For Hillary Primary Losses Never Happened

From a dazed and confused Washington Post:

Clinton Says Nothing About Losses

Wednesday, February 13, 2008; Page A22

EL PASO, Feb. 12 — As news of her triple defeat in the Potomac Primary sank in, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton did what has become a specialty in recent weeks: She headed someplace else.

After flying from Virginia to Texas for a rally on Tuesday night, Clinton did not publicly acknowledge, even in passing, that three significant primaries had taken place that day and her campaign had not issued a statement hours after results were announced.

Clinton has made a habit of ignoring contests she loses. On Monday, she cited Louisiana’s large African American population in explaining her defeat there. At other times, her campaign has suggested the results of caucuses in general should be discounted.

But on Tuesday, she did not even do that much.

“You know, there’s a great saying in Texas — you’ve all heard it. ‘All hat and no cattle,’ ” Clinton told a large audience here. “Well, after seven years of George Bush, we need a lot less hat and a lot more cattle.”

She continued, in an apparent swipe at both President Bush and Sen. Barack Obama, the candidate gaining momentum in the Democratic race: “Texas needs a president who actually understands what it’s going to take to turn the economy around, to get us universal health care.”

When Clinton mentioned having differences with Obama over health care and the mortgage crisis, she was booed. Her comments continued past 9:30 p.m. Eastern time, as the polls in Maryland closed and the race was called for Obama, but in the giant arena, with a crowd her campaign estimated at 12,000, it seemed as though the defeat had not happened…

What do expect from a woman who has lived in denial all of her adult (and his adulterous) life? Think how that must have twisted her psyche.

Do we really want someone like that for President?

One has to wonder if she really was well advised to mention this:

“You know, there’s a great saying in Texas — you’ve all heard it. ‘All hat and no cattle,’ ” Clinton told a large audience here.

Is there anyone on the planet with fewer cattle (not cattle futures), than Mrs. Clinton?

Okay, maybe Barack Obama. But he’s the only one.

Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., accepts flowers from Marcos Mancera, 5, at a campaign stop at Don Haskin Arena in El Paso, Texas, Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008.

As usual, the spontaneity of impromptu moments like these in Hillary’s campaign is just so heart-warming.

Meanwhile, backstage Hillary was heard to mutter, “What–Me worry? Now, Ed Rendell almost single-handedly assures that every black vote yet to be cast will go to Obama. When will Jesse Jackson weigh in? How about Sharpton? Farrakhan? Sheila Jackson-Lee? Somebody? Anybody?
I can’t wait until the iceholes start playing the race card.

All hat–no cattle? Where’s all this bulls%^t coming from then?

Hillary is not worried, though she ought to be! She has the Superdelegates and the Democratic political machine lined up for the convention. Even if Barack wins out all of the primaries and leaves her in the dust he WILL NOT get the nomination. He is just doing a concert tour for liberalism. But the downside is that all of those voters for Barack will become disenfranchised and probably not vote in the general election! Too Rich!!!!! ROFLMAO

….”all of those voters for Barack will become disenfranchised and probably not vote in the general election!”

    Tantalizing thought!

‘I did not lose that primary, The Potomac Primary, not once, never.’

  5. Musette

She looks like she might be saying something mean to that little Mariachi.

  6. greasywrench

It looks like a “vast left-wing conspiracy to me”.

“She looks like she might be saying something mean to that little Mariachi”

Poor kid, he’ll be having nightmares for months. Maybe Schillery was scolding him with the ‘All hat and no cattle,’ ” comment. LOL

  8. U NO HOO

Not to give Hillary a hint, but she hasn’t yet pointed out, as far as I know, that BHO is not from Slave stock, unless his mother was Slavic. He is a pure documented African-American. Can’t be called Uncle Tom.

Oh dear are the flowers for me? You are so cute, I could just eat you up!

(in tempo presto) “ding ding ding”
That’s where my twisted mind is at. Seeing democrats screw each other over with their own shady rules is a real thrill. How many times have dems created a self-serving rule only to have it bite them in the arse latter? I believe Hussien is a monster in disguise but we’ll deal with him later. I just want to see Hillary go down so I can (after many years) dance like Fred Astaire.

DEZ , in the flower pic , she is flipping us the bird .

  12. DEZ

Damned if she aint Wire, I missed that.
What should we expect from a tired old moonbat with 2 fat thighs, 2 small breasts and 2 left wings.

  13. DEZ

“Well, after seven years of George Bush, we need a lot less hat and a lot more cattle.”

So we need an old cow in the white house?

GuppyNblue; …”Seeing democrats screw each other over with their own shady rules is a real thrill.”

‘Tis balm for the weary soul! My guess as to what might happen: The HillBilly machine goes into overdrive, Obama isn’t up to the coming onslaught and founders, the superdelegates and party bosses tell Obama, “Step aside, upstart. You haven’t paid your party dues yet so get in line and behave yourself”, and the Democrat party erupts into one humongous pissing match. A wise man once told me, “Dont get into a pissing contest with a skunk.”

I’d really like to see this come to pass.

I’ve noticed the msm has been talking about “superdelegates” recently, introducing this phenomena to the average street lib. All I’ve been hearing from them is this outrage directed at (I’ll censor it a bit) that B, Hillary. This decision to honer the race card or stick with the machine is causing aneurisms throughout my blue hell. What if they win but are severely beaten at the same time? I’m an optimist.

  16. JohnMG

    Guppy…

I guess since the mess of a convention in 1968 (I wasn’t here, I was in northern I-Corps then) the Dems got innovative (hee-hee). But at the same time they couldn’t just put the party bosses out to pasture. After all, it was they who conjured up this cluster%^9#. It (superdelegation) was supposed to be a solution to a problem they thought would never occur. Guess what?!!

Maybe this is one abortion they will object to. In the meantime I’d like to see them take each other out. Blood in the streets! Yesssssss!!

  17. texaspsue

Woops! It seems as though the S.A. Clinton rally sparked some controversy. The Archbishop is not too happy that a pro abortion Candidate spoke at St. Mary’s University.

You know Texas’ motto….”Don’t Mess With Texas”….Hillary. Especially not a church made up of mostly Republican/Conservative Catholics!

  18. patricko

Only $9.50 an hour for minimum wage? Why not $50,000 a year? We’re talking about human dignity ya’ know. What could possibly be wrong with mandating that a high school drop out make $20,000/year to LEARN how to do the most mudane tasks imaginable? I’m sure it wouldn’t the bother guys who have spent two years acheiving a $10/hr rate. No they’d be fine with that.

  19. wirenut

The only good news about the future elections I see . Lib eating lib alive . I hope this goes right into the convention hall . TPS , don’t Texans also have a saying about peeing on someone else’s boots ? Haw !
Both candidates are bum steers , for townsfolk a steer is a bull-calf turned into a gentleman via a sharp edge . This will become a testicle festival and neither candidate has the balls .

Two cheers for Archbishop Gomez. Set me straight on something. Is it true that texas has the only state constitution that allows for a legal separation from the so-called union? If so, and it comes down to it, may I enter. I promise to shut up and be content to stand guard along the border.

  21. Perdido

I have heard that little Mariachi sing in person. He is very talented.

  22. greasywrench

wirenut asked the question - “TPS , don’t Texans also have a saying about peeing on someone else’s boots ?”

I believe it’s “don’t piss down my boot and tell me it’s raining”.

Either way, what it means to me is… “fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice and you can go to hell.”

  23. texaspsue

“Is it true that texas has the only state constitution that allows for a legal separation from the so-called union?”

GuppyNblue………………It is a guaranteed right in the Texas State Constitution that Texas CAN SECEDE from the Union if a sufficient number of TEXANS vote to do so.

“If so, and it comes down to it, may I enter. I promise to shut up and be content to stand guard along the border.”

As far as I’m concerned, all of the people commenting at the site are welcome to be Texans anytime. :-) It’s all in the attitude. Ya know, “Don’t mess with Texas”. LOL

Perdido…………….. I love Mariachi music. There’s a great place downtown SA Texas, “Mi Tierra”, that always has Mariachis playing and is quite atmospheric. A must experience place to eat if you are visiting the Alamo. :-)

  24. texaspsue

Senator John Cornyn (Rep. Texas) has a survey , “tell ‘em what Texans really think”, at his website. John Cornyn says “Not So fast” to the Presidential Candidates that want to claim Texas as their own!

    texaspsue;

This seems like as good a place as any for this..And it says a lot of what I think and feel. A pretty good read.

JohnMG, Good article, except for the last half of the 1st sentence. “as everybody seems to recognize that our next president has to be a lot better than George Bush. ” IMO, there is not a chance that is going to happen. The Democrats seem intent on running one of two candidates that are even less qualified than John Kerry (the least qualified candidate the Democrats had ever ran prior to this race) , as for John McCain, history will of course, decide but at this point, IMO, George Bush clearly looks better.

  27. JohnMG

    pagar;…”George Bush clearly looks better.”

If that’s the case, what is happening? We should be able to field someone who will reverse the trend.
