Dems To Bus In Crowds For Obama’s Speech

From the Associated Press:

Dems cobble convention crowd together bit by bit

By JULIE PACE | Monday Sept 3, 2012

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — College students from across North Carolina will arrive in Charlotte by the busload. Same with members of predominantly black churches in neighboring South Carolina.

Their goal: help fill a 74,000-seat outdoor stadium to capacity when President Barack Obama accepts the Democratic nomination Thursday night.

Once again, these are the target audience for Obama. College students who don’t know any better. And people who will forgive him anything because of the color of his skin.

It must be pretty expensive to try to ‘astroturf’ an entire stadium. Especially, when you can’t get away with giving out beer and cigarettes anymore. Fortunately, Mr. Obama has his stash.

By the way, the Fox News headline for this same AP story is: "Dems bring in crowds by the busload to fill stadium for Obama speech."

Anything short of a full house on the final night of the Democratic Party’s national convention will be instant fodder for Republicans eager to use empty seats as symbols of waning voter enthusiasm for Obama.

After Clint Eastwood’s speech, the Democrats are even more afraid of empty seats. And, of course, they are afraid some people will say, ‘You Didn’t Fill That!’

Democrats have been fretting for months over whether the president can draw a capacity crowd at Bank of America Stadium.

You would think the AP would know by now that we aren’t supposed to mention the name of the Bank Of America stadium. Since the Bank Of America (which single-handedly funded the construction of the Golden Gate bridge, for instance) is evil.

Polls show voter enthusiasm is down, as are Obama’s crowds for his battleground state campaign rallies.

Convention delegates, volunteers and other Democratic officials already in Charlotte for the party gathering could make up as much as one-third of the crowd. But filling the rest of the stadium is a piecemeal process.

About 200 students from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill are taking buses to the stadium Thursday night. Another 100 are expected on buses from Duke University.

Lonnie Randolph, the president of the South Carolina chapter of the NAACP, said several large black churches in his state are planning to send busloads of members on Thursday to watch the president’s speech

And never mind that churches, which are tax exempt, are prohibited from politicking.

Tens of thousands of other tickets have been handed out to the public on a first-come, first-served basis, the campaign said, though officials would not provide an exact number…

The campaign says the size of Obama’s events this summer have purposely been kept low. Large rallies are more expensive and security requirements are more intense for a sitting president than a candidate…

The AP are repeating this laughable lie put out by the Obama campaign. Which, of course, is their job.

But speaking of bad omens, we had this earlier from the Washington Times:

Heavy rains wash away ‘Mount Obama’ in Charlotte

By Stephen Dinan | Saturday Sept 1, 2012

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A torrential downpour that struck Charlotte on Saturday afternoon damaged the Mount Rushmore-style sand sculpture bust of President Obama — an ominous beginning to what many fear is a plagued convention.

Who knew that rain could be racist? (Though, of course, we saw it could be with Hurricane Katrina.)

Workers were trying Saturday afternoon to reform the base of the sculpture, built from sand brought in from Myrtle Beach, S.C., pounding and smoothing out the sand that had washed off the facade of the waist-up rendering of the chief executive.

The sand sculpture was protected from above, and Mr. Obama’s face didn’t see too much damage. But the storm was so strong that its heavy winds blew the rain sideways, pelting the president’s right side and leaving the sand pockmarked and completely erasing his right elbow…

How appropriate, since there is not much ‘right’ about Obama, anyway.

Besides, his entire Presidency seems to have been built on sand anyway.

    Yes, this.

The socialists took the opportunity of the first part of this new century to capitalize on how wishy-washy Americans have become as regards national security and their faux desire to appear “just” and “fair”.

On September 11, 2001, we got a taste of just how much the rest of the world hates the US. But there are so many Americans who live in the fantasy world of “no-score soccer dates” with their kiddies that they actually believe we brought that on ourselves. After all, it’s how they see the world after so many decades of television and school and advertising and magazines all selling the garbage that in order to eliminate hatred, you have to be weak and quiet.

Then, the wars that followed allowed the socialists their golden opportunity. But, much of that backfired because their own generation that so badly abused returning soldiers in the Vietnam era left them with a bit of a conundrum. How do I show how much I hate war if the warrior is my own kid? Oh damn. So they had to alter that message, which naturally had the effect of throwing their whole issue into question.

At the end of the day, most Americans know what is right and what is wrong. And they know that Obama is wrong for this nation. He might work out well for Nairobi or Kenya or even Libya but he’s not of American stock, even if he was born in the US. When a parent takes their kid to day-care and notices that all the children are miserable, do they blame the children or the caretakers? I ask the question because the caretakers of this nation have done a lousy job and to Quote Mr Eastwood, “The have to go”.

Sadly, there are many Americans who have been born here, grew up here, taken advantage of all America has to offer yet still do not know what it is to be an American. They most likely never will. Living in an ethereal cloud of trying to achieve utopia by manipulating people is their only way of getting there, without looking at their own excesses and human frailties. Of course, our teleprompter-in-chief has frailties in great abundance, all of which have been outlined here over the past several years.

There is no one of perfect character. There are no flawless human beings. But to lead this country, I would choose a flawed man who has worked and produced over one who has not any day of the week. I doubt I would like Romney personally. He’s a “book-learnin’ ” kind of guy. But he probably knows how to pick better people to manage and control things than the cretin currently in the white house. He also seems to know what the real issues of the nation are vs. the guy who likes to pick fights over whose sneakers are cooler.

Obama is a petulant, childish, self-absorbed prick.

Romney is an adult male of the American variety. Granted, there are things about him I don’t like but I dislike him less than I do the current pResident. Sadly, this is what will have to pass as “progress” for the next four years but also sadly, the fight is only just started. Whoever is left in congress and the senate on the socialist’s side will pull every dirty trick in the book to ruin anything the republicans try to do. And given the republicans’ desire to be liked by the media, they will often comply just so the media doesn’t destroy them on the screen. But, just like my high-school epiphany, they’re going to have to realize that they need to serve the people, not appease the socialists or try to get the media to like them. They’re going to have to grow spines. They’re going to have to tell news pukes to shut the hell up and tell them they’re full of crap. And that they are telling the American public a lie. It’s easy to do once you know how.

Well, at least Democrats aren’t avoiding their stance on busing. Even if they have to go out of state to fill the place, at least the tried and true benefits of busing will be on display for all to see. Isn’t it funny though, wasn’t it Charlotte that had a big dust up about busing back in the 90s.

If they really want to keep the crowds small, for security purposes of course, why are the dragging people from other states in to fill the BOA Stadium? A 2/3 empty stadium would be that much easier and cheaper to secure wouldn’t it? And when they do bus those people in, will there be someone on the DNC staff in place to make sure that their are equal numbers of whites, blacks, hispanics, asians, native Americans, and every other racially diverse subset that humanity can be broken down into, so that there isn’t any confusion about the fact that everybody loves Obama? (Except for white collar working stiffs, married women, the unemployed, and you know, the tax paying public that the dems have already written off)

This is hilarious. The DNC has already had to shorten their convention and change things around because there just isn’t enough money in Obie’s coffers to get the whole greek column song and dance together. They watched the RNC’s convention and now they’re out looking for people that Obama has helped so they can testify. Unfortunately Obama can’t tell tear-jerking stories about himself without coming off looking like he’s blowing his own horn (I have a feeling… that’s not going to stop him though). Obama’s management of his own campaign mirrors, on a small scale, his management of America. He spends more than he has, and when the rubber meets the road, he falls short, he has to shrink expectations, inflate the rhetoric, and blame, blame, blame. He can’t change who he is, and here he is on display. A tin-plated overbearing, swaggering dictator with delusions of godhood. [wink]

Larger Number of Liberal Occupy Protestors shut down DNC Delegate Bus Route.

Yahoo News / The Ticket: Occupy protesters block DNC buses

    By Liz Goodwin – Sept 4 2012

CHARLOTTE–On Tuesday, a group of more than 100 protesters shouting “Obama is a traitor” temporarily shut down official bus service that ferries around delegates at the Democratic National Convention. The protesters, some of whom were lying down in the street, were surrounded by Charlotte police, who used their bicycles to build a barrier around the group.

“Bad news, guys, they’ve pitched a tent,” a police officer joked. “They might be here for the duration.”

Delegates and convention-goers who were forced to wait for buses to be rerouted expressed surprise that the Occupy presence has been stronger at the DNC than the Republican convention in Tampa last week. “I didn’t see them at the Republican convention,” said Wandra Ashley-Williams, vice president of the Maryland State Conference NAACP. “That’s not good.”

Can you believe the NAACP is playing the racist card when they themselves protested the RNC
