Holder And DeBlasio ‘Heap Praise’ On Sharpton

From the New York Daily News:

Mayor de Blasio, pols heap praise on Rev. Al Sharpton following FBI informant reveal

Two days after stunning new revelations about his role as an FBI informant, the Rev. Al Sharpton proved Wednesday that he can still draw a crowd – and the praise of powerful politicians. Mayor de Blasio hailed the civil rights activist as a “blessing,” and U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder spoke as well, as Sharpton opened a three-day convention of his National Action Network at a midtown hotel.

The White House said the new details about Sharpton’s cooperation with the FBI would not change President Obama’s plans to give the keynote speech at the gathering on Friday.

Why not? Reverend Sharpton was just ‘community organizing.’

“Rev. Sharpton and the National Action Network have made significant contributions to civil rights efforts, and the president looks forward to appearing at the conference," spokesman Jay Carney said.

In their appearances, Neither de Blasio nor Holder mentioned Monday’s story on The Smoking Gun website which provided stunning new details of how Sharpton helped the feds secretly record mobsters in the 1980s.

"I am proud to stand with Rev Sharpton," de Blasio said to thunderous applause. "Because to borrow a phrase from our youth: Reverend, you’re the real thing."

He sure is.

Some leaders, the mayor added, are "flashes in the pan" but Sharpton "gets more powerful with every passing year."

Just like a disease.

Holder wasn’t as effusive, but he praised the National Action Network. “I have been proud to stand alongside you in supporting efforts to advance the cause of justice,” Holder said…

Such as his efforts to lynch George Zimmerman. Which is just one of the latest of a hundred other examples of Sharpton’s racist vigilantism going back to Tawana Brawley. And bear in mind, Eric Holder is the top law enforcement officer in the nation.

At the National Action Network gathering, many attendees dismissed the latest revelations as old news. "They’re digging up dirt on him," said Shirley Phipps, a National Action Network member since 1995 who is active in the Queens chapter.

"They need to worry about the rats on the subway. This was a great conference and I have nothing but great things to say about him (Sharpton)."

National Action Network member Natasha Riley Apple-White called it a "distraction from the real issues." "Why are they bringing this up now?" she added.

Renee Jackson, a Harlem resident, called the focus on Sharpton’s past "negative.""Nothing has changed. It’s a full house," she said…

And nothing will change as long as the ‘black community’ allows its political leaders to be criminals.
