Huma ‘Faces Blacklash’ For Defending Weiner?

First we have this from CBS radio’s NYC affiliate, WINS:

Huma Abedin Faces Backlash For Defending Anthony Weiner Amid Sexting Scandal

July 24, 2013

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) – Anthony Weiner’s wife, Huma Abedin, has been hit with a widespread backlash after standing by her husband as he admitted to another sexting scandal…

A backlash from whom? Certainly not the news media, who have treated her like the biggest martyred heroine since Joan Of Arc. Or maybe even Hillary Clinton.

With a spread in People Magazine last summer, it seemed like the couple was campaigning to show that Weiner had been rehabilitated, CBS 2′s Tony Aiello reported…

Not to mention the long article that Huma wrote for Harper’s Bazaar, which came out just yesterday. And which made similar claims about his rehabilitation and their great marriage.

But the revelation that he was still exchanging explicit messages with a 22-year-old woman last summer was a credibility buster for both…

Again, with whom has her credibility suffered? Maybe with some of the denizens of Twitter. But certainly not the mainstream news media.

Here is just one example of the media’s fawning over Huma, via Reuters:

Display of loyalty by Weiner’s wife draws praise and pity

By Edith Honan | July 24, 2013

NEW YORK (Reuters) – If Anthony Weiner remains a contender in the New York City mayor’s race after admitting a second time he sent lewd pictures to women he met online, he will have his wife, Huma Abedin, to thank, political watchers said on Wednesday…

Abedin, 36, a longtime aide to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, broke from the usual playbook of supporting wives when Weiner resigned in 2011 and was conspicuously absent from her husband’s side.

But the couple stayed together and Abedin has played a critical role in rehabilitating Weiner’s image by sacrificing her well-guarded privacy to publicly support him…

Lee Miringoff, director of the Marist College Institute for Public Opinion, gave Abedin high marks for her appearance on Tuesday.

"I think she did exactly what she needed to do," Miringoff said. "Without her, he was walking to a trapdoor and his candidacy was over. She provides credibility for the changes that he says he’s gone through. If you don’t believe him, maybe you’ll believe her." …

Others questioned her decision.

The New York Post ran a photograph of Abedin, her head bowed, on its cover, saying Weiner had sent her to "new depths of humiliation." In its editorial calling on Weiner to step out of the race, the New York Times wrote that it was difficult "not to feel for Ms. Abedin." …

What a "backlash." If Weiner were a Republican, Huma would be portrayed and mocked as a ‘Stepford Wife,’ and worse.

Instead of calling it “backlash”, let’s call it “blowback”. That way at least the statement has comedic value. Watch the press do their best Kevin Bacon at the end of Animal House. Nothing to see here… ALL IS WELL…

The people who know him will still vote for him? Yes, lets put our friend Anthony in office because we know him. And even though he is a pathological liar, a serial pervert, and blames his wife or anyone else within arms reach for his shortcomings, and is just a real dirtbag, as a New Yorker I want him to be in control of my money. ??? I guess that shows what kind of people know Wiener. Morons.

That’s enough to make your head explode. I knew some of this info but…. wow…Knowing that this woman was and is driving the foreign policy of this nation is sickening.

What a weak woman. My wife ,would have give’n me the “boot” at the first call. Strong men have strong women, they keep us on an even keel. This family is adrift, with no sustenance. Just power. Shame on both.
Worse, vote for for the fool.

Huma Abedin and Weiner should worry about punishment for dishonoring her Muslim family with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. One thing was marrying a Jew, but now this perversion.

Surely, she can’t forget when she assisted Hillary Clinton on her first trip to the newly moderate Egypt the modern Muslims all held signs up for Hillary to leave Bill and signs with Monica’s name.

The only solution is for Weiner to become a Muslim, then his behavior will be excused.

Bottom line is she can work in the Mansion and keep in the limelight and run for officer herself, just as pathetic Hillary who didn’t throw Bill’s clothes on the WH lawn showed a weakness.

Their greed for fine mansions and dining overrules their husband’s sex addictions.

Blaming the woman has a long history.
