Empire State To Go Red/Yellow For China

From Red China’s crowing People’s Daily:

Empire building to turn red and yellow on China’s 60th

September 28, 2009

New York’s iconic Empire State Building will light up red and yellow on Wednesday in honor of the 60th anniversary of People’s Republic China.

The Chinese consul, Peng Keyu, and other officials will take part in the lighting ceremony which will bathe the skyscraper in the flag colors of China until Thursday, Empire State Building representatives said in a statement.

The upper sections of the building are regularly illuminated to mark special occasions, ranging from all blue to mark "Old Blue Eyes" Frank Sinatra’s death in 1998 to green for the annual Saint Patrick’s Day.

Nothing like celebrating the birth of the most murderous regime in recorded history.

Still, there is still hope that this report might be in error, or that the people running the Empire State building’s lights (it used to be Leona Helmsley) will come to their senses and change their minds.

Even though the Empire State Building now does go green each year for the Muslim holiday of Eid.

Maybe they’re just helping President Present smooth over the whole tires/chicken parts trade thing with the Chinese commie bastards.

From the Empire State Building Official Internet Site:

Empire State Building Associates, a general partnership of 2500 investors headed by Peter L. Malkin, Esq. and Mrs. Harry B. Helmsley, holds the master lease and controls the building until 2076.

Perhaps the Chinese government constitutes the “2,500 investors.”

Kinda like the Moron’s common posture of waving his butt in the air to the Chinese isn’t it.

Will they be changing the name to the Emperor’s State Building? If the owners truly realized what this building has meant to so many Americans, they would be ashamed of themselves. This was always a beacon of American Exceptionalism. This light display and others are a disgrace to the American Dream. If the owners believed in Freedom and the American people that have admired their building, if they only knew the importance of this great architectural wonder, If they only had a clue, it would be lit red, white and blue every night in honor of those dreams and in honor of those that have stood up to tyrannts. I find this shameful. Communist China and those that suffer under its might will continue to suffer as long as Americans, like the owners of this building, continue to be so clueless. May God continue to bless America despite this display of ignorance.

The last time I heard about her, Mrs. Harry B. Helmsley died, so only her dog manages her part of the lease.

The investors may hold the lease, but North Fork Bank has the mortgage on the land under the building (see http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchive&sid=aeGujB_iyCek for more information). North Fork Bank is now Capital One, which IMO is one of the most insidious banks around. Since the u.s. banks only have domestic money from the taxpayers via Bush/Obama/government bailout, you have to ask yourself, who will issue the money via mortgage for 625M of renovations with no guarantee of ROI… CHINA!!! YOU GOT IT!!!! BHO allowed the chinese flag flown at the white house too. HM.

      Not really.

The Chi-Com flag was put up across from the White House on the Ellipse.

Which is almost as bad, since it is a federal park.

But no chance for a “Wing and a Prayer”.
