Racial Profiling : the consideration of race when developing a profile of suspected criminals; by extension, a form of racism involving police focus on people of certain racial groups when seeking suspected criminals.

The officer didn’t need to profile the “criminal” HE GOT A DESCRIPTION FROM THE 911 CALL!!!!! Mr. Gates at that point was not profiled, he was in the house that was reportedly broken into, and surprise surprise… he FIT THE DESCRIPTION!!! He was in fact the one that broke into the house. So the situation was not a profiling situation, it was an identity situation. Gates figured he was too good to be questioned by some white cop, never mind the fact that that white cop came to Gates’ home to stop an alleged crime in progress.

Scream racist loud enough and you’ll get over. That is the lesson this man teaches, and he apparently walks the walk of a race baiter. The lowest kind of human being in my opinion. If anyone wants to have a talk about race relations in this country the first thing that needs to be addressed is the assumption by people who aren’t white that only white people can be racist, and that all white people ARE racist because they’re white. Isn’t that assumption in itself racist??

Professor heal thyself. Then shut up and thank the cops for putting themselves in danger for your benefit.

Uh-oh looks like the commander in chief is now backing away from “race” being an issue to utilizing other “victimhood” rallying cries: ageism and disability.

“Gates and his attorney, Harvard colleague Charles Ogletree disputed the police report, with Gates noting that he has a bronchial infection contracted in China, which renders him incapable of yelling.[11][1]”

Hilarious. Never mind, as someone mentioned, that there are hands with tape recorders sticking into the area clearly visible in photos of the incident. Where are the audio reports, taped on the spot? He made an ass of himself and they don’t want the world to hear it.

I remember thinking at the time this is going to really hurt him, but with the above report out in the open now, it’s devastating. BHO really stepped in it. And to think this was a carefully staged media event.

His disapproval rating will sink below 50%. And that’s before they jack up the taxes to pay for his “Crapulus” programs.

Its not 2009 for them, its not even 1909 – its like 1809, and anyone who isn’t a white male landowner is in some way a slave, a chattel, a victim. This attitude is so socially corrosive, so ignorant, so wrong and such an insult to those who really were victims that you have to wonder about the motivation of those who espouse it. Actually, I don’t wonder at all. They have their agenda and this cult of victimhood is a useful tool to move it forward.

Knowing all of this, it seems very possible that Barry’s venture into what should have stayed a local (non)issue concerning the Cambridge police’s arrest of a disorderly professor Gates, was nothing more than a cunning ploy to distract attention from his failed UHC bill and further attempt to both racially divide this country and garner sympathy for him as a “black man in America where the black man is still a victim.”

It also seems very possible that Gates purposely inflated the situation with officer Crowley, knowing that the attention he manufactured from it would help sell his books, dvd’s and future projects.

And perhaps unrelated is the fact that CNN aired its much-hyped “Black In America” series for the last two nights. The massive promotions and lead-in to the shows were dramatically sensationalized by featuring the breaking news of the Gates case. The reporting on the Gates case by CNN has been decidedly one-sided, and after two days officer Crowley’s side was finally aired, but has been treated as if it is too-little-too-late and completely unconvincing. The interview with Soledad O’Brien today was particularly telling of a CNN perspective.
