I have had the opportunity to have an at length conversation with one of my suppliers when he came to visit a week ago. I have often wondered how China has been able to develop such an ability to “buy” US debt.

He explained that as a rule the Chinese though they have the opportunity to use, do not understand credit cards. They cannot relate to credit in that manner, preferring to save and use a pay as you go model. Chinese banks are “flush” with cash.

Something else to note.. much like the laying of a claim model in the early history of the US, the property there becomes leased for 70 years, and in their case then supposedly reverts back to government ownership. They have yet to reach the end of one of these cycles and are concerned about the stripping of natural resources, etc.. from the land.

Though this might be speaking the obvious, they are in the midst of their own industrial / frontier/ Claim staking time in their development still. Yet they have all the destructive abilities of modern technology to do so faster. It is a matter of survival to continue unabated. I doubt they would have ANY thing to do with der Fuhrer Obama’s master plan short of the spontaneous ignition of Beijing.

Cap and Tax has been postponed until September in the Senate.

That doesn’t mean it’s dead, but is at least seems to be an indication the the Senate isn’t going to force through the country killing weather fantasy tax bill.

There are a lot more scientists who say global warming is bovine excrement then support it. What do you say about the cooling trend we’ve been in since the turn of the century? Where does that fit it with your scenario? Oh I know, that’s “Climate Change”.

How about the “endangered” polar bears? Fact: there are more of them now then ever before. Are you old enough to remember the big flap when the Alaska pipeline was being built about how it would destroy all the wildlife in the area, particularly the caribou? Fact: the herd is over twenty times larger than before the pipeline was built and they tend to hang out around the it, something to do with the warmth of the oil flowing through it. They freakin’ love it.

If you’re old enough to remember that then do you remember the late 70′s particularly 1976 – 1979 when we had some of the worst winter weather on record and the scientists were worried about the earth was cooling and a new ice age was coming? Weather is cyclic, always was, always will be and man can’t change it. I’m more afraid of a volcano erupting and spewing millions of tons of particulates in the air causing a cool down, you should be too.
