1st grader question for Obama

Why did the FED just make an historical low adjustment to the interest rates yesterday? Do they understand that a reciprocal devaluation of the dollar would occur? Do they understand that the only way we finance your government programs and bailouts is by selling treasury bonds and that we just made them historically unappealing?

I'm just a little 1st grader and I'm looking forward to a long happy life.

STOP WAR?

Shouldn't the kids be writing to Hamas, Al Qaida, Iran, and Pakistan? Those are the people who START WARS.

If you want to help the starving, how about writing to African "leaders" and tell them to support their own people. Or how about teaching these dumb kids and their parents that when you feed people who have no means or ability to support themselves, you only get MORE PEOPLE who don't have the means or ability to support themselves. That is how you end poverty.

Nice writing program. Lia capitalizes almost every word. Yes, she's only 6, but this is what passes for a writing program in public schools. As long as they're writing something, it's good! Process over content. What are the odds that anyone will take the time to teach her differently in years to come?
As wacko as the letters to Obama are, I'll wager that there are many, many more letters from school kids headed to Iraq and Afghanistan this time of year. Bless the teachers who encourage that.

"President-elect Barack Hussein Obama might have consulted with hundreds of advisers over the course of his recently concluded campaign, but some Wauwatosa first-graders are hopeful they can catch his ear once he gets into office.

They think they have a secret weapon: themselves.

“He loves kids,” said Gabbie Hussein Howell, a student at Jefferson Elementary School in Wauwatosa."

"I wonder how many children will be as fond of Obama, I can not see him setting up an office to correspond with children or even sending a kind letter to a child who expressed their honest oppinion of him."

Virtual Academies are also a way out. They are public schools with exceptional curriculum and the curriculum is free. The day to day teacher is the parent with minimal interfearance from a teacher who is assigned to your student. You meet with the teacher online or at gatherings one or two times a month, you send in a sampling of the work they do every month, and all for free (you have to pay for the internet connection). When we went over Islamic history I was the teacher and I was able to teach the truth and go deaper into some of the history than the sugar coated material. I prefer to home school without intervention, but the best curriculums are expensive, so this was a way out of the huge price tag. We also get to pick our holidays and vacations. We can do school on Saturday, from 2-7, any time as long as we get the schooling in. It is a great program and one that Obama will not touch.

I just wanted to add (slightly off topic) here that as a young child (maybe 7 years old) I wrote a letter to Regan after he bombed Khadafi. I told him it was bad to kill people blah blah blah...(my mother was and probably still is a Carter fan (but she is now conservative....go figure). I got a letter back from Regan's office..
Dear Amber....,
Thank you so much for your kind words of support. blah blah blah.
Signed (in ink with pamphlets for kids) President Ronald Regan

As a young child, I was slightly offended that no one read my letter, but I felt awsome that the President mailed me a letter (yah, I know his office, but still!). I could not help but think he was not as terrible of a person as my mother said. From then on, I was kind of fond of President Regan. I wonder how many children will be as fond of Obama, I can not see him setting up an office to correspond with children or even sending a kind letter to a child who expressed their honest oppinion of him.

“The liberal indoctrination starts young, doesn’t it?”

And let’s remember that Obama has pledged $10 billion for early childhood schools. I can see preschool (or even pre-preschool) becoming a national requirement. Get to them before they develop a rational mind.

Homeschooling is a way out but will it survive Obama’s presidency? Liberals have been attacking the concept in many states (in Tennessee you can’t hold a state job if you were homeschooled) even when homeschooled children show higher test scores.

They’re never going to stop themselves folks. We either fight them or get used to it comrades.

<blockquote>"He loves kids"...</blockquote>

Um, yeah, unless you're an unborn child in an unplanned pregnancy. Then kids are "punishments" and Obama's bang along side those who think it's noble and just to leave them to die in closets, after unsuccessfully trying to rip them apart in the womb.

This is digusting. Homeschool, or private school, and lock and load. Don't think they won't be coming after your kids.

Don't fear, too much. All kids think puppies are cute and everything should be free. When they grow up, they have to scoop up the shit and pay taxes - that's when they stop being liberals...
