House Dem Caucus: F*** The President!

From Roll Call:

Profanity, Anger Spill Over in House Democratic Caucus Meeting

By Anna Palmer
Dec. 9, 2010

The frustration with President Barack Obama over his tax cut compromise was palpable and even profane at Thursday’s House Democratic Caucus meeting.

One unidentified lawmaker went so far as to mutter “f— the president” while Rep. Shelley Berkley was defending the package the president negotiated with Republicans. Berkley confirmed the incident, although she declined to name the specific lawmaker.

“It wasn’t loud,” the Nevada Democrat said. “It was just expressing frustration from a very frustrated Member.”

Still, how times have changed. Just two years ago such a remark might have had an entirely different connotation.

Rep. Jerrold Nadler (N.Y.) was also overheard saying that “we can’t trust him” not to cave to Republicans and extend the tax cuts again in two years, according to a Democratic source.

The anger aimed at the bill was widespread. As Democrats moved to block the bill from coming up on the floor, chants of “Just say no!” could be heard by reporters outside the room

Where is all the talk about the wonderfulness of compromise now?

The Democrats are proving once again that none of them are moderates and that none of them will compromise on anything. They are so used to getting their way, they just can’t imagine such a thing.

Hopefully in two years it won’t be his decision.

chants of “Just say no!” could be heard by reporters outside the room…

Now the Democrats are the party of no? I thought that was a bad thing… being the party of no. Though I don’t ever remember the words being “chanted” by republicans. So nice to see how much more “civil” the discourse has become since Oblamer took power.

And .. invoking Nancy Reagan whilst doing so! Whatta hoot!

Have Jesse and Sharpie started “hate crimes” investigations yet? Saying “F” to Barry surely must be a hate crime.

Has the Congressional Black Caucus started hearings yet in an attempt to expose the guilty party?

I mean after all, Joe Wilson just said “You Lie” to Barry and look how that snippet caused the MSM and loony lefty to melt at the seams in anger.

    • MinnesotaRush says:

Jesse’s gonna give him a pass on it ‘cuz as we all know they got him on an open mic talking about re-arranging o-blah-blah’s lower anatomy .. “cut his nu_s off”.

Barry beat the Libs to the punch on this one.

He should tell them to call the wahhhmbulance.

Conservative media swallows Dem Civil War ruse hook line and sinker !!!

Here’s what you have to believe to swallow it:
    – after little lenin shoves 99% of socialist agenda down our throats in the first 23 months,….
    – in month 24, little lenin reluctantly agrees not to raise top tax bracket 4% on 1% of the country
    – the 4% bracket increase on 1% of the country would never have happened without his support
    – little lenin supporters go ballistic over the non-event, threaten to destroy their party

Oh yeh, that’s what’s happening. Suuuure it is.

    How gullible can you be.

Now the Moron is positiond as the great compromisr….fighting the extreme elements of his own party….finding the middle ground between the extreme left and extrem right….so courageous….the country needs this brave president.

He gave up NOTHING. There was no way taxes were going to be raised. Republicans not only got snookered, they allowed little lenin to sieze the high ground.

    What fools conservatives are.

Total scam. Well, the rage and crack-up on the kook Left is genuine, but Obama’s simply playing it to his strategic advantage. The political theatrics and speculation about a primary are all worthless fantasies.

      – Despite the screaming lunatics, this deal is not just bad, the more pork we learn about, the more it becomes clear it has to be stopped even if the Dems pull the trigger on their hostage.

Essentially this is a trap to make the Tea Party choose priority between their central principles of cutting taxes or spending (even though there’s no tax cut, that’s how the table’s been set).

If we make this deal, we simply secure a mostly stagnate economy as Obama or the Senate stalls any real cuts (or worse, broker more “supply-side” pork just like this deal). In 2012 we’re treated with the same-old class warfare and how the rich pillaged the economy while everyone else stagnated.

Hannity and his bunch reflect alot of the Heart and Soul of America, unfortunately not as much the Mind. The Minds of America know Liberalism better than the they know themselves. Fortunately, Pence and honest Jim DeMint were on yesterday sounding very sharp on this though, so we do have a few allies left for the cavalry.

I don’t even think the basement dwellers are outraged. Why should they be? They get a 2% cut on fica next year (about a grand to most of them), and a two year extension on unemployment welfare. It’s a GREAT deal for them. And of course, their own brackets are not increased. As a side benefit, the deficit is increased by a couple hundred billion (less fica taxes and more unemployment benefits) which shoves the country closer to the brink, which they think means closer to communism. And they still get to play their class warfare card ad infinitum.

You actually have to believe they care more about a minor bracket adjustment on wealthy people, who are going to avoid it anyway, then they do about putting a few more sheckles in their own pockets. Give me a break.

Maybe a few Bernie Sanders idealogue types are upset. There aren’t many of them.

Even Rush has been mostly snookered on this one.

Here’s what will prove the outrage is for show only.

The deal will pass EASILY. Uber class warrior Drolling Barney has already said so.

“You actually have to believe they care more about a minor bracket adjustment on wealthy people, who are going to avoid it anyway, then they do about putting a few more sheckles in their own pockets. Give me a break.”

Well, you can’t paint every Democrat with the same brush. Most are only concerned with maintaining their accumulated power, especially in the Senate sure, but the fringier elements of the House and the “Professional Left” that doesn’t worry about elections are not thinking Political Pragmatism but Political Momentum/Combat.

I never meant to cast the vote in doubt. As soon as there was time for the Progressive Caucus to hear how good of a swindle this really was from Nancy & Bam, and considering that they know they can’t afford to punt it to the next Congress, most were going to vote for it and this will have proven to be posturing. Just remember that the bulk of these kooks still think Obama sold them out on the Public Option (when it was Blue Dog Dems afraid of the elections who killed it and still got shellacked), regardless whether you explain to them that government-run care was still intended to come down the pike a couple years from now after ObamaCare finishes its fantastic success of nuking Private Insurance.

In other words, these are stupid, insane, blind, true believer idealists, who will never be happy or satisfied because they believe in the Big Lie of the Liberal Perfect World. These people are Class Warriors to the end; it’s their leaders who understand that such vitriolic, transparent and public class warfare isn’t a successful strategy unless the circumstances of the narrative and debate are right (which is why they punted this after the election to Christmas). It is not hard for me to believe WHATSOEVER that they simply hate the rich more than they care about any one of their infinitely hopeless causes.

Why? Because taxes are their definitive source of power and continuity. Hatred for Capitalism/big business vis-a-vis the Bush-cuts has been a great deal of the glue holding together the rickety planks of all of the special interests of the modern Liberal movement for the past decade. I believe that is simply the main point that Rush originally was trying to emphasize. It is completely understandable that, given how the table was set for this deal, the Left believes Obama betrayed their one unifying core principle of hatred for competition and productivity. That’s exactly what Obama wants us to think in order to (as you said) take the wind out of the sails of partisanship, or really, the Conservative Movement as it ascends to power next year. Why – because pragmatically Obama knows the best he can hope for regarding his agenda of ‘Managing America’s Decline’ is to keep what’s been accomplished intact, and the best chance he has at doing so is trying to quell the people’s revolt on the ground by politically challenging their priorities and principles (around the margins) with a skin-shedding Triangulation Scam.

The Left is never going to stop being loony and unrealistic about planning or negotiating because they live all live in hopless, malignantly narcissitic bubbles, that’s what Obama advisors probably realized in the aftermath of the Shellacking. If he’d kept parroting the hyper-left, his entire legacy was finished and in jeopardy. Ultimately the Enviro-fascists don’t really care about minority, union issues, or gay marriage. The anti-war crowd could care less about how much Obama has done for the overall Liberal agenda, or regulating what we can eat. Then there’s those pesky Blue Dogs and RINOs, who even if they’re idiots that can typically be bought off with pork, can read a poll that shows 70% of the country livid with them. Even with the 111th governing super-majority, the gap between the Left and Center of their coalition was so wide they had to basically buy-off everyone to pass what they could of the agenda, pleasing no one and pissing off everyone. Do you remember how Obama blamed his dispirited and disorganized base for the impending shellacking? That is before he warned them of “hand to hand combat.”

There are real divisions within the vehicle that is the Socialist-Democrat Party. If I may paraphrase Levin the Great One, who wasn’t fooled by this deal from the beginning, it’s like noting the subtle differences between Bolsheviks and Mensheviks, clamoring for Lenin’s attention at the top of the food chain, meanwhile other evil brutal tyrants like Stalin have their own diabolical plans for “World Peace.” I mean, Americanism truly is the anti-thesis to Leftism at all levels for this exact reason, ironically making it the world’s only hope for true peace.

Will that dynamic endanger this deal? Not unless the unlikely happens and the Republicans back away from it for some reason like the House or Senate tinker it with pork sweetners. Like we’ve all said over and over now, Obama isn’t really giving up on Class Warfare or validating supply-side. Simply shedding his skin and breaking a small promise to the hard left, who’re so nuts they believe (temporarily) he’s actually abandoned them to sign a peace treaty with the enemy. What they were expecting is for a situation to emerge like that between Hamas and Israel, while their proxy allies continue to subvert and wage the good fight on the ground war.

My apologies if this response was repetetive or poorly written.

Now Piglosi and Reid are larding the deal up with unacceptable crappola.

The Moron is about to step in and “exert his leadership”.

Which means that he will very publicly tell them to take out the stuff he never had intended to put in the deal anyway. The msm will play its role by eplaining to the American public how a Great Leader must sometimes go against the will of his own party to do the right thing for the American People. The Repubicans of course will faint with pleasure and vote for the crap sandwich.

Mitch won’t have to deal with those angry Teapartiers in January on this one. God knows what those nuts might have done to ruin the dealmaking of the great Solons.

Knowing our boy Barry, he just might like it. Especially if it is some buff white dude.

I’ve never been able to find any issues I agree with Democrats on. However, this is a sentiment I share.

All this feigned outrage by the communists is a charade to fool the Republicans – and it is working. Republican politicians may never understand the enemy.

What’s the big deal? I say this several times a day myself, sometimes several times in the same sentence. It has such a pleasant ring to it.

I’m sure hildabeast says it before 5 a.m. every morning.

  7. Mithrandir says:

For all the talk about Republicans should COMPROMISE with the Democrats (exclaimed every year I have been alive) is all nonsense. Look how the Democrats lose their mind at the mere thought of compromising with Republicans. . . .

Why Repubs fall for this every year is unexplainable to me.
