Gallup: Conservatives At Record Numbers

From a sorely annoyed Gallup:

In 2010, Conservatives Still Outnumber Moderates, Liberals

Last year’s increase in conservatism among independents is holding

June 25, 2010

PRINCETON, NJ — Conservatives have maintained their leading position among U.S. ideological groups in the first half of 2010. Gallup finds 42% of Americans describing themselves as either very conservative or conservative. This is up slightly from the 40% seen for all of 2009 and contrasts with the 20% calling themselves liberal or very liberal.

So why does the article’s sub headline say “holding” rather than increasing?

The 2010 results are based on eight Gallup and USA Today/Gallup surveys conducted from January through June, encompassing interviews with more than 8,000 U.S. adults. The 42% identifying as conservative represents a continuation of the slight but statistically significant edge conservatives achieved over moderates in 2009. Should that figure hold for all of 2010, it would represent the highest annual percentage identifying as conservative in Gallup’s history of measuring ideology with this wording, dating to 1992

Bottom Line

The ideological orientation of Americans seen thus far in 2010 would represent a record-high level of conservatism (since at least 1992) if it is maintained for the full year. This follows an increase in the percentage of conservatives in 2009 that was fueled by heightened conservatism among independents, a pattern that continues today.

So the cloud of Obama’s destruction of the nation may have a silver lining after all. He is minting conservatives at a record number.

Let’s hope that November is not too late.

I keep saying the same thing “I hope November is not too late” especially with the way he(Obama) has decided to push down on the gas peddle to initiate the radical agenda items of Crap-n-Tax and God only knows what else, without any Congrssional approval or voting.

Barry knows the vast majority of people in this country are more conservative than liberal which is why he has to circumvent the Constitution in order to get any “Leftwing” agenda items to move forward. Sadly the one-party media continues to carry the water for the destruction of our Great Nation all the while they have no ability to stop, because they are essentially the reason Barry was able to attain his current office. I wonder if anyone that voted for Barry, thinking this will wash away their guilt, has come to realize what a huge mistake they had made??

From now until November, this country is in great peril. The criminals will do anything, ANYTHING.

Consider just so far this year:
    – deliberately turned the BP oil spill into an environmental catastrophe
    – now refusing to acknowledge the judges ruling about offshore drilling
    – the fabricated McChrysal political theatre
    – the rumors about amnesty by executive order…who will be surpised if he tries it. And if he does….the illegals will vote in the millions….and multiple times. It will take years for courts to overturn it.
    – the 2000 page takeover of the financial services industry in the works
    – rumors about cramming Crap and Tax in between November and January
    – the biggest American fleet ever just sailed thru the Suez canal, joined by an Israeli warship. Don’t doubt for a second that the Moron would bomb Iran if he concluded that is what he needs to do to stay in power. It’s just the McChrystal movie times a hundred. In fact, McChrystal might have been a trial run to see whether conservative pavlov dogs would salute. They did.

The risk will be even greater in 2012.

It looks like governing against the will of the people has turned a few heads.
