Hillary To Release Taxes After It’s Too Late
From ABC News:
Clinton Tax Returns to Be Released April 15
Clinton and Obama’s Top Strategists Clash Over Financial Disclosures
By MARY BRUCE
March 2, 2008—Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., is poised to release her tax returns “on or around April 15,” Clinton’s communications director Howard Wolfson said in an exclusive “This Week” debate Sunday morning with David Axelrod, senior campaign adviser to her opponent, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill.
When pressed by Axelrod as to why “Clinton continues to refuse to release her tax returns, as all the other candidates have,” Wolfson asserted that “the tax returns are going to be released around tax time.”
The two top strategists went on to spar over the release of Clinton’s White House records. Axelrod charged that Clinton “refuses to release the documents from the Clinton Library related to her time in the White House, which is the fulcrum of her argument on experience.”
Wolfson, however, asserted the issue was moot.
“Clinton’s schedule as first lady were given over to the president’s representatives for review. That review has been completed. We’ve given the records back over to the archives. They are now back in the archives’ hands. Our say in the process is over, and I assume that they will be releasing them very expeditiously,” he said…
There is simply no other word for all of this but “Clintonian.”
By April 15th Mrs. Clinton will either be long gone from the primary race. Or, Allah forbid, she will still be in it.
If the latter, she will have clawed her way back so dramatically that she will be able to forget about this pledge from a (probably long since dismissed) lackey spokesman.
But the truly Clintonian touch is in picking a date of “on or around April 15,” to make this sound like it is a matter of Mrs. Clinton meeting tax reporting deadlines — just like us mortals.
Please, all of you Republicans in the states that allow open voting in their Democrat primaries this Tuesday, please help put an end to our long national nightmare.
We will deal with Mr. Barack X Obama in due course.

The Devil is in the Details.
Is it mandatory to release tax returns?

The reason you don’t release your income tax form is because you don’t want people to know how much money you are making. By releasing her taxes she would raise more questions than she would answer. She already has answered the tax question by saying it’s none of anyones damned business! ROFLMAO

I coul not disagree with your conclusion more. Texas Republicans need to do as Rush told them and vote for Hillary. She is beating up Obama now in ways that we coul never do. They are spending all of their money as soon as it comes in the door and a nasty convention fight on live TV could lead to an implosion of the party nationwide.
People, do not let your hte for the Clinton’s blind you. The best thing we could hope for is a deadlock in the DNC primary which caues them to fght over FL and MI and every other rule in the book. Let the people see how screwed up the Dem party really is.
Just imagine it for a second: the more the nomination drags on, the more Obama looks like he isn’t a good candidate. Some Dems feel buyers remorse and fall back on Clinton. She wins the nom by a very sligh margin, leading to rioting in the streets of Denver as the kool-aid drinking Obamabots and blacks revolt against what they see as the party getting in the way of their great leaders revolution. The party would not heal from this for a decade and woud allow the Republicans to finally tap into the black vote, which should have been with us for years. This could re-shape the entire poltical landscape in this county.
Vote with your heads and not your hearts, ladies and gentlemen. Don’t let the hate for Hillary blind you and help this nomination contest become one that will go down as the biggest electoral trainwreck in history. Repubs in open primaries need to vote Hillary. As she said, “hold your nose and vote”.

joe1119, expresses my thoughts exactly. No good for America will come from knocking Hilliary out of the race early. Every effort of any Republican at this point should be to force the Democrats to fight long and bitterly among themselves.

Of course the Obama spin on this article will be “Sweetness & Light endorses Obama for the Dem Nomination for President!”

For those Republicans that plan on voting for Hussein in Texas to put an end to Hillary, it looks like he’s encouraging that plan. He’s suggesting that he might appoint some Republicans to his cabinet. Those mentioned were Chuck Hagel (I thought he was retiring) and Richard Lugar, according to the TimesOnline Sunday.

IMO nothing good will come out of this election no matter who is elected. But when we are given the chance to put an end the Clinton’s destructive ambition, we have to take it. I actually don’t care which one is more capable of beating McCain but I think Hillary is the weaker candidate as far as that goes. Remember the high negatives that Carl Rove pointed out about Hillary? She has a well earned stigma of being power hungry and ruthless. She can’t change that with pandering, crying, or scare tactics. It’s a big dark stain on her illusion.
