FactCheck.Org (Lies): ‘We Warned You All Along!’

From FactCheck.org:

Reality Confronts Obama’s False Promise

By Brooks Jackson | October 29, 2013

We’ve been saying for years that President Obama was over-simplifying and over-promising when he kept saying, “if you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan” under the new health care law. Now reality is catching up with his political spin.

Funny, but we don’t remember any such thing. In fact, until three weeks ago all we remember is how these ‘fact check’ sites were saying that the critics of Obama-Care were outrageous liars.

But now that they think Obama-Care is safely ensconced as the Law Of The Land, and it can never been repealed or defunded, they feel free to say they knew it was all built on a lie all along.

In an Aug. 18, 2009, item — headlined “Keep Your Own Insurance? Not Everyone” — we cited a Congressional Budget Office projection that 3 million people covered by employer-provided insurance plans under current law would not be offered coverage…

Utter BS. Here is how that 2009 ‘fact check" ends: "So, can you keep your insurance under the health care proposals in Congress? Answer: It depends. And it depends mainly on the proposed federal plan, which may not be part of whatever emerges from Congress." In other words, the didn’t say anyone was going to lose coverage.

The issue now getting attention is that the new law sets minimum standards for health insurance coverage, requiring, for example, that all health plans carry mental health benefits, prescription drug coverage, vaccinations, dental and vision care for children, maternity care for women, and more. Coverage also must be available to all regardless of preexisting medical conditions…

The large majority of Americans are not affected by these changes, since they get their coverage through comprehensive employer plans or Medicare or other government programs…

Just wait until the employer mandate kicks in in 2015. You ain’t seen nothing yet. A detail that this ‘fact check’ gets around to in its final paragraphs:

Furthermore, millions more who are under employer-sponsored plans are also expected to lose their current coverage and need to shift to buying coverage for themselves on the new exchanges. That’s why we listed Obama’s “you can keep your plan” refrain as one of the health care “whoppers” in 2010.

Here is FactCheck described that ‘whopper’ in 2010: "If you like your plan, you can keep your plan. — Obama has repeatedly made this claim, and it’s true for the most part. But not for everyone. Employers could still drop coverage under the bill — just as they can now — and, in fact, the CBO estimates that some would." They really took Obama to the woodshed, didn’t they?

One of the “Whoppers of 2012” and — just last month — one of several “Obamacare Myths.” …

And here is how they described that whopper last month: "Meanwhile, Obama can’t promise you can keep your plan. Employers are free to switch coverage, just as they were before."

Yep, FactCheck has been all over these vicious lies.

This was another example of reality catching up to the president’s unfulfillable blanket promise that “you can keep your plan.” Not everybody can. That’s been widely expected for years, and now it’s becoming obvious.

As Rep. Joe Wilson once rightly opine of Obama, ‘Mr. Jackson — you lie!’ You and your fellow fact checkers did everything you could to downplay Obama’s false promises.

But, of course, we realize it’s a waste of time to debunk the so-called fact check sites. Nobody but the lowest of the low information voters are fooled by them anymore. In reality, the media just use their fact checks to try to put across their biggest whoppers.

Being as national socialists have few skills beyond public manipulation, they are intentionally and willfully playing a very dangerous game; They have bet their money on the media doing as they wish and creating the angst necessary to get to single-payer “healthcare”.

I’ve been saying it for years and (thankfully) Rush has been amplifying the word and need to know about what’s going on.

By the media saying (lying) “We told you all along”, it fits in well with the choreographed rollout of the abomination, in order to speed-i-fy getting to single-payer. Notice the media isn’t being scolded for outing the lies. This is a “shotl” the national socialists are willing to take in order to “fix it” by going to single payer.

And, they don’t seem too concerned about the mid-term elections, either. Thus, I must conclude that the fix is in; That there are enough potentially re-elected “republicans” willing to vote in favor of a state-run medical industry that the current anger and name-calling by the press doesn’t bother them.

The United States ceased being a representative constitutional republic some time ago but that didn’t stop the statists from cranking up the heat to boil the water sooner. Us frogs who notice are dismissed as “tea-baggers” and “right wing kooks”.

But this is what happens when the system becomes rigged and gerrymandered to please the powermongers who get elected through creative lying and election-rigging.

Yes, it happens on the republican side as well. Just that the national socialists are better at it.

Term limits should’ve been created long ago. But then, no elected official will ever vote for such a thing. It’s like a used car salesman voting that he can only sell one car a month.

I suppose I could write a book on the curiously un-well mental characteristics of the elected elitists in DC but I defer to Rome, 63AD for a better synopsis. In that people/societies/attitudes don’t change in the human genome. There are oppressors and the oppressed and sadly, the human mind for most people, is unable to see survival in any other way than to become one of the oppressors and be “in charge” of something, anything so that they can “get theirs” before someone else beats them to it.

Sadly, in the US, this attitude, though fairly prevalent, is as unnecessary as it is false. But, I speak of a time when I was a kid and you could still make your way in life if you worked hard, got the right training and experience, you could be a successful individual. But it’s changed now to the proletariat paying for votes (Rome) and threatening to harm those who discredit them (Rome) and telling lies to keep the public masses quiet (Rome) while the government elitists sequester themselves away from the rabble (Rome) and hire security and other personnel to shield them (Rome) and live luxurious lives away from the damage they cause to the populace (Rome).

It didn’t bode well for Rome, though it limped along for centuries that way until they got sacked. There was no mercy in the destruction and it resulted in the Dark Ages and the rising of fiefdoms and royal oligarchies founded on more lies and BS but still the same thing, on a smaller scale and sliced and diced into little duchies that controlled the serfs by not letting them learn to read and taxing them into perpetual obedience.

It’s not that long ago, really. But given that we know so much about it, as did Jefferson, Washington, Adams, Franklin, they tried to make it avoidable but acknowledged that greedy people could still undermine the wonderful Constitutional system they devised.

“A republic, if you can keep it”

    Apparently, we have failed.

    well done,Rusty.
you have pointed out an ongoing ” confabulation in memory” by the national socialists .

    Confabulation;

, false memory, or less often pseudomemory is a term in cognitive psychology defined as a recollection of something that never happened. This can range from something as minor as misremembering an item on a list to fabricating an entire detailed, vivid memory out of whole cloth.

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it”

“Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.”
