Germany during the height of the Baader-Meinhof terror, and actually lived less than a half mile away when police stormed a house that members of this organization were living in. It was a tense, scary time for the entire community, and something I'll never forget. To immortalize them and to try and make them sympathetic figures is unconscionable, but not, unfortunately uncommon. Remember Hollywood's portrayal of Bonnie & Clyde, and its attempt to make them folk heroes? The movie industry is as liberal as they come, for the most part, and is heavily into rewriting history.
