Absolutely true. I’d bet any amount of money H1N1 will be manufactured into another convenient crisis. One to push Barrycare, of course.

Exactly correct. And if that was not the goal, then you would see a lot more concern and a lot more action from the Administration to help create jobs.

Jobs would be the HIGHEST priority of a party that was working for the people, be it Democrat, Republican, or third pary..

But Jobs is about eighteenth on the Obamistration’s list. They spend less than 5% of their time on jobs, and that 5% is making up lies about unemployment. And that is the clearest possible indication of what their true goals are.

Like Beck, Rush, Mark, Sean, and may others are saying….we didn’t give the keys to the safe to American patriots.

And as the truth comes out, expect the counter activity to be feverish. They may come to the conclusion that they have to sieze total power before it’s too late.

Now, watching that piece and noting how he steadfastly clung to the notion of “possible” life on Venus and the terminology he used…it smacked square into the similar language of “global warming” theorists of today. Much as I respect scientists….I also happen to believe they need to get out more.

The fact about climate change are irrelevant to them. All they really care about is that they can declare crisis after crisis, and make the people fearful and needy.

And not only are they not concerned about creating a huge under-class of dependents, that is EXACTLY their strategy. The Global Warming fantasy is just one of the tools they use to make it happen.

I see a lot of postings like yours that say very rationally that something just doesn’t make sense. But it can’t possibly make sense until you see it from their perspective.

For the leaders, they crave power so that they can permanently ensconse themselves as our unassailable rulers.

For the people like the guy you met outside the fast-food restaurant, they simply want something for nothing, and they aren’t smart enough to look ahead, either on a personal basis, or for the socieity as a whole.

Knowing this doesn’t make it any better, but at least you will begin to undertstand the seemingly unexplainable.

Many years ago when I got out of college I went through the nightmare of every liberal arts student and worked at a fast food joint. One of the women there had her husband wait outside at night to pick her up. One evening while I was sweeping up in the parking lot I started talking to him and the conversation turned to work, such as me being a college grad working….well, you know. I asked him about his job and he said, no, he didn’t work because him and his wife tallied up the numbers and for him to work full time at minimum wage would only improve their situation $10 a week…….so he just lived on welfare.

That’s what this will do.

Here’s another thing: temperatures are down right now because the sun is showing few or no sunspots, which means solar activity and output are reduced. A fifty year about of that (Maunder Minimum) brought on the Little Ice Age. We may still be in a short blip, or it could be worse.

Here’s something else: In the Carboniferous Period (360-300 million years ago) the carbon dioxide level was 3 times the “pre-industrial” level and temperatures were exactly the same as today. In the Triassic it was 6 times more and the temperature was 3 degrees (Centigrade) warmer. The Earth survived and kept on. Matter of fact, the recent time period (5 million years) has been one of the colder times in history.

Yet all the research keeps pointing to ever warmer temperature and a hockey stick temperature profile where the warming will go out of control. It’s the same thing over and over It’s cold, but you can’t confuse climate with weather; All the mild temperatures are just a statistical anomaly, etc. It’s like the scientists are determined to hold onto their research dollars and tell them whatever they want to hear…..whatever happened to objectivity?

And think how nicely is segues with the Green Jobs Czar’s statement about whites polluting minority neighborhoods… Just another plan to punish whitey and enrich the dems power base…

When will this insanity stop? I don’t believe we have any chance for reason or recovery. Our government has enslaved the minds of far too many, destroyed the qualities of self-reliance and responsibility and taught generations by example that abhorrent behavior is the norm.
