Gore Accused Of Sex Misconduct In 2006

From a scrambling Associated Press:

Ore. woman accused Gore of sex misconduct in 2006

June 23, 2010

PORTLAND, Ore. — A Portland massage therapist accused former Vice President Al Gore of "unwanted sexual contact" at a hotel during an October 2006 visit, but no charges were filed due to lack of evidence, law officials said Wednesday.

An attorney representing the woman contacted police in late 2006, said Multnomah County District Attorney Michael Schrunk. Schrunk said the woman — who has not been identified — refused to be interviewed by detectives and did not want the investigation to proceed.

Which certainly suggests that some kind of settlement might have been reached. But perhaps it was not enough to keep her quiet for the long run:

The woman, however, contacted police in January 2009 and gave a statement, saying Gore tried to have sex with her during an appointment at the upscale downtown Hotel Lucia, where Gore was reportedly registered as "Mr. Stone."

Why would Mr. Gore use a pseudonym just to get a harmless massage? And "Mr. Stone"? We thought he was famous for being wooden?

The National Enquirer first reported the allegations Wednesday, identifying the accuser as a 54-year-old woman.

How the mighty have fallen. If Mr. Gore were still seen as a viable Democrat candidate, the Associated Press and the rest of our one party media would have never picked up a story that originated in the National Enquirer. (Cf. Mr. John Edwards and Ms. Rielle Hunter.)

Gore family spokeswoman Kalee Kreider said the former vice president has no comment

How peculiar.

A police report prepared in 2007 said the alleged incident occurred Oct. 24, 2006. Gore was in Portland to deliver a speech on climate change.

The woman, according to the report, canceled appointments with detectives on Dec. 21 and 26 of that year. Her attorney canceled another meeting scheduled for Jan. 4 and said the matter would be handled civilly.

Handling the matter “civilly” sure sounds like a ‘settlement’ to our ears.

"This case is exceptionally cleared as (the woman) refuses to cooperate with the investigation or even report a crime," the report states.

The case reopened in January 2009. Detectives interviewed the woman but determined there was insufficient evidence to support the allegations, Portland police said in a news release.

The AP seems to be ignoring the latest update from the National Enquirer, which quotes the local DA Michael Schrunk as saying: "If the complainant and the Portland Police Bureau wish to pursue the possibility of a criminal prosecution, additional investigation by the Bureau will be necessary and will be discussed with the Portland Police Bureau."

In a transcript of the interview released by police, the massage therapist said she had an appointment with "Mr. Stone" at 10:30 p.m. but the hotel’s front desk told her he wouldn’t be available until 11 p.m. When she knocked on the door, Al Gore opened it, and when she asked what she should call him, he replied to "Call me Al," the woman told police.

She said she was doing requested abdominal work on Gore when he started to moan and demanded she go lower.

"I was shocked, and I did not massage beyond what is considered a safe, nonsexual area of the abdomen," she said. "He further insisted and acted angry, becoming verbally sharp and loud.

"I went into much deeper shock as I realized it appeared he was demanding sexual favors or sexual behaviors."

The woman said Gore grabbed her hand and shoved it toward his pubic area. She alleged he later tried to have sex with her and began caressing her before she squirmed out of his grasp.

"I did not immediately call the police as I feared being made into a public spectacle and my reputation being destroyed," she said.

Well, this woman was undoubtedly right to be concerned about her reputation. Just ask any of Mr. Clinton’s “bimbos.”

"I was not sure what to tell them and was concerned my story would not be believed since there was no DNA evidence from a completed act of rape. I did not even know what to call what had happened to me."

Detective Mary Wheat, a Portland police spokeswoman, said the woman contacted detectives this month and asked for a copy of her statement. The woman, according to Wheat, said she planned to take her case to the media.

Funny, how the AP seems to be trying to cover for Mr. Gore and to be making the accuser sound like a publicity hound or gold digger. We thought it was a fundamental tenet of liberal doctrine that women never lie about rape or sexual harassment.

Also note that the AP did not include the minor detail that, according to the records, Mr. Gore had paid $540 for his ‘massage’ session.

That would seem to be quite a hefty fee for just a simple massage.

  1. Chuckk says:

Gore had to pay for his session. His boss got his for free. Clearly Clinton was more qualified to be president than Gore.

Apparently Gore was upset that this girl didn’t realize exactly who he was! The nerve of that peon! Frankly, she isn’t the only one who has suffered the unwanted advances of this narcissistic pud, and he thought she owed him “favors” because he was paying her for a service. Kind of like his global warming scam, only we are paying him to screw us. He is, of course, a world class huckster, a flim flam artist, a hypocrite, a thief and a monumental liar. And I don’t really care for him either. Remind me to not like him tomorrow too, would you? Hey, thanks.

“She said she was doing requested abdominal work on Gore when he started to moan and demanded she go lower.”

Reminds me of the term Rush coined regarding the media’s reaction to Gorbachev… the “Gorbasm”. I think we just found another application.

A Gore in the hand is worth two in the bush.

“Gore grabbed her hand and shoved it toward his pubic area…. and began caressing her….”

Ah-ha! See there! Bush did it.

Bush had a hand in it.

Or the hand had a bush in it.

While on the other hand the gore hand caressed the other bush while the other hand grabbed the hand that picked a peach.

Ergo both Bushes had a hand in it and should be impeached.

I knew AP would get to the bottom of it.

    Someone’s laughing, Lord, kumbaya.

    Someone’s crying, Lord, kumbaya.

  5. GetBackJack says:

The ‘girl’ in question is 54.

Professional masseuse, cleared by the Hotel as a Professional and not a call girl, and on the Concierge list of services available, much like a hotel doctor.

And she has ‘evidence’ of how excited he was to get a ‘massage’. She’s kept that evidence hanging up in a closet, and now with an attorney, since Al came at her (sorry) like – quote – a drunken poodle – close quote.

A beached whale with a blow hole. Egad.

HAHAHA, Ok, GBJ, and Petronius, I’m laughing. Laughing through my gagging, it’s true, but laughing just the same. Gad what nightmare fodder. Foxnews.com has an even more graphic account if you want to gross yourself out completely. The topper is the music he was playing: Pink’s “Dear Mr. President”.

    • Mithrandir says:

I still have a hard time believing a massage therapist (slightly more credibility than a prostitute) in a room with the shades drawn with a very famous, rich, and 1/2 naked Nobel Prize winner ( I know it was not deserved) former Senator, Vice-President, and Presidential candidate.

Decided there wasn’t any wrong doing…..

3 years later, comes with very scripted, acutely detailed description of events, even listing the color of his clothes, collar open, long sleeved shirt…… Come on man! You can’t be this against liberals to believe any of this is true.

Believe Mr. Gore’s aids messed up and called a REAL massage therapist. If your paying that kind of money, that late at night you are not expecting a real massage.

  7. wardmama4 says:

    Two salient points here:
    1) We now know why Clinton chose Gore – birds of a feather so to speak.
    2) This is just a vast right wing conspiracy extremist plot to shut down the vital and oh so necessary to save gaia from utter and complete distruction in the next 5,10,20 years (depending on how fast my transfers to off shore trust fund accounts occur) legislation known as cap & trade (or for those of with brains C(r)ap & Tax).

    spot on, Steve.

This means the msm is still 100% behind the Moron, since the saintly firebrand Al Toad has carried the water for the kooks even since the country dodged a bullet in 2000.

Since the bullet is firmly lodged a millimeter from the heart, the slaveys are rallying behind the shooter.

So much for those geniuses jumping ship.

  9. Chuckk says:

Gore’s behavior was brought on by global warming.

  10. k012957 says:

In this case, I don’t think there will be a “happy ending.”

  11. Mithrandir says:

If women DON’T REPORT MISCONDUCT IMMEDIATELY, I have a very hard time believing them.

Even if they report it on time, (Duke LaCrosse case) I still think there is cause for skepticism.

Women seem to like to lie for a number of different reasons:
~Duke LaCrosse case, she was drunk, needed money.
    ~Ben Rothlisburger -Gold Diggers
~Clarence Thomas – Keep him from the Supreme Court

    You see? ? ?

    • proreason says:

I’m going to give you a bit of free advice Mith.

If you want to be the last person in your lineage, cling to that theory.

    • Mithrandir says:

I don’t care if it is Al Gore, this woman seems VERY prepared to give her statement to the police, and it sounded very rehearsed and organized. Oh, and 3 YEARS LATER don’t forget.

Oh, it’s not about money, it’s not because he is famous….um, YES all of it is.

I feel sorry for Al Gore on this one, he is getting the shake-down now. The statute of limitation claims made by women should be reduced to 2 friggin weeks, not 3-5 years as it is now. If it’s such a terrible thing, claim it right away, not wait for legal advice and recall a made-up story that Gore, in his defense, probably doesn’t remember anyway.

That is pro reason, what were you thinking?

    • proreason says:

It’a a shakedown, but Gore is a slimeball anyway.

But Mith, making a point by calling women blanket liars isn’t a strategy for success in life.

      Listen to yourself.
