Eric Holder Stops Homosexual Deportation

From a walking on air Associated Press:

Holder intervenes in gay man’s deportation case

By Suzanne Gamboa, Associated Press Thu May 5, 2011

WASHINGTON – Attorney General Eric Holder took the rare step Thursday of asking an immigration judicial panel to reconsider the case of a gay man they’d cleared for deportation.

Holder set aside the Board of Immigration Appeals ruling allowing the deportation to Ireland of Paul Wilson Dorman, a gay man illegally in the U.S. Dorman wants to stay in the country with his male partner, with whom he celebrated a civil union in New Jersey.

Are homosexuals Eric Holder’s ‘people’ too?

The Board of Immigration Appeals judges had ruled against Dorman on the basis of the Defense of Marriage Act, which defines marriage as between a man and a woman

Who cares about such petty things like laws instituted by acts of Congress? There are constituents to please — and votes to buy.

Holder asked the immigration board to reconsider its decision and determine whether Dorman can be considered a spouse under New Jersey law and whether he would be a spouse under immigration law were it not for the Defense of Marriage Act, according to a copy of Holder’s decision.

If only Mr. Holder would work as hard to keep illegal aliens out of this country, as he does to keep them in.

"This was an extraordinary measure by the Obama administration and demonstrates a clear commitment to nullify the Defense of Marriage Act," Mundy said of Holder’s action. "It’s a far-reaching victory not only for same-sex couples but for immigration reform."

That right — it’s a two-fer. Now all an illegal alien needs to do to get amnesty is to claim that he has a homosexual boyfriend (or girlfriend) who is a citizen. Isn’t that fabulous!

Lavi Soloway, a New York immigration attorney and founder of Immigration Equality, a group that advocates for the immigration rights of gay couples, said he considers Holder’s decision good news for gay people. Gay couples are barred from sponsoring their partners for immigration visas and denied other immigration benefits provided heterosexual couples

So Eric Holder is really changing a lot of laws with the wave of his hand. Apparently, it’s good to be the king.

You mean the one who was previously rescued off a New York alley by and later became roomates with an illegal Pakistani immigrant as he observed and participated in what he felt to be the vanity and racism/classism of Capitalism?

Tooth and claw, Barack. You’re becoming a bore.

We are a nation of laws….or maybe not.

The way Holder picks and chooses which law to uphold and which to ignore and which to ‘create’ on his own we are soon going to have another little king in waiting…right behind “The won” of course.

Ahhh, all the more to confuse the ‘enemy’ (constitutional conservs, repubs, tea party etc etc).

    Ok…its the…maybe not.

It is like the days of the old west you have the power you make the rules. The regime that is in power now, I really believe they are trying everything they can to push the great majority of decient people of this counrty over the edge. then they could get the real power they really want. Marshall law, then they could put all the people against them in there fema camps. Just a couple more views, can someone tell me why the gays think that it is my business to know what there sexual needs are. I could care less what two adults wish to do in their bedrooms. I also think Ireland would be a wonderful place for them to live instead of our bigoted counrty.
