FEC Pushed To Let Gays Give More Money To Dems

From the Washington Post:

FEC asked to recognize rights of married gay couples on campaign donations

By Matea Gold | July 1, 2013

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee on Monday asked the Federal Election Commission to treat married gay couples the same as opposite-sex spouses, part of an early push to bring federal statutes in line with the Supreme Court’s decision last week striking down part of the Defense of Marriage Act.

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is always leading the charge for more and more civil rights.

In its advisory opinion request, the DSCC said the high court’s ruling gives married same-sex couples new rights under federal election law, including the ability to make a single campaign contribution from a joint bank account if only one spouse has earned the income.

Under FEC rules, a federal campaign committee that receives a single check from a married couple credits half to one spouse and half to the other. That allows each spouse to donate the maximum allowed under law, even if only one earns income.

The commission ruled in April that the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), which defined marriage as solely between a man and a woman, prohibited married gay couples with a single income to donate through one check.

That decision had come in response to a request by Dan Winslow, a Massachusetts state representative who was running in the Republican primary for the special U.S. Senate election in the spring. He said same-sex spouses in that state wanted to contribute jointly to his ultimately unsuccessful campaign.

While the panel turned him down, several commissioners indicated that they did so only because DOMA tied their hands.

In its filing Monday, the Democratic campaign committee also asked the commission to allow a married gay candidate to treat the assets of his or her spouse as personal funds that could serve as collateral for a loan.

Guy Cecil, the committee’s executive director, said the DSCC filed the request because it expects to recruit more gay candidates and to continue fundraising in the gay community.

“They deserve the same rights and responsibilities to participate in the election process as their straight counterparts,” Cecil said…

In other words, this is all about boosting the Democrat campaign coffers. Which, come to think of it, is what the whole push for gay rights has been from the get-go.

After all, maximizing Democrat campaign donations is probably the most important part of this new ‘civil right.’

Almighty God rarely used the term abomination, except for the Law laid down in Leviticus, restated in Deuteronomy.

Homosexuality was that abomination. Abomination in the Hebrew text means in a ritual sense, an unclean thing as in unclean foods, idols and mixed marriages. It is also defined in the tex in an ethical sense as evil. Wickedness.

How many catastrophes were visited upon the Israelite people for their turning to wickedness and abominations? The former Testament is wall to wall with illustrations.

Now that the Supreme Court has, in our name, bound America to homosexuality as acceptable in the sight of the people, dig in, hold on and get ready.

    We’re goners.

Sodom and Gomorrah were totally destroyed, wiped from the face of the earth and were never inhabited again for the same abomination which our politicains and judges have thrust upon the people, mostly against our will. Although relentless propaganda in the schools and media have quickly, almost overnight, changed the culture for the worse. (Remember that Barack Hussien Obama was a bigot against same-sex marriage just 14 months ago.)

Abraham pleaded with God to save those cities if their could be found only one righteous man. God sent his angels to remove Lot and his family before his wrath fell upon the doomed cities.

We can only have faith that he will once again be so generous to those of us who love him. I look forward to it everyday.

This culture, this 21st century America, is in a death spiral and their doesn’t seem to be any pilot to pull us out of the plunge.

We’re in the final stages of the death of our republic, and self-government is disappearing in the black hole of identity politics and mob rule. Our Constitution and Declaration of Independence were crafted to protect the MINORITY from the MAJORITY; that is, mob rule.

Notice the world’s worst tyrannies are usually called “the people’s democratic (blah, blah)…” If you aren’t part of the collective, you’re dead.

The Demonicrats have mastered the Satanic are of manipulating mobs to steamroll tyrannical rules and oppressive slogans through Congress and the Courts into our body of laws.

“Diversity” and “liberalism” become weapons to silence people of faith and anyone who values our nation’s traditions and history of success.

Soon we’ll be The People’s Democratic Republic of America. One-party rule. No individual freedom. Poverty and mass misery.

Its a crying shame that the dems rush perverts rights to the forfront. While Disabled Veterans are forced
to fill out 800 pages of paperwork then wait years for help. Something I’ve witnessed first hand. I am watching the downfall
of America and I’m pissed off!

  4. AcornsRNutz says:

And now we come to the root of the matter. More money and votes. The whole push to legitimize homosexual behavior and rights has been about establishing themselves as doing the moral thing when they pander to this powerful political machine that is the gay rights lobby. While I agree with moral objections to the whole thing, I don’t think the left has really thought about that so much as the same old same old: votes, money, power.

  5. preparing4theworst says:

Now wait until the homosexual community discovers the ‘marriage penalty’ built into the tax code….one of two things will happen- a) they will rise up and get it changed, or b) they will rise up and get it changed….for them only…any bets as to which? Didn’t think so.

    • River0 says:

This whole gay marriage issue is designed to undermine traditional marriage and to pave the way for polyamory (multiple men and women marrying) and every conceivable distortion of human relationships.

By destroying the family, we all become dependent on the collective, with all-powerful government controlling our lives. This is pure ‘progressivism'; just another form of Marxism/Communism.

Most people aren’t aware of the agenda behind gay marriage because they haven’t read Saul Alinsky’s ‘Rules For Radicals’ or the other books and tracts of the Left. Hillary Clinton knows all about it, and wrote her Masters thesis on Alinsky. The leaders of the EU know all about it, too, and they will benefit from the permanent tyranny of mob-rule democracy.

    • Noyzmakr says:

And let’s not forget that Alinsky dedicated his book to the first radical, Satan.

Progressivism. Marxism, Communism and Socialism are all Satanic government systems designed to cage human beings, not free them.
