Iraqi father proud of daughter’s ‘honour killing’

11/05/2008An Iraqi father who murdered his 17-year-old daughter after she fell in love with a British soldier said death was “the least she deserved”.
Abdel-Qader Ali claimed the ‘honour killing’ was supported by local police, and said his only regret was that he had not killed his daughter at birth.
Rand Abdel-Qader, who was studying English at Basra University, was stamped on, suffocated and stabbed by her father, with help from her two older brothers.
It was deemed she had brought shame on her family by falling love with the soldier, known only as Paul, as she chatted to him a few times while working as a volunteer with refugees. She died on March 16, after her father discovered the pair had been seen talking in public.
Abdel-Qader, 46, a government employee, was released from police custody after just two hours, and claims officers congratulated him on what he had done. “They are men and know what honour is,” he said.
Speaking at his home in Basra’s Al-Fursi district, he told a Sunday newspaper: “Death was the least she deserved, I don’t regret it. I had the support of all my friends who are fathers, like me, and know what she did was unacceptable to any Muslim that honours his religion.”
Abdel-Qader, who remains a free man, threw Rand’s body into a makeshift grave as her uncles spat on it in disgust.
He went on: “I don’t have a daughter now, and I prefer to say that I never had one. That girl humiliated me in front of my family and friends. Speaking with a foreign soldier, she lost what is the most precious thing for any woman.
“People from western countries might be shocked, but our girls are not like their daughters that can sleep with any man they want and sometimes even get pregnant without marrying. Our girls should respect their religion, their family and their bodies.
“I have only two boys from now on. That girl was a mistake in my life. I know God is blessing me for what I did.”
Abdel-Qader, a Shia, said he was proud of the actions of his sons, Hassan, 23, and Haydar, 21, who joined in the attack after they were begged by their mother to help Rand.
He added: “My sons are by my side, and they were men enough to help me finish the life of someone who just brought shame to ours.”
Rand’s mother Leila divorced her husband after the killing and has been forced into hiding for fear of retribution from his family.
She said: “They cannot accept me leaving him. When I first left I went to a cousin’s home, but every day they were delivering notes to my door saying I was a prostitute and deserved the same death as Rand.
“She was killed by animals. Every night when go to bed I remember the face of Rand calling for help while her father and brothers ended her life.”
The 41-year-old, who nicknamed her daughter Rose because of her beauty as a baby, said she was trying to raise enough money to escape abroad. She added: “Now, my lovely Rose is in her grave. But, God will make her father pay, either in this world … or in the world after.”

Though of course it is just another day’s story in too many parts of our world.

At least the young ladies mother sees the “animals” for what they are.
In this example of the “religion of peace” we can see that there is little hope in talking or negotiating with a culture that would allow such a thing.

When I read articles like this, I wonder what the hell we are doing in Iraq. These people aren’t worth saving, never were and never will be worth the blood of any American. We should have turned the place over to a more pro-American dictator & skidaddled after 2003.

It’s been quite awhile since a news story made me cry. God help me if I’m becoming used to things like this.
Still, as we are frequently told, this is a “cultural” thing and not an aspect of Islam. Curious how it only seems to be Muslims who perpetrate barbarisms like this, but I’m sure that’s just a coincidence.

I dated a beautiful Korean girl for a few years who’s parents didn’t approve of me. She was Harvard bound and I was - well just me. When they threatened to take all support from her she was gone in a New York minute. For a while I had hoped they would have an unfortunate accident involving a hungry Grizzly but today I’m just grateful not to be a part of that so-called family.
Everyday I wake to hear of some killing. Too many times it’s a parent killing their child or vise-a-versa. Last week there was a case of a 14 year old boy raping and killing a 4 year old he was baby sitting. Another of woman overdosing her toddler on methadone. I can’t give a rat’s ass about the people in Iraq. Eventually Islam will get their hands on weapons capable bringing death to millions of families.

Well, I for one can see why she fell in love with a foreigner and not a domestic Iraqi. The other point is that we are not just fighting for the freedom of Iraqis for which many will never appreciate, just as those in the states don’t appreciate the Global War on Terrorism, but to make it an away game. We are going to monitor and kill terrorists in Pakistan, Afghanistan and soon in Iran and Syria from the World’s largest embassy and secret military base complex in Iraq. Just because WE have Jack Murtha,Nancy Pelosi, Jim Webb, Harry Reid, John Kerry and many other Domestic @$$holes like this father in Iraq doesn’t mean we QUIT. Even though as tempting as it might be, and deserving of Muslim Terrorist sword as these Democrats might be, we must soldier on!

Why is it that people cry and moan because we “have no honor” by being in Iraq, yet they are silent when one of these all too frequent honor killings makes the news? There is no honor in this act, and that pond scum father and his dog shit sons are a reflection on why islam is such a plague on society.
I personally would be honored to cave in daddy’s skull with a claw hammer and stick both of the son’s hands in a blender before setting them on fire with road flares duct taped to their necks…..yeah, a true honor indeed eliminated sub humans like these.
What is appalling, is how our next president is going to allow this disease of islam to propagate a nuclear weapon, and then allow that nuke to be used against us, all because of politics, power, and political correctness…..

I could never figure out how genocide was allowed to happen in countries…….I am beginning to see why it isnt such a bad idea anymore. And I hate this pestulent religion for making me think such too. Did the British back in the day? We blew it. What’s the matter with us? Are we complete pussies, or what? Thank God my father is not around to see what we have become………
I don’t even think a nuke strike on our soil will stop the hand wringing and guilt trips of this entire puss generation…(We DESERVED it because of Hiroshima, blah, blah. Pick a “crime”….) Great point Lipstick on a PIAPS. It’s always struck me funny that liberals care more about saving the life of a polar bear or any plant or animal for that matter than they do innocent human life.
Everyday brings to light more common agreement between muslim terrorist murderers and liberals in the US.
