Food Stamp #s Up 50% Under Obama

From the Zero Hedge website:

America Celebrates Positive NFP Surprise And Wealth Effect With Another Foodstamp Record

by Tyler Durden on 04/01/2011

As some Americans managed to find part-time and temporary jobs in March, some other Americans dropped below the poverty level threshold. 105 thousand in one month to be precise. The total foodstamp participation in January hit an all time record 44,187,831 according to the USDA…

Judging from the chart, the number of people on food stamps has gone up almost 50% in the two years that Mr. Obama has been President.

[Meanwhile] the average monthly benefit on a per person and per household basis, has been declining for two years straight and is now at the lowest it has been since April 2009.

In summary: more Americans than ever are living on government subsistence, but at least the amount these people are receiving is the lowest since 2009, or $132.81 per month. Unfortunately, America’s attempt to recreate communism may not be working out all that well…

So more people are food stamps, but they are getting smaller ‘benefits.’ Isn’t this what socialism always leads to? Everyone getting an ever diminishing piece of pie.

Except for the party bosses on top, of course.

Why doesn’t every Republican shout this from the rooftops?

    (rhetocial question, of course)

DocZero – The Redistributed Future. His points about young people hit home personally.

When you’re young and making just above poverty wages at the beginning of your career, probably carrying debt, as much of your taxes go to FICA as to the Feds and Medicare, and so your refund is even more negligible. It’s barely tolerable as it is until you realize your income taxes go to everyone from lazy slugs to the Demoncrap Party, and at your mid-twenties it’s laughable to think you’ll see your share Social Security.

Add that to everything else that Progressives do that ends up strangling low-income ‘working class’ earners, and that’s when we’re out at the Tea Party rallies with everyone else.

the next pitched battle genned up by the Marxist Conflict Creation Machine is young vs old.

As if the old weren’t young at one time, and in the same situation young people are today. Do they imagine the elderly popped into life at 21 with homes and IRA’s and collecting government benefits out the ying yang?

It’s really beyond belief but it’s absolutely real. The next life or death struggle is scheduled to be young people, told at 140 decibels that the very bread going into their lips has to be snatched from the greedy unamercan lips of senior citizens who aren’t willing to step aside and die but instead insist on running up million dollar health care bills just so young people have to suffer.

And at the same time, since irony and consistency are the last thing marxists would ever consider, old people are being told that the greedy bastard Republicans are snatching the crumbs out of THEIR mouths so that a few Wall Street fat cats (not Jeffrye Imhelt; BAD Wall Street fat cats) can dine on caviar and crushed diamonds.

When are people going to wake up and see what the source of all of these conflicts are?

Meanwhile, people continue to live lives only royalty could have conceived of 100 years ago.
