Holder: Unprecedented Racism Against Me, Obama

From Breitbart:

Holder: Gohmert Disagreement Example of Unprecedented Racism Against Him and Obama

April 9, 2014

At Al Sharpton’s annual National Action Network Annual convention, Attorney General Eric Holder spoke about civil rights and referenced his back-and-forth at Tuesday’s House Judiciary Committee hearing, with Rep. Louis Gohmert (R-TX)…

"I have been proud to stand along side of you in supporting efforts to advance the cause of justice that has always been at the center of this , this administrations work I am pleased to note that the last five years have been defined by significant strides and lasting reforms, even in the face, even in the face, of unprecedented, unwarranted ugly adversity.

And if you don’t believe that, you look at the way …forget about me… forget about me , you look at the way the Attorney General of the Untied States was treated yesterday by a House committee. Had nothing to do with me what Attorney General has ever had to deal with that kind of treatment? What President has ever had to deal with that kind of treatment "

What a fitting place for Mr. Holder to make his remarks. In ‘the house that racial shakedowns made,’ Sharpton’s National Action Network.

For the record, according to media reports, NAN has been allowed to skirt paying $1.9 million in back taxes and penalties it has owed the IRS since 2006. After it was found to have improperly reported the taxes NAN owed. And according to other reports, the Reverend Al also still owes more than $888,000 in personal debts related to his failed 2004 presidential campaign, as well as more than $100,000 in related debts to the federal government.

Luckily, such minor details aren’t going to keep Mr. Obama from speaking once again at Reverend Al’s annual confab.

From the Washington Examiner:

Obama unconcerned by Al Sharpton’s history with the FBI and mafia

By Joel Gehrke | APRIL 9, 2014

President Obama isn’t worried about the Rev. Al Sharpton’s history as an FBI informant with ties to the mafia, his spokesman said, and doesn’t think that the news makes his impending visit to Sharpton’s National Action Network awkward.

"Rev. Sharpton and the National Action Network have made significant contributions to civil rights efforts, and the President looks forward to appearing at the conference," White House press secretary Jay Carney told reporters during the Wednesday press gaggle.

The New York Daily News says that "Sharpton allegedly became an FBI informant after he was caught on tape with a drug kingpin discussing cocaine deals." …

Still, just as a thought experiment, try to imagine the media’s outrage if a Republican President ever paid tribute to such a criminal person.
