Gallup Daily: Obama Job Approval

Each result is based on a three-day rolling average

Gallup tracks daily the percentage of Americans who approve or disapprove of the job Barack Obama is doing as president. Results are based on telephone interviews with approximately 1,500 national adults; Margin of error is ±3 percentage points.

Maybe we are missing it, but we couldn’t find any actual article on the Gallup site about Mr. Obama’s latest daily approval numbers on their site. They simply have posted the chart and boilerplate text above.

Apparently, Gallup does not think that both Obama’s approval and disapproval ratings being at record lows is newsworthy.

    There’s a catch.

I believe the 39% number. It might actually be lower.

But the catch is that 39% isn’t the number of people who will vote for him.

A lot of people who disapprove will still vote for him because they can’t bring themselves to vote for a Republican. As disappointed as they are that he hasn’t given them free cars and houses yet, they still believe their best chance to get what you’ve got is to sell their votes to Little Lenin again.

The only poll that matters is held on a Tuesday in November. Unfortunately, Democrats are over sampled in that poll too.

As a very smart commenter said a while back:

I’m willing to bet Gallup is going to be audited by our friends at the Infernal Revenue Service. I can’t imagine the boy king tolerating them disseminating information like this.

    Heads will roll!
