Holder Won’t Appoint Benghazi Special Counsel

From Breitbart:

Exclusive: Holder Says ‘No’ to Special Counsel to Investigate Benghazi

By AWR Hawkins | May 15, 2013

Breitbart News has obtained an exclusive video of Attorney General Eric Holder flatly rejecting the idea of appointing a special counsel to investigate Benghazi.

Filmed on May 15 and provided to Breitbart News by Special Operations Speaks, the video shows Holder emerge from his car and walk towards the Rayburn House Office Building for hearings on the IRS scandal. Holder is clearly asked, "Mr. Holder, will you appoint a Special Counsel to investigate Benghazi?"

In equally clear tones, Holder answers, "No," and disappears into the building.

Again, lest we forget, there was a Special Counsel appointed under Bush for the non scandal of the non outing of the non spy, Valerie Plame. Even though it was known from the start that Richard Armitage leaked her information to Robert Novak.

Meanwhile, we have this from the Washington Examiner:

Eric Holder blasts Rep. Darrell Issa: Your conduct is ‘inappropriate,’ ‘shameful’ and ‘unacceptable’

Charlie Spiering | May 15, 2013

As Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., pressed Attorney General Eric Holder for details about a phone call from Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez, Holder lost his temper.

Holder interrupted Issa’s line of questioning and declared that he would not stop talking. “No, I am not going to stop talking now,” Holder said after Issa tried to ask him a follow-up question.

“Mr. Chairman, would you inform the witness as to the rules of the committee?” Issa asked, speaking over Holder’s protest.

“It is inappropriate and too consistent with the way in which you conduct yourself as a member of Congress,” Holder continued. “It is unacceptable. It is shameful.”

As far as we know, Mr. Holder is still under a Contempt Of Congress warrant over his refusal to release the documents from the ‘Fast & Furious’ scandal. So you have to wonder why Mr. Issa didn’t just order his arrest. Capitol Hill does have a jail, as Nancy Pelosi likes to remind people.

By the way, Mr. Holder said ‘I don’t know’ or some variation 57 times in response to questions from the House Judiciary Committee about the various Obama scandals of the say. Was that not shameless?

Meanwhile, speaking of shamelessness, we also have this from Foreign Policy Magazine:

Will Benghazi furor keep Susan Rice out of the White House?

By John Hudson | May 15, 2013

Insiders with ties to the Obama administration tell The Cable that U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice has become the heir apparent to National Security Advisor Tom Donilon — a post at the epicenter of foreign-policy decision making and arguably more influential than secretary of state, a job for which she withdrew her candidacy last fall amid severe political pressure.

"It’s definitely happening," a source who recently spoke with Rice told The Cable. "She is sure she is coming and so too her husband and closest friends."

"Susan is a very likely candidate to replace him whenever he would choose to leave," agreed Dennis Ross, a former special assistant to President Obama and counselor at the Washington Institute. "She is close to the president, has the credentials, and has a breadth of experience."

What are her qualifications? That she is willing to lie for the cause? But she will no doubt be rewarded in some way for her timely service to Obama’s re-election campaign.

This is good. It confirms Holder’s guilt and culpability, and at the same time tries to plug the volcano under his feet. There’s a lot more eruption to come.

Holder’s statements that Rep. Darryl Issa is “shameful” and “unacceptable” mirror Bill Clinton’s claims that he was “offended” by any and all questions about Monica Lewinsky. The simple, “No, I didn’t do that” is replaced by, “I could never…. You should be ashamed!” Clintonisms.

Holder’s faulty memory is a like a midnight flare, illuminating the landscape of Justice Department corruption and perfidy. He’s shown himself guilty until he proves himself innocent. Lies and ‘bad memory’ destroy the presumption of innocence.

Of course not. (head slap) Can’t have ‘others’ poking around in what really goes on inside the Party.
