Bawney is certainly a glowing example of an empowered queer. No – I am not a homophobe, just a skilled observer of human nature. He was probably beaten as a child by his peers, scorned at one time in his life for his sexual proclivities and suffers some deep anxieties and conflict over his sexuality. But now he can be as flamboyant as he wants. Obviously he has the blessings of his constituents. As a society we have become much to tolerant of behavior that lacks any semblance of normality. Tolerance is a big factor in where we are today. Go ahead Bawney – have your day. I think you should even add a boa to your wardrobe. If God permits, perhaps we will once again return to higher expectations.

I guess you have to look at the area/district he reperesents. Barry Goldwater (RIP) would have an easier time getting elected in the Castro District of San Francisco than a Conservative in Bawney Fwank’s district. If the term safe district ever applied, it sure as Hell does in this case.

And catie is right. They keep putting this disgrace back in office year after year so they get what they deserve/want. How else can you explain Nazi Pelousy, Jon Murtha, Harry Reid and all the other bad jokes in Congress?

It’s a reflection of the entire Democratic Party that he’s held in such high esteem by them….him and Nancy “Plastic Surgery Queen” Pelosi, and Harry “The War Is Lost” Reid. What a triad of buffoons. I thought Congress was supposed to be filled with our best and brightest rather than our societal refuse, virtual dog poop on the shoe of the nation. I say let him keep talking; and Barry and Nancy and Harry and the whole lot. They’ve been getting by on being Not Republican and marginalizing everyone who disagrees as racist/hateful/spiteful/whatever. But now they’ve touched a nerve on a universal issue, and all these semi-liberal or “open minded” people who were letting everything the Obama administration did slide are suddenly realizing they’re the ones being called crazy or a paid shill when they stand up against this healthcare disaster.

Part of me is thinking, great nothing will sink Obama and the Dems faster than to keep spewing venom at every opponent not realizing it’s the average citizen now who’s getting hit with it. But another part of me thinks of all these people who voted for Obama and are now having their eyes opened—-what did they expect?

Barney Frank has represented his district since 1981. He has faced no serious opposition since then. Is there no one better in Massachusetts to run against him? Does he please his constituents so well?
