Just some lawmakers taking well timed donations from lobbyist that don’t exist. Nothing to see there. And while Democrats want to cut defense spending, they don’t want to look at possible abuses in defense contracts (at least if Murtha’s involved).

Hey, how youse doin’? It’s me, your old pal Jack “Pretty Boy” Murtha and I’m here ta add balance ta dis story. See, youse might think from readin’ dis, expecially if youse is won na my racist, numbskull constituents, dat I’m some kinda flim flam man, some kinda grifter, some kinda…youse know, crook or sumthin’.

Well, before youse all answer “Yes! Yes! YES!” lemme axe youse one quextion: do I have da face of a crook? Naaah. Hell no! Ignore da jowls, da wattles, da busted blood bessels, da enlarged pores and dose funny spots which, frankly, has got me a little worried, and I look like George Washington! At least dat’s what my friends tell me – and I gotta lotta friends.

Look at dat pitcher of me and summa my good friends – don’t we look honest? Huh? Don’t we look like da kinda guys youse could trust? Expecially Jerry over dere on da right (he’s da one who looks like Vladimir Putin but don’t tell him I said nuthin’).

Donut make you proud dat dis great country has offered so many rewards fa me and my pals and plenty more guys like us? Huh? Wait until da stimulus kicks in – we’ll needa fleet a dump trucks ta take away all da money we’re gonna be stealin’. Dey’ll need ta put an extra wing on da FBI building ta handle all de investigations dey’ll be runnin’ on dis thing but hey, who gives a f***? Not me. I’m fireproof.
