Mayor Adams is a self-indulgent pervert (probably child molester) who couldn’t control his decadent sexual appetites. But just the fact that he was screwing his 18 year old intern should be enough to force him out of office. Seriously, how do you trust a politician with so little self-control and who has already lied to the public?

First, I have to say I was surprised to see the party affiliation mentioned.

I don’t suppose there’s any way a private citizen can call for a criminal investigation of the possible (or probable, I’d say) occurrence of statutory rape?

I mean, with the help of the media he’ll probably avoid being tried in the court of public opinion, so is there any way to get him into the court of law?

Here’s a thought challenge: pretend it’s a 45 year old Republican mayor and an 18 year old girl, and try to imagine the tone and volume of the story staying that even and matter-of-fact.

Nothing but the bare facts and some quotes are reported here, and quite un-emotively, even though many are calling for this man’s resignation. They act like it’s no biggie, these things happen. We shouldn’t be upset. They’d never report on the matter in this way if the story were as I describe it above.

Ok this guy is the Mayor of Portland a wee 45 min drive from me. He is a jerk, was a jerk before he ran for mayor. Would NOT be mayor if he was honest about his little trist with an intern when asked.

Portland politics is a joke in Oregon and it appears it will stay that way.

The thought of this predator’s scheme to seduce the boy makes me ill. “Hi little boy, when do you turn eighteen?” Exactly how and in what context would a grown man seek to learn about, or ask, the age of the boy? “Are you eighteen yet? Because I’d really like to —— your young —–.” Well, having lived in Portland, I’m sure they all figure it quite normal. It’s ok, he didn’t physically exploit the boy until the kid turned eighteen. As he lined up the minor for his future conquest, I’m sure he felt nothing but love for the boy. A love obviously reciprocated by a well informed and mentally healthy man child. How beautiful. I am shocked that a dirty malicious Republican would try to destroy the memory of their love. What a disgusting example of dirty trick campaigning. How low can those mean spirited Republicans go in their quest to foment hatred?
