Hillary Wants Her Name Put In Nomination
From her sub rosa campaign and the San Francisco Chronicle, via YouTube:
Hillary says her backers need to feel ”voices were heard.”

Yet another California campaign fundraiser has produced an unauthorized video making news — this one for Hillary Clinton.
The five minute video clip was posted by SimoFish, a PUMA (as in ”Party Unity My Ass”) backer who attended the New York Senator’s July 31 Bay Area fundraiser.
It begins with a Clinton delegate — cheered on — asking the former First Lady to ”please consider having your name put in nomination” at the Democratic National Convention in Denver.
”I’m asked this question every day,” said Clinton. “What will to happen at the convention with respect to my putting my name in nomination, a roll call vote?”
”I happen to believe we will come out stronger if people believe that their voices were heard,” she tells them. ”That is a very big part of how we come out unified…people want to feel like — OK, it’s a catharsis. We’re here, we did it, and everybody get behind Sen. Obama.”
”Doesn’t work that way,” says the person manning the camera.
Clinton tells the supportive crowd that she has ”done more” and moved faster to support her opponent than many candidates in competitive races.
”I have made it very clear that I’m supporting Sen. Obama…but I think that delegates can decide to do this on their own…they don’t need permission.”
She’s asked — what happens if her name is put in nomination and she wins on the first ballot?
”That is not going to happen,” she says with a laugh. ”What we want to have happen is for Sen. Obama to be nominated by a unified convention of Democrats…and the best way I think to do that is to have a strategy — so that my delgates feel like they’ve had a role and their legitimacy has been validated.”
”It’s as old as Greek drama….there’s a catharsis that is all to the good…then everybody can go, ”OK, great, now we can go out and win.”
”We do not want any Democrat…walking away and saying I’m not happy,” she warns. ”That’s what I’m trying to avoid.”
This all sounds wonderfully entertaining.

If Hillary’s name is put into nomination, Obama might be nominated by acclamation rather than by roll call vote. It’s an old technique designed to give the impression of unity.

Rush nailed this yesterday - what I have been asking since January. WHAT IF OBAMA LOOSES?
So, here’s when you know it’s over - when the DB media starts reporting on “Obama May Loose! Will Cities Burn?” I know because marketwatch sensored my prediction. I sent them a not reminding them to send me an apology when this starts to circulate on CNN & MSNBC.
But Fear Not! There is a Savior Among Us who will lay himself down for the sake of AWWWWLLL uf us. So hereitiz:
Obama’s withdrawl speech. Sweet & short (which will make it comparible to the Gettyburg address no doubt - my leg is tingling already).
“For the good of (pause) (uh) famly (spelled phonetically)”
“For the good of THA (pause) (grab zipper, sway hips) PAAAAAH TAAY” (annunciated like Rerun from the “What’s Happening” TV Show)
“For the good of AWLLL (roar) AMERKUNS (ROARED LOUDER – bend forward, palm on chest, nod head up & down in a cross between Michael Jackson & Reverend Wright fashion).
“I (pause) (uh) (uhm) (uh) (uh-uh-uh) withdraw mycandicy (spelled phonetically) fo’ prezdent (spelled phonetically) off (spelled phonetically) Da Unit-d-states (spelled, phonetically).
“Thank You Denfa (spelled phonetically). I Lufya! (spelled phonetically) Point, bow followed by a little macerana motion.
If he does go to November that he looses by the biggest margin since Reagan beat Mondale.
I’m takin’ bets at 1 & 3 odds. Any takers?
