Fox Poll: 76% Think IRS Emails Deliberately Destroyed

From Fox News:

Fox News Poll: Voters think IRS emails were deliberately destroyed

By Dana Blanton | June 24, 2014

The consensus is: it’s no accident. More than three-quarters of voters — 76 percent — think the emails missing from the account of Lois Lerner, the ex-IRS official at the center of the scandal over targeting of conservative groups, were deliberately destroyed. That’s according to a new Fox News poll.

That suspicion is shared across party lines, albeit to varying degrees. An overwhelming 90 percent of Republicans think the emails were intentionally destroyed, as do 74 percent of independents and 63 percent of Democrats.

Overall, just 12 percent of voters believe the emails were destroyed accidentally. Another 12 percent are unsure…

12% of Americans probably still think the moon is made out of green cheese. (As Mr. Obama has recently reminded us.)

Some 74 percent of voters now say lawmakers should investigate the IRS “until someone is held accountable,” up from 67 percent who felt that way in April. That includes 66 percent of Democrats.

That is a beautiful dream. But when has anyone ever been held accountable for any Obama or Democrat scandal? Ever?

This is one of several scandals President Obama claims he first learned about from the news media. (Others include Fast & Furious and the Veterans Affairs wait-list scandal.) The new poll finds less than a third of voters believe that he actually found out about such scandals from the media (31 percent). Almost twice as many don’t believe that could truly be the case (60 percent).

Most Republicans (73 percent) and independents (68 percent) find it unbelievable that Obama learned about the scandals from the news. Among Democrats, views split: 42 percent believe Obama and 44 percent don’t buy it…

Actually, the real reason to doubt that Obama learned about these scandals from the news media, is because the news media has barely covered any of these scandals. (Apart from Fox News, which Obama does not watch.)

Interestingly, the IRS has few friends. Although the socialists have easily co-opted the agency into a lapdog for their nefarious purposes, most Americans despise the entity for very sound reasons.

We who work and pay taxes; Who wade through the 1040 swamp every April, find the gobbledygook of puerile dimensions. And, talking with anyone who’s ever been audited or harassed by the IRS, I have learned that they are the bureaucrats from hell and really are only focused on how to get money from people into the hands of the government.

That’s a curious trait in human terms. Why would anyone want to subjugate themselves into a world of clamping down on the freedoms of others by taking their wealth? All for the measly, piddly salary that such socialist operatives garner?

Power? That’s the only thing I can think of. The power over others that makes them feel some sort of pain…and I think they actually take a sick sort of pleasure in it.

Well, my point is this though: The socialists, and BS Barry have sorely miscalculated on the media being able to run cover for all of this. A case of “too big for their britches” is an apt description because they, in their socialistic omniscience, have failed to understand that even the socialists in the media work for someone…get a paycheck and like any working American, see the huge hunk of taxes that are taken from it just to pay GovCo. Sure, they might like to debate that the money that is relieved from them should go to X or Y….at the end of the day, socialists are far more greedy than capitalists, as we all know and they don’t like the huge tax load on their pay.

So, it’s unlikely that the media will spend the desired (expected) amount of effort to hide the wrongdoing done here by the IRS. I did watch Gwen Awful last night in passing and PBS is still trying to spin it by interviewing operatives of the socialist party in Washington to sound as if there can’t be any wrongdoing because “there’s no evidence of it”.

I kept thinking “Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence”.

The representative that Ms Awful was interviewing spouted the commie talking points with ease and kept bringing up that the IRS “didn’t just investigate conservative groups but liberal/progressive groups as well” when the reality is, even as pointed out right here on S&L, NO liberal groups were targeted by the IRS.

So, yes, it’s easy to connect the dots that the emails were intentionally deleted or are hidden, using a pathetic argument that “my dog ate my homework”. The obvious juvenile/adolescent behavior aspect of it can’t possibly float except to the LoFo’s who are permanently ensconced in substandard intellect.

And….as has been broadcast by all working people since its inception: Everyone hates the IRS.

The socialists sorely miscalculated using them to do such things to the public. And they are losing what miniscule amount of support they may have had.

  2. Destroy the IRS. It should never have been and all it is for is to collect the vig on money you and I did not borrow but rather Congress waxed fat on.
