‘F&F’ Docs Show Holder Was Briefed In July

From (of all places) CBS News:

ATF Fast and Furious: New documents show Attorney General Eric Holder was briefed in July 2010

WASHINGTON – New documents obtained by CBS News show Attorney General Eric Holder was sent briefings on the controversial Fast and Furious operation as far back as July 2010. That directly contradicts his statement to Congress.

On May 3, 2011, Holder told a Judiciary Committee hearing, "I’m not sure of the exact date, but I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks."

Yet internal Justice Department documents show that at least ten months before that hearing, Holder began receiving frequent memos discussing Fast and Furious.

Notice, however, that the only email this article quotes (at the bottom) is not particularly damning. Why isn’t CBS giving us access to the rest of them?

The documents came from the head of the National Drug Intelligence Center and Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer…

[T]he Justice Department has publicly tried to distance itself [from ‘Fast & Furious’]. But the new documents leave no doubt that high level Justice officials knew guns were being "walked" [into Mexico].

Two Justice Department officials mulled it over in an email exchange Oct. 18, 2010. "It’s a tricky case given the number of guns that have walked but is a significant set of prosecutions," says Jason Weinstein, Deputy Assistant Attorney General of the Criminal Division.

Deputy Chief of the National Gang Unit James Trusty replies "I’m not sure how much grief we get for ‘guns walking.’ It may be more like, "Finally they’re going after people who sent guns down there."

The Justice Department told CBS News that the officials in those emails were talking about a different case started before Eric Holder became Attorney General. And tonight they tell CBS News, Holder misunderstood that question from the committee – he did know about Fast and Furious – just not the details.

So which is it? Mr. Holder needs to decide on a story and stick to it.

So far it’s been like watching a boxing match…where the potential loser gets hit…and noticeably staggers. Then gets hit again and again until he goes limp and lands on the mat. Question is, how many hits? Let’s hope it’s a lot and that he feels every-single-one.

Oh, let the tap-dancing begin. What a show it will be. Eric the Red, prime up your big lying machine….and remember to deflect, deflect, deflect, obfuscate, cloud, misunderstand, accuse of racism…all the tricks…all the tricks….yes. Halloween is coming so you can also don other costumes and maybe fake your way through it.

Whhhoooooooeeee! This should be a time!

I want to hear Holder utter the words…” That depends on what the meaning of the word ‘guns’ is.” It’s coming. Rest assured. If Holder were a republican, he would already be up on charges just for lying to congress. Let alone the crimes committed by our justice department solely for the purpose of the socialist’s political gain.

Remember this well, because after today you probably will never hear another word about any of it.

SG : “Representative Darryl Issa … suggested … that Mr. Holder may have perjured himself.”

Why stop with perjury? What about treason?

Last time I looked, the US Constitution defined treason as levying war against the United States, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. Art. III, sec. 3.

In addition, most of the States (think AZ, TX, NM, etc.) have similar constitutional provisions governing treason. John Brown, for example, was executed for treason against Virginia.

Mr Holder is a liberal communist Democrate (I know I’m being redundant) and therefore this will all go away somehow or if worst comes to worst he will be thrown under the bus where he will at least have lots of company. When the dust settles he will become a lobbyist.

What an absolute tragedy government is

DEA: you have the right to put whatever you want into your own body. Gov’t is just angry they aren’t getting tax money. They also love the fact that the court/probation/prison system gets plenty of victims…..they don’t care about you or your drug use.

ATF: we don’t need these people either. We have the 2nd Amendment, and tobacco and alcohol are regulated also for their tax purposes…..no tobacco or alcohol can be made without paying Uncle Sam first!…..again, they could care a less about you, because if they did, they would phase out smoking and drinking, but they are too addicted to the tax revenue to completely eliminate it.

CIA: the paranoid people will always find a new windmill to attack. Where were these people before 911? —asleep at the wheel, after all the money and resources we gave them, they were taken by surprise.

T.S.A.: another jack-booted organization that, when not feeling-up or stealing from the baggage of the people they are supposed to protect, could care a less about you and your safety. Airports should opt out of using these horrible people.

Dept. of Education: billions/year and could care a less about children, as they are not responsible for even teaching 1 kid.

Dept of Energy: billions/year, and no closer to weaning us from foreign oil. More jobs for bureaucrats, and they could care a less about alternative energy.

Dept of Corrections: again, another job-scheme to keep gov’t people employed.
    Cash 4 Kids Scheme: http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Justice/2011/0811/Kids-for-cash-judge-sentenced-to-28-years-for-racketeering-scheme

All these unnecessary organizations just run around and create mischief for the U.S. and the world. We don’t need any of them. Any problems are LOCAL or STATE problems, and voters can decide if they want to legalize drugs or not.
