Drunken Reporters Applaud Obama’s Cheap Shot

From the New York Observer:

Reporters Preparing to Cover Debate By Drinking Free Beer

By Hunter Walker | 10/16/2012

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — Some of the reporters covering tonight’s presidential debate at Hofstra University in Long Island may be F.W.I.–filing while intoxicated. Anheuser-Busch is apparently a sponsor of tonight’s rhetorical battle and the beer company has set up a “hospitality tent” outside the media filing center where reporters are being treated to free food, brews and souvenir glasses…

Bartenders inside the tent confirmed they were indeed quite “busy” this evening.

Anheuser-Busch, which has apparently been the “official beer” of the the presidential debates since 1996, set up similar tents at the vice presidential debate last week and the first presidential debate earlier this month…

Isn’t it funny how our watchdog media never complained about the obvious conflict of interest when John McCain ran with a wife who is the chair of one of the largest Anheuser-Busch distributors? Apparently, they have their priorities.

Still, their consumption of beer could explain a lot.

Such as this slipping of the mask reported by the Washington Times:

Reporters applaud Obama’s slam on Romney’s wealth

By Stephen Dinan | October 17, 2012

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — The room set aside for reporters to watch Tuesday night’s debate erupted into applause after President Obama ridiculed the size of Mitt Romney’s personal wealth.

Mr. Romney was trying to make the point that both his and Mr. Obama’s investment funds probably include investments in China — something the president has attacked Mr. Romney for.

"Mr. President, have you looked at your pension?" Mr. Romney said.

"You know, I don’t look at my pension. It’s not as big as yours, so it — it doesn’t take as long," Mr. Obama retorted. His reply prompted laughter in the debate hall where the two men were squaring off — but across the way in the separate room where the press was stationed, a brief round of applause broke out.

So instead of being interested in Mr. Romney’s very salient point, these ‘journalists’ applauded Obama’s incredibly cheap shot.

By the way, most of these reporters are quite rich when compared to the salary of the average American worker. And for that matter, Mr. Obama’s salary is ten times that of the average American worker. Isn’t he also out of touch?

Still, to be fair, the reporters might have just been following the lead of our classy First Lady.

Michelle Obama Broke Agreed Upon Rules, Clapped At Debate

October 17, 2012

At the second presidential debate on Tuesday night, a camera caught first lady Michelle Obama clapping after moderator Candy Crowley told Republican presidential candidate Gov. Mitt Romney that President Obama called the Benghazi attack an "act of terror" soon after the attack on the U.S. consulate.

So Michelle was applauding a lie. What a shock.

Nearly all of the audible applause came from those sitting away from the actual debate —

Meaning the Hofstra college kids and probably the ‘journalists.’

[B]ut when FOX News’ camera shot moved to a bird’s-eye view it became apparent that the only applause from the participating debate audience came from first lady Michelle Obama. Mitt Romney’s wife Ann was also sitting with the debate participants.

And yet she never applauded.

According to the rules both campaigns agreed to, or the memorandum of understanding (MOA), there is to be no clapping from members of the debate audience.

The rule: Article 9, Section A, Subsection 7: "All members of the debate audience will be instructed by the moderator before the debate goes on the air and by the moderator after the debate goes on the air not to applaud, speak, or otherwise participate in the debate by any means other than by silent observation, except as provided by the agreed upon rules of the October 16 town hall debate."

But, of course, ‘rules are for the little people,’ as Ms. Crowley also reminded us.

I keep posting around the WWW you HAVE TO go to websites you’d never got to to get the real flavor of how The Other Side revels in, wallows in, is beside themselves in the horrors perpetrated by the so-called Debate Commission, Obama’s “performances” and the ludicrous – ness of the whole situation.

    Really. Go look.

And see through something other than the Conservative lens we normally see through.

  2. Right of the People says:

The libtards are screaming at the top of their lungs today that the Obomination won last night. At worst is was a tie. The Ohole was at his slimiest with his smarmy smirking puss trying his best to look down on Romney.

This is one libtard I want to see unemployed.

The radical liberal people I know were all drunk and raging about the debate–of course after Obama’s prior disaster pretty much showing up and talking would be considered a “win.” Still, I thought it was only conservative rednecks who got smashed and ranted online.

The Obama Plan For Victory in debating is pretty much this:

    Phony preacher voice
    Say you’re for the poor/little people/downtrodden
Say your enemy is wealthy and ran a corporation.
Focus on how much taxes your enemy paid, ignore charitable giving that eclipses yours.
Play the social issues victim card–you did something for people, the enemy looked at how much it cost, wasn’t needed, or took away–and therefore they’re heartless.
Proclaim “Not True” to anything you can’t debate or don’t understand.
Remind everyone for the hundredth time Osama Bin Laden is dead but you’re not spiking thr football over it.

    Repeat Ad Nauseum.
