Obama-Care Signs On Govt Vehicles

Some Boulder County residents said their afternoon at the Louisville Labor Day Parade [in Louisville, CO] turned sour Monday when a Regional Transportation District bus and a U.S. Postal Service mail truck crawled along the route bearing posters supporting President Barack Obama’s health-care plan and labor unions.

“They were basically supporting ‘ObamaCare,’” Ted Hine said afterward. “That’s not what public funds should be used for.”

The signs, which read “health care can’t wait,” and “no more business as usual,” were posted along with other banners supporting the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations — a national trade union center — and the Employee Free Choice Act, a bill that would create a new system for organizing unions.

Hine, who opposes the federal health care plan, said the signs made his “blood pressure rise” because they were being displayed on public property…

Al DeSarro, a regional spokesman for the U.S. Postal Service, said he would investigate the complaints.

“We don’t present any type of political message on our postal-owned vehicles in any way,” DeSarro said. “That must have been some type of misunderstanding.”

DeSarro said it’s not unusual for postal equipment to show up in local parades, and that is an allowed use of equipment when it’s authorized by the postal workers’ union. But, he said it’s never OK to have political messages attached to government property.

“It’s likely here this is just a mistake and someone just did not know,” DeSarro said.

He said the responsible person from the post office would be “counseled” about the apparent infraction.

“It’s something we definitely are pretty strict about,” he said. “This won’t happen again.”

A spokesman for RTD could not be reached for comment Monday.

Government unions. You’ve got to love them.

Or else.

    Typical ugliness from insecure unions and their advocates. If the public was really for enslavement via-Gov’t run healthcare the sloganeering wouldn’t be necessary.

    We gotta keep on fighting these punks however.

    And why not?

    Obamy owns the government, doesn’t he? He won.

    But the confident boy king isn’t satisfied. He wants to own you too!

    But just as a small step toward owning the world.

    It may be time to get one of those gubamint hand-outs jobs for yourself.

    After 9/11 the post office sold God Bless America teddy bears and had to stop because of freedom of religion, So this would be illegal too. Defamation of federal property
