O K. Let’s think about this a minute. I mean, Miami, already. Just how bad would this be? Next up, San Francisco. Or Berzerkely, earth quakes and all. Thinkk of the potential.

“You’ll have to ask Ida Knowe.”

“Ida Knowe. Who the hell is Ida Knowe?”, I asked.

“You know, the broad that’s livin’ with us. Ida Knowe.”, he replied.

“You mean Nanni?!” I said.

In a flash, he comes back with, “I don’t know who Nanni is. All I can tell you is when I ask, “Where’s the remote or anything else, she says…

“I Dunno Know”.

Ya gotta love that.

The personal burden of guilt borne by the Liberal must be crushing. The Liberal must feel tremendous guilt when he is confronted with so much social injustice, with the world’s poor, with the needy, the ragged, the starving, the downtrodden and oppressed, with the underprivileged, the unemployed, with so many victims of every imaginable category of discrimination, with the huddled masses begging for free nationalized health care, with the wretched refuse demanding affordable housing, with millions of undocumented workers in need of documents, with the millions of young females yearning for abortion on demand, with so many young males crying out for sex without responsibility, with so many hapless victims of Hurricane Katrina, with so many innocent victims of torture, with so many criminals in need of rehabilitation, with all of the moochers, freeloaders, slackers, deadbeats, vandals, and looters demanding a wider place at the public trough. When faced with so much need––and when “to each according to his need” is your only philosophy––the depth, width, and breadth of guilt felt by the Liberal must become boundless.

Clearly for many Liberals the personal burden of guilt is too much, transcending every positive value, transcending life itself, turning so many Liberals into self-haters and life-haters. Because “to each according to his need” is their creed, they cannot remain idle. They must do something. They must have new government programs; they must redistribute to the needy the surplus wealth of the privileged and more fortunate classes of citizens (i.e., expropriate at the point of a gun the property created by hard-working, prudent, and law-abiding taxpayers, employers, producers, and investors). They must have public show trials and Truth and Reconciliation Commissions to mitigate the nation’s guilt over this-that-or-the-other-thing. They must apologize endlessly to foreigners, turning the other cheek with a vengeance, wallowing in their nation’s obsequiousness.

They cannot simply accept the world as it is. They cannot accept the fact that life is sometimes hard, or that fate is sometimes tragic, or that inequality is the normal condition of mankind, or that some people are never up to the mark, or that war is sometimes hell. Since they are anti-religious, they can never pray, “Thy will be done.” They can never leave well enough alone. For the Liberal the world must always remain an ugly place, where needs and the needy are infinite, where there are too many wrongs to be made right, where inequalities always abound, where the malice/greed/racism of the hated white reactionaries is always rampant and demanding correction, and where the Liberal’s work of hope, change, power, plunder, and destruction is never accomplished. It’s a tough life, but somebody’s got to do it.

I have also seen this in my own life. My brother in law is a hardcore democrat and he is a very angry, cynical person and he is never happy. I look at me, my father, and my brothers, we are all republicans and all happy. It doesn’t take a study to know that, I guess.

If you are a young liberal nitwit:

- everything is relative, so you don’t even know what is right or wrong
- your opinions are force fed into your brain. You can’t even think for yourself
- the approved social interactions that have been force fed into your brain are self-destructive and down deep, you know it (homosexuality, promiscuity, sex without responsibility, obamabotism, etc.)
- you think everything must be done for you. Your life is in the governments hand’s, not your own.
- the most important thing is to be cool, but what it takes to be cool changes day by day
- your parents think you are a nut

But if you are an old conservative:

- you know what is right and wrong and don’t mind saying it
- you know there are things you can do to impact your situation and that you will come out of whatever problems you face.
- the only outside powers you are depending on are God and your spouse, and you know they both love you
- you gave up being cool long ago, and it’s the most free feeling in the world
- you know your kids secretly admire you

So no surprise who the happier people are.
