I am not sure which is the biggest self-absorbing waste of time in Washington (other than passing reams of laws we don’t need)

    The Correspondents dinner

The State of the Union Address

Both suck so much, I am still shocked that people attend either of these things.

Is Politico actually a news organization?

I thought they were part of Bagdad Bob’s staff.

    Oh my gawd!

Asking “How Self Absorbed Is Washington, DC?” is like asking how much air is there. Whatta hoot! Self absorbed = the Washington gang .. ad infinitum!

And with o-blah-blah leading the charge .. unmeasurable!

Thanks for the laugh this morning, Steve.

It’s like contemplating if Hollywood is narcissistic? –If you have to ask, then you already know the answer.

Everyone keeps score in Washington of who is up, and who is down. It is the typical lawyer game: How many “W”s or “L”s do I have? It is Cesar hoping to hear loud clapping from his cronies in the Coliseum.

The political class is like the cheerleaders and the jocks positioning themselves for each others’ attention. That is why power has to be ripped from the federal government, to get away from his cancerous drama we endure every minute of every day.
