conservativegirl, isn’t you Teamster’s health care called Teamster Care? Do you not take it with you if you leave one union job and go to another? I know your retirement is tied to the union and not to any company.

Of course, there is a clause in the Health care bill that exempts certain unions from having to take the plan that will be forced on the rest of us.

conservative girl, Absolutely right! I heard about that! I don’t like them anyway…the AARP has always be on the left anyway. They have a lot of good things about them but they are sold out politically and have been for ages.

I have the health insurance they support (prior to Obalmy) and I like it. Its done most all I need it to do, but I am not so sure I want to hear what they will have in mind for me now.

Perhaps a “better” “death interview”? Oh, great! (sarc)

As to that interview we would be mandated to go thru at 60 and every five years after and upon the acquisition of a life threatening condition (pg 425) ….I told my husband they will play “hell” getting ME in for that!!!!! He nearly fell on the floor laughing at the thought! LOL

If you hear of a great disturbance here in central Florida…It will probably be me! LOL

Hey, this is pure and simple “pay back time”. Look what Obalmy has done for unions (read that, union heiarchy bigwigs)….and I am sure more is promised behind the scenes.

As usual, the Teamsters threw their own members under the bus for a, to use a term they use…”sweetheart deal” for the union heiarchy.

There are a whole load of “useful” idiots in the “rank and file” who swallow anything and everything the union bosses tell them.

Easier than thinking. They won’t wake up til it’s too late.

You’re right, Teamsters don’t pay any benefits, healthcare and otherwise. As a wife of a conservative Teamster I will use their website and perform my own version of activism.

Teamsters do not pay for the gold-plated benefits – the companies do.

It probably isn’t the rank and file workers who want it – but the union bosses.

My sister who works in the health care industry is actually a Teamster – I kid you not – all the employees at the hospital where she works are – with the exception of the janitors/central services – they are SEIU. She voted against unionization – but they were still able to unionize anyways.
