway, as a twenty-five year old I am a product of my generation in many ways. However, one big way that I am NOT is this mentality that we should all be taken care of. It is mindboggling how many people my age feel that they deserve their needs and wants just handed to them. “This is B.S! The cost of living is too high. It’s all everyone elses fault and there is nothing I can do about it. Poor me.” Meanwhile, they are in their early to mid twenties with a nice two-bedroom apartment, big screen, HD television with 100 channels, a car in perfect condition, Dvds, video games, and music up the wazoo, etc.

These socialists are playing off this entitlement mentality as they always have. The problem is that we have a whole generation of young adults who think this is the best path. They think that if the government takes care of the necessities (health care, gas prices, minimum wage) it’s one less thing to worry about and can continue their carefree lives. God forbid someone actually tell them that the have to work hard to EARN ::gasp:: healthcare and fuel.
