Bravo canary! Your last sentence says it best—and it makes me wonder why the U.S. even tries to establish a democracy in a region that has been doing just this for years. Perhaps if we sit back long enough they'll just kill each other.

(I know this really isn't an option, if you believe, as do I, that terrorism's cradle is the Middle East.)

........and we have more of the Obama denial of the word "Terrorism" or "Terrorist".

Where are the polls proving that the sympathy of Americans lie with Hasan and the Terrorists?

If there was any way they could distort a question to get anything close to 50% "approving" of diversity, the poll would be plastered all over the headlines and be the lead story in MSM broadcasts for weeks.

But if they took a poll, and they won't because they know what the answer will be, it would be 80% against Hasan and 80% against everything this government has done about terrorism and in this situation.

When will the people take back this government?

Maybe Americans should take the matters in their own hands, meaning use every legal mean similar to what Southern Poverty Law Center did to Arian Nations in Idaho. It took them one lawsuit for the beating of two bypassers outside Arian Nations compound to send AN to bankruptcy.
We got a whole federal goverment, CIA, FBI, NSA and other entities in here incompetent or unwilling to do their jobs. Maybe simple Americans or private entities should start to follow SPLC example and start suing these mosques for hate crimes. After more than 3000 Americans dead in 2001 and 2009 where the perpetrators were connected directly to the mosque, maybe a judge or jury will find them responsible for hate crimes against Americans.

Has anything actually changed over the last 40 years regarding contacting our enemies?

John "Rambo" Kerry held unauthorized face to face meetings with the VietCong leaders as a commissioned officer. As far as we know - without any disciplinary action by the military. In fact, he is allowed to serve at the highest levels of our government, and almost became president.

How will our nation survive if obvious cases of treason continue to be ignored?

(Deuteronomy, for example, prescribes stoning to death for those who “served other gods and worshipped them.”)

Obama mis-used old testiment scriptures, because he Obama does not understand the bible.

God sent Jesus to save the people who could not be saved by sacrifices, and building alters, and all that. When they were going to stone a woman for adultry, Jesus said he who is without sin, cast the first stone, we are all sinners. He said to obey the ten commandments. He also told the apostles to sell everything and by swords to protect themselves when those that wished to follow the old law and crucify him, to protect themselves. There are inconsistancy's in the bible and it's difficult for anyone to fully grasp.

Jesus said to go to every town, and preach the Word, but if people didn't listen, to leave.

The Koran says to go to every town, and if people don't believe, burn them.

Steven was stoned to death as he was leaving a town, after they rejected the new teachings, by religious nuts following the old law.

The muslims considering eating pork to be a sin. But, Jesus taught that all meat is clean to eat, but not to offend people. I dont' think he meant if you eat pork in front of a muslim they should chop your head off, or our U.S.
soldier that drank water during Rahamadan (sp?) holiday was gunned down by the Afganistan policeman he was training.

America was built for people to have religous freedom, and not killed for their beliefs. Yet, there are 51 countries that are not allowed to practice
Christianity, and America is becoming one of them.

I forgot the exact words Obama used to decribe American as a muslim nation in Cairo speech.

See, what makes me sick of Madonna and some of the liberals, that defend muslims, is that are one of the very reason the muslims hate America.
The Gitmo prisoners don't even like a woman brushing her teeth with bare arms in a commerical, they'll riot, and and what they watch on TV has to be moderated.

There has been slaughtering between moderate and conservative muslims since that Mohammad nut, wrote his hallucinations down. For centuries.

............and we can also add this article to the pot. I'll bet the figure is even higher than the 10% they state.

Imams preach jihad and extremism in 10 percent of the 2,000 mosques in the United States, the FBI estimates.

That sums up the problem facing us as we ponder the meaning of Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan’s slayings of 13 people at Fort Hood, Texas. Given his association with a pro-al-Qaida imam in northern Virginia and his preoccupation with radical Islamic Web sites, it’s clear that the radical element of Islam influenced Hasan.

On the other hand, those who condemn Muslims in general because of the actions of Hasan and others like him are engaging in prejudice that has no place in America. Indeed, such stereotyping sets back the war on terror, because we need moderate Muslims on our side.

The problem is not the Quran, which is no more incendiary than some passages in the Bible. (Deuteronomy, for example, prescribes stoning to death for those who “served other gods and worshipped them.”) The problem is the radical element that uses the Quran as an excuse to engage in terrorism and the failure of many moderate Muslims to condemn the extremists

Thanks for sharing this, Tater.

"Call me old fashioned, but I prefer the idea that sympathy with the enemy is called 'treason' rather than the modern touchy feely idea that it is simply a 'healthy diversity'.”

Bingo. Give that man a Kewpie doll. Hasan is a traitor who has committed an overt act of treason (levying war against the US) and the principal crime here is treason. It's about time somebody said so.

Charging American-citizen terrorists with the crime of treason would serve to alert the American public to the seriousness of our predicament and to the suicidal consequences of our immigration and PC policies. It is precisely for this reason that Hasan will probably NOT be charged with treason.

I don't think it was infiltration, but I agree with you that many senior leaders should be fired over this, including the Joint Chiefs, and the heads of the intelligence agencies.

They let lunatic political correctness override common sense and now 14 people are dead because of it. They should have resigned if they were prevented from arresting Hasan. Even given the traitor in the White House, there is no excuse for their incompetance.

This mistake wais not one made under the duress of combat with an unknowable number of possibilities to sift through and incomplete knowledge of the enemy. They knew exactly who this guy was and they had months if not years to do something about it.

If they aren't fired, they should resign from shame.

The President should also be impeached. If this isn't a high crime, what is?

Why hasn't this mosque in Falls Church, Virginia been torn down? It is a terrorist sanctuary with terrorist ideas and thoughts being exchanged. It will not be torn down because Saudi Arabia funds this criminal sanctuary, that's why!

The left wing asshat constituency in this country had no trouble concocting wild tales of impossible insanity, accusing Bush of being behind 911 (truthers) despite Osama Bin Laden and the ummah's pride in their stealth attack on NY, Washington and Pennsylvania on September 11th.

Here you have real complicity, real dereliction, real guilt on the part of the FBI, Pentagon. Heads should roll (and no, not in the literal Islamic sense).

They knew. They knew he was a jihadi. They knew for a long time. They knew before he bought his guns. And yet they let this time bomb loose in the bosom of America's most strategic home fortress. Every devout Muslim is a soldier of allah. Every devout Muslim is a threat to this nation. This is not rocket science. This is objective reality.

This is the result of infiltration at the highest levels. We need a purge and we need it now.

[From the Associated Press:

AP Sources: Defense Dept worker looked into Hasan

WASHINGTON – U.S. officials say a Pentagon worker on a terrorism task force looked into Fort Hood shooting suspect Nidal Hasan's background months ago, and concluded he did not merit further investigation."

Two officials say the Washington-based task force was notified of communications between Hasan and a radical imam overseas, and the information was turned over to a Defense Criminal Investigative Service employee assigned to the task force.

That worker wrote up an assessment of Hasan after reviewing the Army major's personnel file and the communications.

The disclosure is important because it shows the Defense Department was aware since late last year of Hasan's contacts with the imam...

My friends of "Sweetness & Light", I would like to share an e-mail that I received from a friend:

Written by a JAG eyewitness.

Since I don't know when I'll sleep (it's 4 am now) I'll write what happened (the abbreviated version.....the long one is already part of the investigation with more to come). I'll not write about any part of the investigation that I've learned about since (as a witness I know more than I should since inevitably my JAG brothers and sisters are deeply involved in the investigation). Don't assume that most of the current media accounts are very accurate. They're not. They'll improve with time. Only those of us who were there really know what went down. But as they collate our statements they'll get it right...
