Friend Says Alexis Was Liberal, Supported Obama

From Breitbart:

FRIEND: Navy Yard Shooter Liberal, Supported Obama

By John Nolte | September 17, 2013

Tuesday, on CNN’s "The Lead with Jake Tapper," Michael Ritrovato spoke at length about his friend, suspected Navy Yard shooter Aaron Alexis. After expressing his condolences to the victims and their families, Ritrovato then expressed his shock over the actions of a man he described as being "like a brother to me" and a "good-natured guy."

Ritrovato went on to explain that two of them had a close relationship based in part on their differences, specifically race and politics. Alexis was black, Ritrovato is white. Ritrovato described himself as conservative and Alexis is "more of a liberal type" who supported Barack Obama:

I would say things like, ‘You know, you are my brother from another mother.’ And he would say things like, ‘You’re my Italian mafia guy from New York.’ So we had things we joked about: Aaron wasn’t conservative like I am. He was more of a liberal type; he wasn’t happy with the former [Bush] administration. He was more happy with this [the Obama] administration — as far as presidential administrations…

We are a little surprised that CNN didn’t edit out this revelation. Maybe it’s because of Jake Tapper. But this sure isn’t getting much attention from the news media.

But imagine if he had said he was a conservative and he didn’t like Obama. Heck, imagine the firestorm if he had said he listened to conservative talk radio.

But, instead, we get stories like this, from the Politico:

Friend: Aaron Alexis wanted to leave U.S.

By LUCY MCCALMONT | September 17, 2013

Aaron Alexis, 34, who has been identified as the gunman in Monday’s shooting at the Washington Navy Yard, was “very frustrated with the government” regarding payment for a contract trip, which led him to make statements about “how he wanted to move out of America,” a friend said Tuesday.

“And I know he expressed a lot of frustration and a lot towards that. That’s when I first started hearing statements about how he wanted to move out of America. He was very frustrated with the government and how as a veteran he didn’t feel like he was getting treated right or fairly,” said Kristi Suthamtewakul to CNN’s “New Day." …

In which they seem to be trying to make him sound like an anti-government conservative.

So, you mean godless, moral-relativistic liberalism CAUSED this incident? Background checks should include political affiliation, and liberal democrats ought to be disqualified.

Just like the Gabby Giffords shooter, Jared Lee Loughner, a liberal and favorite book was Communist Manifesto.

Christopher Dorner, the rogue cop, was an Obama supporter.

Ariel Castro, the Cleveland kidnapper, registered democrat.

Seung-Hui Cho, the Virginia Tech shooter, killed 32 people. Hated George W. Bush.

James Holmes, the Colorado theater shooter, killed 12, part of Occupied Wall Street.

John Allen Muhammad, the D.C. Sniper, was initially reported to be a WHITE MAN, same as the Boston Marathon Bombers, and the Navy Yard shooter. (gee how can the media be so wrong so often?) Colorado shooter had similar name to Tea Party member, and of course Tea Party was blamed.

No wonder democrats are quick to blame video games and guns (and YouTube videos), they don’t want anyone to know the murderers are democrats!

CNN has been a miserable failure on reporting this. Pretending he was mentally unstable when none of his friends who spoke saw anything wrong, but a good person. He was not hungry or down on his luck. People don’t become schizoid at 34.

His friends had a job at a restaurant with his buddist friends and they were feeding and taking care of him.

The one white guy who said this, earlier said that he saw nothing wrong with him enjoying guns or violent video games, because he and his own children enjoyed going to the gun range.

And we can’t put him with the paranoid autistic elementary school kid whose mother was a drunk and crazy about guns.

The entire “mental” excuse is the media’s excuse to say there are too many people with mental problems that have guns. They want to take gun rights away.

He went to North Virginia to a firing range and then bought a gun before carrying this out.

He is no different than the DC snipers, who enjoyed their hobby. He had a history of violence and being hot headed, enjoyed violent video games and no doubt got bored with the games and had to move up to something more stimulating. What better way for him to go doing what he enjoyed most, violence and using weapons in a cowardly way to bully people or shoot their cars up.
