"An American couple interviewed by Fox, said at one point, people weren’t even protesting, when the militant police started beating and shooting. They said that before this happened the Iranian people were modern, and liked Americans. I guess they don’t understand the new president."

I flipped to Campbell Brown on CNN last night while watching O'Reilly and she had one of the Daily Show fake news reporters on her show talking about his recent trip to Iran. He revealed that the Iranians are just like the Americans (shocking!). This is a talking point I often see repeated by the left to morally equivocate our countries, in order to justify allowing their "peaceful" nuclear power ambitions to go forth. The left is not comfortable with the U.S. being a superpower--just like many educated folks on the left as a body are publicly ashamed of wealth and power, Bamster is ashamed of properly wielding the U.S. as a superpower.
The funny thing is that they aren't asking us to do much other than publicly acknowledge their struggle and condemn those in power who are oppressing them, why wouldn't we want to shine the light of truth on what's going on over there? But Bamster says we need to be afraid of the truth because of the way the bad guys will pervert our message. That will never change.

The truth sets us free.

Get in line. I expect there will be plenty more people "disappointed" in TOTUS.
I am not. I expected this.
But not quite so bad so fast ...

FOX.news
pretty woman shot and killed seen around the world identified as Neda Solton hailed a martyr in Iran.
All mosques were given a direct order from the government barring them from holding any memorial services for Neda, and her family was threatened with grave consequences if anyone gathered to mourn her,

Much of the attention and blame for Neda's apparent murder is now being focused on Iran's leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, whose threatening speech Friday preceded the violent protests Saturday at which apparently Neda lost her life.

Protesters have reportedly been attempting to gather in public Monday to remember Neda but have been broken up by the government.

Now reformist presidential candidate Mehdi Karroubi, one of the leaders of the democratic protests in Tehran, has called for a Thursday night memorial service for all protesters who have been killed to be held at the shrine of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini,

Whether or not there is a violent crackdown at Thursday night's memorial, the Islamic underpinnings of the regime are more and more being called into question by Iranians, said Salehi, particularly after the ban on mourning Neda, which contradicts Islamic law, he said.

"Not only is that not right, but according to Islamic tradition it is immoral and improper, so they are essentially breaking one of their own laws out of fear."

FOX News' Melissa Tabatabai contributed to this report.

Also, young Iranian people interviewed by Fox said they were disapointed in Obama. One Iranian begged for the U.S. to help them, over and over again. Guess they don't get Obama a new breed.
They really must think the world is stupid. Iran lies all the time about Western countries and downplays the vicious Iranian record on human rights. All I can hope is that the idealists in the white house recognize that the regime likes to lie, lie, lie - and it is doing so with the nuclear program.

We've seen videos of teenagers sniped (including an unarmed girl walking with her father), basij shooting into unarmed crowds, helicopters dropping lye, guards busting into houses, terrorizing dorms, and eyewitness claims that over 100 people were killed. And still Iran tries to lie.
