Flashback: Obama On Cutting Programs

From YouTube:

Obama / McCain 3rd Debate, Part 13 – Cutting Programs

Remember the third and last Obama – McCain debate last October, when Bob Schieffer asked Obama what programs he would cut or eliminate?

If you do, you will perhaps also recall that Mr. Obama somehow never managed to cite a single program he would cut.

Instead, Obama went through his usual laundry list of all of the programs that he would never cut. And he went on to list even more costly programs that he wanted to introduce.

Well, guess what? Mr. Obama has already gotten every item he mentioned in his “stimulus” program.

That is “fiscal responsibility” — according to President Obama.

(Even this clip doesn’t provide the full extent Mr. Obama’s obfuscations. You can see the entire debate here.)

Asking a liberal what programs he would cut????

Wasnt that just the comedic relief section?

  2. proreason says:

I tried to watch, I really did.

Still wiping the vomit off the monitor.

  3. VMAN says:

Well the O hole’s approval ratings are going down and his disapproval ratings are going up. And what’s congress doing you might ask? The house just passed the Captive Primate Safety Act. Now we are safe from Cheeta. When will they pass a bill to keep us safe from the O hole?

Well the Dow went up 2% today because Bernecke tried to calm the waters about nationalizing the banks.

You would think that even someone as dense as The Moron would begin to figure out that people who have the money to run business and create jobs HATE HIS AGENDA WITH A BLIND PASSION.

      But of course, I’m kidding.

      That’s what he wants.

    • VMAN says:

      Too true Pro. Too true

I figure I have to see this clown tonight at 9 and couldn’t stomach seeing anymore of him than necessary.
A bit OT but is anyone else looking forward to seeing what Bobby Jindal has to say?

    • proreason says:

Jindal did an off-the-cuff (or so it seemed) 2 minutes after The Moron’s loonie Fiscal Responsibility session yesterday.

He was AWESOME. Really, it would be hard to over praise how he handled it.

The knock I’m hearing on him is that he’s boring…..if you can believe that our country has come to that (I jest of course. Sometimes I forget for a moment that we are ruled by adolescents.).

And then, his personal records going back to pre-school haven’t yet been ripped to shreds by the insane jackels who do that sort of thing from their mother’s basements between porno videos. The msm.

It’s clear that they are doing their level best to throw as much pork as possible against the wall as quickly as they can.Whatever does end up sticking will go a long way to satisfy their base. In any case, whatever sticks will indeed stick it to the country long term. Funny how no Federal judges are stepping in to put an injunction on the law while the country has time to catch their breath. I would suspect that this bill was authored by Pelosi, Reid and Obama between the election and the inauguration. They didn’t need to “read” it when they “wrote” it.

  6. canary says:

It was all stuff he’s said over and over, only he acted like his stimulous package had allready worked, and people were already getting everything.

far as cutting any spending, He went back from free computers and internet for every child in America to a world class free education for children from the day of their birth. I would imagine every new baby will get a audio visual programmed framed autographed picture of Obama to hang above their crib, that if the baby learns to look at, it will teach the infant to say “Obama. Obama. instead of
    ma ma, and da da.

He continues to avoid the military issue. It was a chance for the troops who only get to watch CNN to hear a pat on the back. Even if he’d worn a yellow ribbon pin. Talk is cheap. I’d really like to see some photos of the work he’s allready done on the school under the railroad track. Twice we’ve seen the banks blow their handouts on themselves and he wants to give them more. Cheaper if he’d educate the people who don’t understand how to read what they are signing.

I couldn’t help but to laugh at Bambi last night.

His handlers still confuse campaigning and making a speech as President. Standing in front of both chambers – declaring “we will not cow tow to executives and banks”… uhhh except for the hundreds of House/Senate members who cow tow to the bank/corp lobbyists and add on thier willingness to push through bogus “mortgage for minorities” legislation.

He then went on to declare the fight for alternative energy – with ridiculous made up numbers (double the usage in 2 years), yet the very obsrtuctionist Dems, through the guise of environental protection – lapped up the “guarantee” and applauded wildly.

He then went on to discuss education, its importance and “results” in the class room. Hmmm – last time I checked it is the Dem led teacher unions who kick and scream for any goal oriented numbers and/or any retribution to teachers who dont accomplish these goals. (Note to Georgia teachers – changing the test score for a pass to be 60 does not count ;) )

All in all another fantasy laced Bambi dream sequence of nothingness.

  8. Reality Bytes says:

Watched “Patton” the other night. Boy, thank God Patton didn’t talk like Obama does. Rommel would have creamed him.

  9. proreason says:

“Our new President provides the perfect combination of hubris, narcissism, naïveté and unjustified self-confidence to continue to step well beyond the bounds of the limited mandate he acquired with his enormous campaign funds, the stilted lick-spittle media coverage, and unquestioning support from youths and minorities.”

Obama on cutting programs – Before Election –
(From Everything’s All Right (Jesus Christ Superstar)
    Woman your fine ointment
    Brand new and expensive
Should have been saved for the poor
    Why has it been wasted?
    We could have raised maybe
Three hundred silver pieces or more
    People who are hungry
    People who are starving
    Matter more
    Than your feet and hair

    Obama – After Election –
    Surely you’re not saying
    We have the resources
To save the poor from their lot?
    There will be poor always
    Pathetically struggling
Look at the good things you’ve got!
Think while you still have me
Move while you still see me
    You’ll be lost
    You’ll be so sorry
    When I’m gone
