Some Republicans offered to support the unemployment bill if it was paid for with unspent money from last year’s massive economic recovery package. Democrats rejected the offer, saying the money was needed for jobs programs.

“What frickin’ jobs are they talking about?”
The ones they were focused like a laser on last summer?

You and the country have my deepest sympathies Drewman. There isn’t much to say except to note that this country has been through many hardships and come out of all of them proud and standing. Pray that this time is no different.

And tell everybody that you know that the root cause of the current problems is the criminal abandonment of the founding principles, which Reaper Reid in the forefront, a criminal if there ever was one.

And vote in November with a vengence.

And once the Mafiaticians are in jail, never let them come out of their cessppols again.

I just interviewed for a job today, I live in northern Nevada and this was the first position open in my trade (I service and install Fire Alarm Systems) that I have seen in the 12 plus months I have been out of work. If anyone is wondering I have also applied for every single job I might be remotely qualified for that has come up in my area. I would happily drive a forklift, sort orders in a wharehouse or do any kind of honest work that would take me off the unemployment rolls. I am almost 50 years old and this is the first time in my life I have found myself out of work for more than a few days. Now I find out that in addition to systematically strangling any hope of economic recovery (Cut taxes AND spending!! you morons! this is not rocket science!) the Dems are going to hold unemployment benefits hostage to yet more insane spending and blame the Republicans as usual. I am beginning to doubt if we will survive this as a country. I am finding myself rooting for the Mayan Apacolypse. I may be wandering around struggling to survive in a devastated landscape but at least I won’t have Obalmy, Pelosi and Reid nattering away at me.

I can’t believe how shameful our overall government has become, what would the Founding Fathers say now?

In your mind, name 1 thing where our money goes that is useful? No, every dollar is a manipulation of a vote, used to pay for an abusive government system, wasted in some sort of fraud scheme and / or given to defective, dumb, lazy, worthless people.

It has been time for about 40 years to just start over again, we are better off.

The Democratic Party, now better known as Crime Incorporated should use the un-used portions of the TARP/stimulus monies that their dear comrade leader has stashed away for briberies and extortion for votes on future bills if unemployment is so dear to their hearts. Wow, this economy sure is humming along since The Messiah has injected all this stimulus money into the system. Pathetic!

If they really cared, they wouldn’t go on vacation and they would strip the pork out of their bill (and use the cash they have allocated but don;t really have).

Yes, “jobs programs”. Um, pardon me, but your slip is showing.

Some day, we’ll get to find out where all this money actually went/is going. Cleverly labeled and hidden in various places, this will no doubt will come to be known as “The democrats’ giant boondoggle” where they robbed the people of billions (a trillion) and used to try to buy the 2012 election.

Hopefully, if a conservative America still exists, schoolkids will learn of “The Great Theft of 2010″ when the democrats took all the money and tried to use it to steal the next election. And the ensuing laws that resulted from such action.

I would love to hang the boy from his testicles but, alas, he has none. Just brazen rhetoric and a whole lotta sham-wow.
