Iran accuses US, Israel in nuclear scientist murder

Tue, 12 Jan 2010

Iran’s Foreign Ministry said Tuesday that it has found traces of US and Israel’s involvement in the assassination of an Iranian nuclear physics scientist.

"Primary investigations into the assassination revealed signs of the involvement of the Zionist regime [Israel], the US and their allies in Iran," spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast said.

Professor Massoud Ali-Mohammadi, a lecturer at Tehran University, was killed by a booby-trapped motorbike blast in the Iranian capital earlier in the day.

The explosion took place near the professor’s home in the Qeytariyeh neighborhood of northern Tehran.

Mehman-Parast strongly condemned the assassination, saying the participation of Israeli and American agents "runs counter to international regulations."

And we all know that the Iranians are such sticklers for ‘internation regulations.’

He, however, said such moves would not affect Iran’s pursuit of civilian nuclear technology.

"Such terrorist moves and apparent omission [sic] of Iranian nuclear scientists will definitely cause no obstacle in the way of the country’s scientific and technological development. Rather they will speed up it."

If only the good guys would be so active.

Let’s hope they are.

This professor at Tehran University, reportedly, was not a regime supporter.

It would be typical of the cowardly Ahmadinejhad & surrogates to eliminate their perceived adversaries and blame such assassinations on America and/or Israel.

Israel perhaps but I’d be very surprised if our good for nothing gov’t had either the brains or balls to do what needed to be done

I seem to recall that in the early 60s Nasser hired a bunch of ex-Nazi rocket scientists to work for him and the project was going full steam ahead until a series of mysterious Mossad-related explosions and car accidents depleted the workforce to the point that they all went back to Brazil or Paraguay or wherever and that was the end of Nasser’s ambitions in rocketry. Sounds like history’s repeating itself ( I hope).

  6. Liberals Demise says:

This from the regime that snuffs it’s own yet are guns up on those that whacked one silly nuclear nut.

“IF” Israel was to do something like this the lead story would be “Qut is Glowing.”

It’s fun the see the bombers get bombed. I hope he was a bad guy, and not a critic of the regime.
