Five Muslims Held In Pope ‘Terrorist’ Plot

From Agence France-Presse:

Five held in Britain over pope ‘terrorist’ alert

LONDON (AFP) – British police on Friday arrested five men on suspicion of plotting a "terrorist" attack linked to the historic state visit of Pope Benedict XVI.

Since “terrorist” is put in quotes, we will assume that the five men in question are of the Muslim persuasion.

The Vatican insisted that the pope was "calm" following the arrests and that it had full confidence in Scotland Yard’s ability to protect him.

The Pope made no mention of God? We guess he didn’t want to offend anyone.

The five men were held "on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism" when officers raided a business address in central London in the early hours, according to a police statement

On Friday, the pope was to attend a high-profile service with Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams at Westminster Abbey with the guests expected to include Britain’s former prime minister Tony Blair…

Are they sure the target was his eminence and not Mr. Blair?

As media reports said the men were Algerian, police were searching several properties in the British capital but reported they had not yet found any "hazardous items." …

Like night follows the day.

“the pope was to attend a high-profile service with Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams at Westminster Abbey ….”

Ah, yes, Rowan Williams, Archbishop of Canterbury and cheerleader for Islam and Sharia law.

Memo to Pope Benedict XVI : bring a long spoon.

Petronius – it seems a lot of people over the last 20 years have thought Prince Charles is a convert to Islam.

One of the tell-tale signs is that he has vowed that when he assumes the throne, he will call himself ‘The Defender of Faiths’ (as opposed to The Defender of the Faith). It might seem like it’s a negligible thing to anyone who’s not a Brit, but is a very big deal because it breaks with tradition; but he prefers islam over Anglicanism – hence the love affair with Rowan Williams has with Islam and Sharia law. He agrees with Charles!

Is Prince Charles a Convert to Islam?

It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if the world is heading into an ‘Islam vs Christianity’ mode… with the emphasis on Catholicism as per the Vatican’s stance.

One day we’re all going to have to choose sides at point of death (think Crusades), and it isn’t going to be pretty.

    From the Telegraph:

Police have arrested a sixth man on terrorist charges over an alleged plan to assassinate the Pope.

Have a laugh at the expense of a Muslim:

“Stone mason sparks cathedral row with ‘Muslim’ gargoyle”

“A Lyons stone mason has provoked a row after creating a gargoyle for the city’s cathedral in the image of his Muslim foreman with a sign saying “Allahu Akbar” (God is great) in both Arabic and French.”

“A new gargoyle on Lyon cathedral, which looks like Benzizine Ahmed (R), the Muslim foreman who led the restoration of the tower and worked on the cathedral for 30 years”
