Gov’t Union Wants Boycott Of WI, FL, OH

From the Politico:

Union to employees: Boycott states

Federal employees in Chicago are being asked to skip nights out on the town and rethink that trip to Disney World or the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The freeze on federal workers’ salaries and likely additional spending cuts from Congress have union officials telling employees at the Environmental Protection Agency and other agencies in the Chicago area to hunker down.

“With the freeze on Federal employees salaries for at least two years and the rising cost of necessities, we are recommending to the employees we represent that they put off all discretionary spending at local restaurants and stores, delay their vacations and eliminate all unnecessary expenses so they can build up their savings,” John O’Grady, president of a Chicago-based union that represents EPA employees, said Thursday in a statement.

If they must vacation, the union and other branches of the American Federation of Government Employees suggest government employees boycott states that have taken steps to limit the power of organized labor.

“In a show of solidarity with our brothers and sisters, we are also recommending that any employees that do vacation, boycott those states that have taken anti-labor or anti-union positions such as Florida, Ohio and Wisconsin,” the AFGE statement said.

“The union anticipates more budget battles to come and even more draconian budget cuts to occur,” O’Grady said.

We really are in the middle of a civil war. But our side refuses to recognize that.

Maybe it’s time for the so-called rich to begin fighting back. For starters, maybe everybody with a business should begin to fire Obama supporters — any and all Democrats — in their employment.

Why not? Why support people who are trying to destroy you?

If the roles were reversed, you know they would do the same. In fact, they are effectively doing the same thing, each and every day.

Any company that hires Democrats deserves its fate.

One more thing that unions should be legally barred from doing.
And one more straw straining the camel’s spine.

Maybe the unions should boycott Wash DC as well as its limitations on public collective bargaining put WI and FL to shame.

Someone sent this to me a couple years ago and I saved it. It’s very appropriate I think.

As the CEO of this organization, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barrack Obama is our President and that our taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way. To compensate for these increases, our prices would have to increase by about 10%.

But since we cannot increase our prices right now due to the dismal state of the economy, we will have to lay off six of our employees instead. This has really been bothering me, since I believe we are family here, and I didn’t know how to choose who would have to go.

So, this is what I did. I walked through our parking lot and found six “Obama For Change” bumper stickers on our employees’ cars and have decided these folks will be the ones to let go. I can’t think of a more fair way to approach this problem. They voted for change; I gave it to them.

I will see the rest of you at the annual company picnic.

I haven’t had a raise in four years myself, but I’m grateful to be employed.

I suppose that means I should be boycotting or protesting someone, and yet…

As Obama said, “Punish your enemies, and reward your friends.”…even if it’s against your fellow Americans exercising their Constitutional rights to decide how they want to live and work.

This is more than a cold war, it’s an antagonism war that doesn’t have the spark to push it over the edge. (Although the media keeps trying!)

    • Rusty Shackleford says:

Mith, you struck a nerve there. Above all else, if chairman Obie has any skills at all, it’s in the area of how to be a successful antagonist; To get under people’s skin, irritate and aggravate without actually having it erupt into anything, except in the desired fashion. He knows that conservatives are much better behaved, more intelligent, less emotionally motivated, which is not to say they are unemotional. (As in my own case, I am furious but I am also smart enough to know that there’s a way to go about defeating this clown without resorting to violence.)

But by saying this an “antagonism war” you have squarely struck the nail on the head. It is reminiscent of the amateur hour of the 1960’s when hippies were all about saving their asses and not wanting to go to Vietnam, disguised as some “peace movement”. (When the draft ended, 90-95% of the “peace protestors” went back into the woodwork.)

But now it’s been co-opted by the socialists in a very big way. They are using any/all “arguments” against the established method of governing this nation and flailing it. They have taken the Constitution and used it to clean the litter box. The greenies and other environmental whackos as well as anyone who agrees that our nation is bad/evil/misguided, etc, is being utilized by the socialists to achieve a dictatorial state.

Chairman Obie, by constantly poking at the conservative base to see what gets us riled, uses it as a barometer as to where to strike the hardest and deepest. And, you’ll note, that he, and his co-opted serviles do it at midnight behind closed doors, etc. for maximum effect. In other words, to royally piss off the conservatives. Such things as the middle finger, the bust of Churchill, etc., etc., etc. All the actions of a petulant child who knows how to piss people off. THAT is why Soros wanted him to be president.

“THAT is why Soros wanted him to be president.”

You’re onto something with that, Rusty. A day doesn’t go by without the boy king or one of his playmates poking at the sores.
