Holder: No Plans To Investigate Phoenix VA Hospital

From the Weekly Standard:

Eric Holder: No Plans at DOJ to Investigate Secret Waiting Lists and Veteran Deaths at VA Hospitals

By JOHN MCCORMACK | May 13, 2014

Attorney General Eric Holder said Tuesday that the Department of Justice doesn’t have any plans to investigate allegations that veterans placed on secret waiting lists at VA hospitals died while waiting for care.

"Well, obviously these reports if they’re true are unacceptable, and the allegations are being taken very seriously by the administration. But I don’t have any announcements at this time with regard to anything that the Justice Department is doing," Holder told reporters at a press conference…

And by "taken very seriously" Holder means he will ignore the reports.

According to CNN, at least 40 veterans died while waiting for treatment at one VA hospital in Phoenix. Members of Congress have said in recent weeks that the inspector general investigation is inadequate and have called on the DOJ to launch its own investigation…

Now we know exactly how much the Obama administration cares about veterans. And healthcare.

But, to be fair, the Department of Justice has its hands full.

From the Daily Caller:

Dept. Of Justice To Monitor Tuesday’s Nebraska Elections For Civil Rights Violations

By Patrick Howley | May 12, 2014

The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Monday that it will “monitor” polling places in two Nebraska counties during Tuesday Republican primaries for possible civil rights violations. Attorney General Eric Holder’s DOJ will assign monitors to patrol polling places and will send representatives from its embattled civil rights division to enforce civil rights laws…

“The Justice Department announced today that it will monitor elections on May 13, 2014, in Colfax and Douglas Counties, Nebraska, to ensure compliance with the Voting Rights Act and other federal voting rights statutes. The Voting Rights Act prohibits discrimination in the election process on the basis of race, color or membership in a minority language group,” according to DOJ…

And still the Tea Party candidate, Ben Sasse, won. Go figure.

DOJ’s Civil Rights Division is currently trying, through a little-noticed provision, to gain considerably more power to litigate voting rights lawsuits.

As The Daily Caller reported in December, President Obama’s nominee to head the DOJ civil rights division, Debo Adegbile, previously represented cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal during his time at the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. Adegbile’s confirmation was blocked by Republican and Democratic senators.

What a shame Mr. Adegbile sounded perfect for the job!

    Of course not.

Only 40 dead American veterans? Who cares about them?

That’s not even a smidgen of corruption.

  2. 300 girls vs. 40 Veterans

One is theirs, the other, ours. Don’t make me go potty mouth on this ..

Presently, news is Secretary of Defense wants transgenders in the Military. All over main media is Chuck Hagel finds sexual feelings are more important than the medical needs of disabled U.S. Troops and Veterans.

Two other VA hospitals whistleblowers have reported they too have a secret list.

So, shame on the DAV for being the most quiet they’ve ever been. You could say their latest bragging of “one vet” getting full disability after only a 3 year struggle and getting ready for their National Convention in Las Vegas to
be their highlights, but some thing fishy is going on.

Is the non-profit advocate organization being audited?

(Do not confuse them with the DVA or VA who work for the administration)
