Report: Mumbai Hostages Were Tortured

From India’s Rediff:

Doctors shocked at hostages’s torture

Krishnakumar P and Vicky Nanjappa in Mumbai | November 30, 2008

They said that just one look at the bodies of the dead hostages as well as terrorists showed it was a battle of attrition that was fought over three days at the Oberoi and the Taj hotels in Mumbai.

Doctors working in a hospital where all the bodies, including that of the terrorists, were taken said they had not seen anything like this in their lives.

“Bombay has a long history of terror. I have seen bodies of riot victims, gang war and previous terror attacks like bomb blasts. But this was entirely different. It was shocking and disturbing,” a doctor said.

Asked what was different about the victims of the incident, another doctor said: “It was very strange. I have seen so many dead bodies in my life, and was yet traumatised. A bomb blast victim’s body might have been torn apart and could be a very disturbing sight. But the bodies of the victims in this attack bore such signs about the kind of violence of urban warfare that I am still unable to put my thoughts to words,” he said.

Asked specifically if he was talking of torture marks, he said: “It was apparent that most of the dead were tortured. What shocked me were the telltale signs showing clearly how the hostages were executed in cold blood,” one doctor said.

The other doctor, who had also conducted the post-mortem of the victims, said: “Of all the bodies, the Israeli victims bore the maximum torture marks. It was clear that they were killed on the 26th itself. It was obvious that they were tied up and tortured before they were killed. It was so bad that I do not want to go over the details even in my head again,” he said.

Corroborating the doctors’ claims about torture was the information that the Intelligence Bureau had about the terror plan. “During his interrogation, Ajmal Kamal said they were specifically asked to target the foreigners, especially the Israelis,” an IB source said…

Given that this is based on anonymous doctors via an Indian media outlet, who knows how reliable the information is.

But it certainly wouldn’t be any surprise.

I wonder if Obama will speak eulogies for the 9 killed Muslim “visitors”? Or at least try to understand their “cry for help”.

  2. proreason says:

When will this be blamed on Bush? Seems like the press is a bit slow on the trigger. Must be the hopey changey hang-over dulling the usually razor sharp news guessing.

At least we know that come Jan 21….all of this mayhem will cease.

It looks like the terrorists were all Pakistanis. From the UK Telegraph:

“When will this be blamed on Bush?”

The moonbats started blaming Bush straight up, believe it or not, they even blamed Bush for the Wal-Mart employee being trampled to death.
Liberals are the most paranoid finger pointing idiots to ever climb from the primordial ooze.

This is a seminal event, conveniently planned to occur after our elections. God help us.

No other civilization in the world would allow a sect of people to indiscriminately murder the way ours has allowed.

Our tolerance is our downfall and garners the lowest respect from our enemies. They see our capitulations as less than animal, worthy of nothing but brutal death.

Our gun-controls, our political correctness, our ignorance, and our pathetic Utopian ideals, are all simply verification of their warped world views and radical agendas.

We’ve indoctrinated our youth to hate morals and to support those that would kill them and us. Our preoccupation with media garbage and it’s clowns marketed as “stars” distracts us from the very real and present danger that approaches.

The government that has just been placed through illegal voting, illegal contributions, and potentially illegal eligibility, is blindly accepted as hope and change. Illiterate voters sold a slogan without a clue as to what lies at stake.

There is no question that this awful massacre was not coincidental to the following of our election. It was necessary to delay, lest our enemies be subjected to another administration that would resist them in no uncertain terms.

I am very fearful for our future with an administration that seems to, at the very least, think it’s wise to be even more understanding and more tolerant of those that would commit the carnage that has been witnessed these last few days.

I know it’s too easy for non-believers to equate the evil that we see as being a symptom of all religions. Get rid of all religions and get rid of our problems. Too often people accept that premise. However, that is why we have the problems we now have.

The one true God through Jesus Christ is the only way. Read and study the Bible. Prove it through the fulfilled prophecies and know the truth of God’s eternal love. Repent and be saved. Our struggles aren’t a surprise and the future is certain. Don’t delay.

I hope that if we are similarly attacked in the next few months a herd of miscreants sees fit to trample the attackers to death.

As for me and mine-we went out today and shot through a couple of 30 round magazines.

  7. BillK says:

But I thought torture didn’t work?

If only somebody, say a President Elect, had offered to go talk to these people, these deaths need never have occurred.

I’m certainly glad to know that the annointed one will protect us from this sort of thing in the future by being open to such chats…

  8. Liberals Demise says:

It is only torture if we( USA) use it as a form to extract information that would save the lives of our warriors in the heat of battle. For them, it is a way to grab headlines to the plight of their cause. So what if they all die……its for the cause.

  9. BatK says:

how long before they’re attacking Jewish centers here? I mean, again.

  10. DEZ says:

“how long before they’re attacking Jewish centers here? I mean, again.”

I suspect around the end of January!

  11. imnewatthis says:

Someone asked when Bush would be blamed. Well, you didn’t have to wait long. Deepak Chopra has already blamed Bush and the US.
