Illegal Indicted in Chandra Levy Slaying

From an endlessly discreet Associated Press:

Suspect indicted in Chandra Levy slaying

May 21, 2009

WASHINGTON – The man accused of sexually assaulting and killing federal intern Chandra Levy in 2001 has been indicted on first-degree murder, kidnapping and other charges.

Ingmar Guandique (gwahn-DEE-kay), 27, who is in custody, will be arraigned on May 27. He also faces a first-degree sexual abuse charge, according to the four-page indictment returned by a District of Columbia Superior Court grand jury on Tuesday…

The 24-year-old Levy had just completed an internship with the U.S. Bureau of Prisons when she disappeared in May 2001 after leaving her apartment in jogging clothes. The Modesto, Calif., native’s remains were found in Rock Creek Park a year later.

Guandique’s lawyers have said the case against him is flawed because it is largely based on the accounts of "jailhouse snitches" interviewed years after the slaying. Guandique has been serving a 10-year federal prison term in California for two other attacks in the same park where authorities say he attacked Levy

The case has been blamed for destroying the political career of former U.S. Rep. Gary Condit of California, who was romantically linked to Levy. Authorities questioned the Democrat who represented the Modesto district where Levy grew up, but he was never a suspect.

You would never know that Mr. Guandique is an illegal alien from El Salvador from the Associated Press.

Obviously the AP thinks such information should be kept from its readers.

I’d donate a large sum of money to be this turds “personal” hemorrhoid.
Illegal? Naw…..just looking to make a better life for himself and doing the jobs Americans do…..for half the money!! (bastard)

  2. GetBackJack says:

    Bovine Scatology.

Chandra Levy was a torpedo aimed at Gary Condit. Ms. Levy was then taken out by the people who sent her. This is the poor sclub who has no idea how he got in this predicament.

    • Liberals Demise says:

      You are kidding, right?

    • catie says:

      LD, with him who knows?

    • Liberals Demise says:

Poor sclub? This monkey spunk is MS-13 as well as illegal.
But lets not do anything about him or his ilk. Let us all turn our heads and pretend they don’t exist. Maybe it won’t be your daughter they kill next, Mr. GetBackJack.

San Francisco has a fine little collection of MS-13s of its own. The city failed to deport the little victimized drug-dealing sweethearts because of its sanctuary city policy. Google “Edwin Ramos” and “Bologna family” for an example of what great guys MS-13 gangstas are.

  3. MinnesotaRush says:

He ought to feel right at home in prison. I hear they’re full of illegals.

  4. caligirl9 says:

So Associated Press does not allow for the use of the phrase “illegal alien from El Salvador.”

Wow. Better add that to my AP Style Guide so I can stay current and correct with any journalism-style writing I need to do.

So what’s the accepted phrase? “A person in the U.S. looking for a job (and/or welfare and health care benefits) who doesn’t happen to have any valid identification?” Yeah, that fits the politically correct bill …

  5. Peggy says:

I can’t help but remember how some other sites (ahem) tarred and feathered Gary Condit as this woman’s murderer.

    • 1sttofight says:

Everyone knew that condit was not man enough to do it, but it is yet to be proven that he did not have a hand in her murder.

    • Peggy says:

“Everyone knew that condit was not man enough to do it”

      Not so at all.

“but it is yet to be proven that he did not have a hand in her murder.”

Did you read the article, or any of the articles about the murderer?

Me, I’m grateful to the AP (A-so-see-AY-ted Press) for the handy phonetic guide telling me how to pronounce Senor Gwandyke’s name.

  7. Yarddog1 says:

Well hell – the Demos just lost another voter.

  8. Reality Bytes says:

Me? I’d tie him by that fruity little goatee of his to Colonel’s bumper & drive him through the hood as an example. Hell! We could probably sell tickets!

  9. JohnMG says:

That tattoo on his neck had ought to read, “Cut Along Dotted Line”.

  10. pdsand says:

Well at that time, as I’m sure it is today, murder was not out of the realm of possibility for Democrats. Condit was famously a “blue dog”, and this could very well have been an attempt to get that seat a little more liberal, especially because the republican margin in the house was slim back then. But as it has fallen safely into the hands of a fellow “blue dog” man, I guess it no longer matters, and the liberals have a solid majority now. Might as well close this case.
That was my tin-foil hat moment for the day.

  11. Grassy Knoll says:

According to this story Condit was just some schlub in the wrong place at the wrong time. Never mind that he had an inappropriate affair with a young woman 30 years younger and then basically lied about it to the police, or at least withheld information. The “case” was blamed for ending Condit’s career? Please.
